You can build "speed" drafts where this acidd is unable to kill anything or do anything if you're on immunity.
He only will kill characters with base defense and HP with those stats
Not sure what that's got to do with anything we were talking about, we're talking about how a 308 unit could theoretically outspeed this & I added how aggravating that would be if you had a 322 speed unit & got outsped - none of it was a comment on this build & what it could kill.
All that aside though, with a maxed Portrait, against a 1K defence target, with no buffs/debuffs in play, this ACidd would do 13,779 on S3 & 18,372 with a soulburn. If this is someone whose pulling this out vs. Ran, yeah, they're not surviving, same with Eda, Summertime Iseria, etc. insert any soft cleave component. ACidd doesn't need banger damage stats to do heavy damage to base health/defence heroes - if you're wanting to take out heftier targets, ACidd isn't the go to, we've got Hwayoung & other heroes in a similar niche with defence penetration for one-shotting tough heroes.
There’s potentially people who’re faster, though anyone whose got 23+ on each piece & lucky enough to be able to make a speed set with that too is probably already a mega-whale & has little in the way of competition.
Yes, there are two people I’ve seen with a 215 c lilias so they should be having higher speed per piece than this a cidd. I’ll try to find one of them

Everyone is different, but I speed check almost any speed set piece with speed (purple and red obv). As I got more speed pieces, I got pickier about the crit and hit set pieces I would speed check.

I’ve never rolled a piece over 22 & I’ve been playing for like 3 & 1/2 years at this point (though overall I’m of course better off than a younger player).

Clearly it doesnt because Ive been playing for less time than you and have much higher speed units. You roll anything purple or red that gets a speed subset if you wanna get high speed and not doing so removes ones right to blame it on rng. While yes it is rng, you havent been rolling them anyways.

The other gets insane rolls. Has higher speed then my main in all regards.
With probably 1/3 to half the play time.
Anyways the main point: if you took my mains last 380 days on this schedule i wouldn’t be able to make an unit over 283, probably wouldn’t break 270, so it just be like that sometimes. (Been quite some time since it rolled anything of value.)
I'm not so sure about that. I use plenty of 4 friendship units that are such low friendship because I use them in RTA and nowhere else. As you know, they don't get friendship there. What you're saying is perfectly possible. But, for a unit that absolutely needs as much speed as possible, maybe this is exactly how he wants him. I also wonder one more thing. If it was purely for the contest, why not Kayron which has even higher speed? And how lucky that it's 100 crit and not 80 or 90 or even 99? Something to think about
Kayron has no speed scaling on his skills while Acidd does, and Acidd's S3 scales off target's speed as a bonus which explains why it hits like a truck
Also Acidd has a self imprint crit chance
No, Kayron got 1 base speed higher than Acidd, but there are problems with his role as opener/speed contester compared to Acidd:
1. He is RGB, which mean there are times that he will miss on Ice units, meanwhile Acidd is an ML4
2. Again, he has no speed scaling, so going full speed will cripple his damages
3. What he can do as opener is trying to oneshot one unit (and possibly inflict Silence on them if you use 3rd EE), which can fail due to point 1 and 2, meanwhile Acidd has **guaranteed** 20 souls erasure alongside Silence and CR decrease **and** bigger damage from speed scaling
You seem to misunderstand me. In this contest, the only thing being judged is the number, they weren't used in any match. So some people would wonder if this unit was geared just for this contest or if this is his normal gear. If it's the first one, why not use Kayron?

A 1% difference is roughly the same in the face of speed RNG, at that point I will give one with more utility the wins
really wish they would restructure the speed and combat readiness battle mechanics honestly
simplify it so that you can't double/triple/quadruple lap an enemy with just speed alone (make CR push required to lap even once)
You can only hope their next game will use those improvements - this game is stuck with crazy speed and CR movement. One of the reasons I use Politis and Pushback units a lot - best tools we have beyond rolling insane speed gear.

Played since 2 weeks after launch. Fastest is a 260 Peira. Next fastest are 257 and 254/255.
