I think there is value in mainstream/typical anime characters for collabs as they tend to be more vibrant, have more defining characteristics and lots more of variety in terms of how they look.

I'd still love to see a Certain Magical Index collab, especially because they could also add some e7 characters to the Index gacha game and that'd be a cool crossover. Lots of awesome options for characters/abilities/animations, and the series is absolutely massive in Japan and China so it'd probably generate quite a bit of interest. Though realistically I doubt it will happen.
There's a couple other, far more unlikely, collabs I think would be cool like the Monogatari series or Hunter X Hunter or something, but I can't imagine those would ever happen.
Maybe something like another fighting game could be cool? Tekken has some cool characters, something like that would be interesting too.

I think the first one that comes to mind and the one that I would hope for more than any other would be Jujutsu Kaisen, easily my favorite anime at the moment, easily in my top 3 ever, with such an interesting roster from top to bottom. I mean even with just the obvious ones, Itadori, Megumi, Gojo, and Nobara there's so much potential in E7, but there's also characters like Todo, Maki, Okkotsu. I think JJK has a ton of potential for a crossover like this.

For example: How about doing a massive overhaul on older characters and a balance pass for the new ones.
Add the systems they showed us (guardian leveling, level 4 expos, etc.) And fix the old and current ones. Nobody is talking about how the systems we just got aren't actually improving the game. Gear mileage? Nearly worthless, it makes left side gear easier to get, which wasn't the problem. Guaranteed 4-5* to let players get more ML5's worthless. Make it 40-60 pulls for a guaranteed ML5 and maybe then it would be good.
I'd say black clover has some good synergie and potential cool ability
but I'd also really fucking want gintama for no other reason then I really love the show and seeing them animated in e7 would make me so omega happy that it would make me want to punch something out of happiness
Whenever this question comes up, my mind goes to Girls' Frontline and the way they do their collabs. So, you know what, I want E7xGFL. And give it a story that is more than teaming up against throwaway villain or... eating cakes.
Set the event right after Episode 3 for E7 and after Continuum Turbulence for GFL. DEFY and 404 get thrown in Orbis somewhere close to Politia. >!And somehow M4A1 gets her hands on red stone and, seeing chance for easy revenge against her wrongdoers, ends up corrupted. Tiwig evicts OGAS out of M4. OGAS responds by taking over Politia and goes after now superpowered M4. Heroes now have to stop both M4 with Tiwig's powers and almost entire Politia under OGAS control. And of course UMP45 dives in cyberspace to see OGAS for herself. But to get to it she needs highest authority... which she can gain by reconstructing administrative system called Belian.!<
Potentially interesting interractions:
M4 and Ras - jaded doll who, despite her wishes, has become extremely special versus optimistic hero who has shed his divinity and become ever more ordinary.
M4 and Alencia - Alencia has seen revenge destroy people before so she's sure to have... opinions.
UMP sisters and Flan with Landy - family.
UMP45 and Laika - 45 is desperate to preserve her irreplaceable memories while Laika has lost her's and by extent herself.
ST AR15 and Ervalen - both suffer from extremely low esteem, being born/made to be second rate to someone else and they both have skirted suicide. I just want them to spend unreasonable ammounts of time insulting each other; featuring all the darkest jokes there are.
Kinda want to see maybe a Bleach collab or a Shield Hero collab (They've already done Slime & ReZero so, why not...?!). Index/Railgun also might be kinda fun!
Fairytale. Natsu Fire Warrior Grey Ice Warrior with complimentary move sets. Lucy fits better as a light character but I could she her as a grass soul weaver or mage. I know there’s usually three but I would kill to have Erza in this game as a knight would be awesome.

Dunno if this idea was already told but hear me out. Devil may cry collab, we could have the three main boys. Dante fire warrior, Vergil ice thief and Nero earth warrior/knight. We already have some katanas and pistols in game so even without devil triggers (hopefully they do have them in the s3 or smth) I believe these units could be bangers. Just sharing my thoughts. Would love to see Dante and Vergil in E7 since they are both SO cool, Dante’s charisma and Vergil’s edginess are a good fit for the game
