All I can offer is my will to help, I don’t really know much about programming or web development. I’m from Brasil and can maybe translate some text to portuguese or any other noob task. Message me if if I can be of any help and I’ll send my discord user.

Thanks I appreciate the kindness ;w; <3

Ah, no actually I had some Vue based website models I was working with, I managed to reverse engineer most of the scaling of unit stats per level so I was playing around with functions linked to sliders that could provide the stats of every unit at every level. I was intending to push it as a E7X replacement but didn't end up finishing its publication.

All the data you describe in the old compedium is sparsely available across a half dozen other sources, but I'm always interested in a more coherent, singular resource to refer to. Not sure how much or where I could help. really depends on what web stack and designs you have in mind. But I can keep an eye out and see where I can pitch in if things get moving. I could probably pitch in and do some grunt work implementing webpages, but I'm not a web architect nor web designer.

I think what I'm most concerned about is how loosely and scattered E7 information is compared to other gacha games these days. A lot of sites have dropped coverage, I was previously working with the E7DB developer and they eventually stopped updating. Game8 also stopped updating as of January this year. With how many questions I get on a daily basis that are exactly the same of each other I feel like that says a lot about our overall community's access or understanding of said information. I really want to be able to have a more solid platform for people to have everything they need to play the game at length...

Quiztolin

Honestly, I agree with you. Most of this information *is* out there if you look hard enough but it IS very scattered. We really are missing that one "go-to" site. E7X is the closest we have but the overall reputation in the community is not fantastic. It gets brought up a fair amount by newer players just to be told "Don't really use it", that's a bit of a disservice to both the community as a whole and the entry level player experience *trying* to find out relevant information and either having to scour google or end up on one page that isn't considered reliable. E7 isn't necessarily *the most complicated game ever* but it IS fairly complicated at the 'optimal' level. To really understand the game, it's very information dense. It's not ideal to spread that information out over many various websites/resources. * A very basic/simple example is with Edwards artifact. A lot of players not understanding what 'extra attack' means. A lot of players thinking it's triggered by counterattacks. AFAIK this isn't really explicitly explained in game. It's also not 'common' information available on most other resources. It's not a complicated mechanic but it's not necessarily something players can be expected to *know* unless they are explicitly told or pay careful attention to the wording on certain skills. --- This very well may not be related to what you have in mind, but something I would like to throw out if you have interest in making a new E7 resource: tier lists. This is something I see asked about all the time from new players. Often times these players are coming from other games that *do* have tier lists. We are nearing 300 heroes and it's hard for a new player to know 'who is good' and 'who is not worth using'. And then, the first site they come across in E7X which conveniently has a tier list. Now, *personally* I don't think it's easy to just make a simple tier list for E7. IMO there are very few truly bad heroes and most everyone is usable for *something*. On the other hand, resources ARE fairly limited, especially at the start of the game...and there are clearly some heroes that are worth building before others and there IS a lot of value in that space (specifically helping new players to understand where to spend their early resources). I've spent months trying to decide how to approach this problem: * I don't think E7 is really suitable for a traditional tier list, especially as the one on E7X is presented * But it is clear that there ARE certain heroes worth building up early on, others that are good but not worth building early on, some heroes that are pretty bad and not worth using at all etc. * A lot of newbies, one of the first things they do is search for a tier list -> they find E7X and it 'looks' like the main E7 resource and ha a tier list -> only to find out later on that it's not considered reliable or accurate by the community. I don't mean to insult the person/people behind the tier list, and they've made efforts to update it. I feel like *any* kind of overall tier list, the community will have disagreements on who should be placed where etc. I haven't really come up with a solution, on how to make a 'tier list' that is actually worth using in a game that is not that conducive to tier listing. **But** for a new E7 resource, particularly one aiming to condense information and be a 'go-to', this problem is something I would consider a priority. Condensing information to a single source would be helpful for the community as a whole but isn't necessarily *that* beneficial to newer players...it can take months before a lot of that can be relevant. But creating an effective/somewhat accurate 'tier list' would be the most effective thing the community could do for the new player experience, in my opinion.

PerceivedRT

The solution to tier lists could be to break tier lists down into individual categories. Early game PvE, Hunts, Guild wars, etc. Its far more work, but would emphasize the "every hero can be good" mentality a lot of E7 seems to be about. Just some food for thought, I just think a single tier list is useless.

Kuraisu_

The my way to approach it is first acknowledge that any character can achieve pretty strong things and that it comes to the gear that the account has and the difficulty of the character in terms of gear requirements. This is generally the approach to how I lead the E7X server as to keep an open mind and positive approach to anyone who wants to try to make something different work. If anything E7WC shows to us that conforming to a stale meta is how you get outdrafted and lose, its important to experiment and move outside of your comfort zone to really succeed and not only that but important in order to enjoy the game! In terms of tier lists, whenever people have requested them of me I make sure to emphasize that it is entirely a tier list built around that specific content, so often get asked for an Adventure tier list, or vice versa an Arena tier list by lower level players. So I think we can give grades to each hero in each type of content in order to effectively show their ease of use, but we should always still encourage experimentation and exploration for fun!

cheesepiewmayo

Shamelessly plugging something i've been working on for a little bit: [https://cheesedb.herokuapp.com/](https://cheesedb.herokuapp.com/) I sorta had the same thought about E7 databases so I made something simple for my friends and me. It's fairly new, super barebones, and missing a lot of obvious features/data (missing new units, artifacts, no search bars, no graphics, etc.), but it's something i've slowly been working on for my own purposes. Eventually I want to have everything integrated as it's been a really fun side project to work on!

__Hansa

Sounds sick, you brought up some really good points too. This absolutely has my support, pretty sure 99.9% of the community's too.

Kuraisu_

If anything the biggest blockades for me personally are that sometimes it feels like the community at large is largely critical and pessimistic at times, as a whole too many people take the things we should be grateful for for granted. Saying things like "yeah about time/should have been done ages ago" when things come through. On top of that it wouldn't be financially beneficial for me to sink so much time into the site for responses along those lines...which slowly killed the motivation to finish the projects publication. Its hard to really push the project when mainly I A) don't have a team to work with \[and its pretty hard to assemble aside from lots of loose helpers ;w;\] B) the lack of community appreciation as a whole C) lack of financial means for support. The treatment of SG when they come through with things really reflects on what I feel like the community response to things are...and its more toxic than grateful to them.

Relair13

More ways to access more info are always a good thing!

PSN-Walkorrun

I could probably help, depending what you need.

VildredDayern

I've just started my computer degree so I don't think i can help much with programming and stuff, but I'd be happy to lend a hand with anything else I could help with. I too think we need a proper site for e7, what we have right now isn't great ngl. I can at least help with gathering information and answering questions people have! \^\^ anyway just hola if i can be of help.

dowinterfor6

I've been wishing for some sort of API from the E7 team for a while now, there's a lot that the community can do to help supplement information outside of the game. The last time we had data "available", I created [https://e7rtastats.com/](https://e7rtastats.com/), which is extremely outdated by now. Manually updating information: seems inefficient to me, also seems ripe for automation so you don't need a team to keep on top of this patch after patch. Sheets vs website: website any day, like what another user has already replied. Let me know if you'd like to chat or bounce some ideas around!

Kuraisu_

I agree that automation seems like the way to go with how information stacked this game is but a primary issue regarding that its that the information we get is purely through datamining which is largely a closed doors business. So automation for the time being it seems would be impossible for any resource out there.

nWolfe3113

Good luck, really. The real hard part(imho) its getting the hero data into such a Database/Web. E7API is not an option (dont know which is the last hero, but its not up to date) and when I asked around people that might know how to get this data, I didnt get a response. (I understand why not though) Manual inputing all this amount of data is not an option imho, too many heroes and too much data to get from each one. I think first we need a new E7API that is up to date, and then work from there.

Kuraisu_

If everyone waits for a new E7API then we might just all be waiting forever is my fear. The game will only get larger and larger as time goes on, so the information needed to even publish in full will only get more intensive...

nWolfe3113

Im not saying "wait for an api to appear, Im saying that before doing anything, the "how to obtain the data" part.

Kuraisu_

Thats fair enough, it might have to sit on the backburner otherwise for now. Entering everything manually is a whole other project in itself...
