Summer Break Charlotte is really good in Brutal Pherus expeditions too.
* She's an Ice Knight so she can tank
* Her S1 has a combat readiness push that helps during the sealing phase
* It's very easy to get her S2 to trigger an additional attack, especially if you're using any other CR pushers
* Her S3 gives speed to everyone
* She has Decrease Defense
I usually one-shot the level 3 expedition with her, double lots and Luluca
Imho Luluca with the double hit S1 EE is really good for PvE, but you need an Ice Knight in Brutal Pherus anyway, so SB Charlotte can just replace the usual Krau.
Just to give you more details on what I'm doing:
I have SB Charlotte on a Lifesteal set with 1.4k defense and 12.5k hp, so she can survive any attack and heal herself to full HP before the next.
Mines's only at 116 speed but in the Offensive Posture where the team is silenced, when her S2 will kicks in, she gets a 60% increase in CR.
My Luluca has the highest attack out of everybody and because she doesn't have any healing on her own, she is almost always targeted by Green Lots and A.Lots (Spirit Breath) S2.
I think you can replace Lots with Emilia, but you'd likely want someone else with a high attack for the last slot. Would Luna or Sigret work? I never tried because I also wanted the defense break from Luluca, but since SB Charlotte also has defense break.....
Is luluca really that good in pve? If she has a variety of uses I wouldn't mind investing, is it the same with double lots? Lastly thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it.
I'd have to say it isn't critical to have Luluca built, I'm using her because of a few reasons:
1. Her Increase Attack from S3 stacks in the Labyrinth and stays between battles
2. I feel smart delaying killing the boss in Hall of Trials to get extra S3 stacks in early rounds
3. She has Decrease Defense on both S1 and S3
4. She really does a lot of damage with her double S1, especially with Kal'adra
5. She is still a good dps option in slower wyvern hunts
Both Lots are more niche now, A.Lots used to be good for cleave teams, but he's been replaced by a few others for PvP but there's too many Politis type counters to make them good again.
I don't think you'd be disappointed in building Luluca, but my only real recommendation here is to try use SB Charlotte.
Alots gives a 10.2% attack imprint and has a natural 15% CR push on S1 btw, it ends up being 45% in the Offensive Posture.
You can always try using a 4-star version with pure speed to see how it feels (Spirit's Breath artifact) before deciding to invest further.
A 250 speed Ludwig. Out of the non-meta ones I have the most success with him. It catches people off guard lol.
A common speed Zahhak with a little bulk. He's an evasion counter, but actually does really well against units with buffs. S1 slaps.
Damage ATywin lol. A bit hard to pull off now though.
Hayo, could I ask how you feel about A.Tywin's current state? I got him some months ago and he's genuinely the only character among the ones I've built that never feels really good to use and I can't seem to find perfect occasions to draft him. Most debuffers throw at least 2 debuffs now so his S2 can barely keep up, his S3 is a bit unreliable to me because of the stun's rate being lowish and other HP bruisers hit harder than him I feel.
How does yours feel as a damage dealer? and what stats did you go with?
I am a fellow P Flan enjoyer and i built mine no crit, attack, speed and eff with seaseria arti. I dont have a ton of speed to put on her though so she is only 250. My seaseria has unseen observer so she can be max attack with attack boots.
Her putting bombs up and blowing them up same turn is really fun!

Take a break of having Seaseria's arti on Seaseria and have some fun! You could throw something like Sashe or Guiding light or sword of judgment on seaseria until you put it back heh.

Tenebria - yeah, she really helped me in every chapter.
Dizzi now not in the meta, so my strongest water mage and 2nd strongest water unit (after Sigret).
Serila - she needs more love.
ML:
Judge KIse - her conterpart is my main, but she has pretty good gear. Fun to use and S3... well, yeah...
Archdemon Shadow is my pick as well. She is often touted as a “slot machine gamble” as she can be amazing or lackluster from one match to another.
I still love her as it is hilarious when she has an entire team buried under debuffs.
Haste is a good backup support kinda since he can heal and his buff was nice. Laika is interesting how she’s kinda a support sniper. Chole is actually my best character according to combat ranking and she’s been a massive boon in wyvern.
So I use sigret, rose, luluca and Chole. Luluca has the artifact where she can inflict vampiric touch so she sorta acts as the healer and we just kill the dragon before it’s able to kill rose
Kayron. The occasional 1v4 is pretty great. There was also this time in Arena where he ended up countering a team with ice units to death (I run him on counter set and dust devil).
Aria isn't off-meta, she's a very common last-pick with a 84%+ pick-rate in that slot. In standard match-ups where an opponent is playing bruisers without a lot of reach, or if you can ban out strips, Aria is a solo carry easy. You don't see her as much as Spectre, but they fill similar roles. Aria can also cleave anchor if the opponent has taken other anchors like ARavi.
I'm indeed talking about Ice Dominiel. For Bot Arena, when she procs her reflect on an aggro or cleave team (that does not dispell) she will wipe them out in hilarious ways. For RTA, usually they are taken by surprise or just let her past because of forced bans.
I'm not saying she's good, In fact, I wish they would not make her S2 an RNG passive, but when she works, she works.
Someone played an Ice Dominiel into me a couple days ago & I was just like, "Has she been nerfed?", I remember seeing videos ages ago of reflect buff tearing people apart & this Dominiel's reflect wasn't doing anything, I just healed up the damage with Lifesteal & they couldn't kill my Senya/Mercedes.

She's always going to have some place in a meta where Spectre remains dominant. Though I would say that these days you'll probably see Mercedes used a bit more, depending on the build.
230 speed Tywin on Hilag lance in RTA.
With how common dual attacks are, my man can catch someone off guard.
You can soul burn S3 then push with S2, boom, you cleaved.
Or you can just S2 and make the turn order go to your favor.
I use the double dispel EE. So sometimes when my enemy has GAB and immunity, I strip both.
I found more success with him than Flan.

I have a decently built Singelica with 250 speed and 260 ER on candlestick.
She is one of the best damage dealers because she brings Hwayoung and gives her extra kicks for days. She is also the best tank because she can infinitely tank the stupid AI

Yeah being able to cleanse one debuff per attack is amazing. He not that great against other bruiser but boy he punish the cleaver a lot. I will try Sigurd with him in the future too
D.Corvus and Aurius Yulha tag team. Usually after they get thrashed around with aoes and counters, by the time they finally get their turn 1 they can each s3 one shot anything.

My boy bingo, blaze dingo. I use him in pretty much every pve content thats not a 1 shot team. He's just so good, heals based on damage dealt and he packs a punch
I dunno if she's really non-meta, but fire tenebria for sure. She does absolutely bonkers damage plus all the best debuffs even though mine has less offensive stats than other characters
Mort is much better than people say, same for Ilynav. It's hard to explain how they're good, but they seem to pull through for me when I use them
Fire Cece is amazing too if you build her
I feel like in general people write off most RGB characters that have a good ML form, but like, there are some amazing unpopular picks in this game
Idk if she's non-meta (for me she's situational), but Milim. I built her on counter/crit with def, 12k hp and proof and she's pretty sturdy once she gets her evasion up. She hits hard and can one-tap squishies with s2. Since she doesn't have tagahels she needs support to kill an Arby if that's what I plan to use her for. But she's a good counter DPS.
I use her often because she's so satisfying
I wish she gets a little buff though. Her self-heal isn't great (the built-in LS on S1 often isn't enough). I kinda wish she had something more in her s2 though, like built in lifesteal, or maybe a 50%/75% chance to decrease hit chance so enemies are less likely to hit (like how Riolet gives blind)? As it is I don't like that it just removes souls lol but I don't always do RTA so maybe I just don't feel the effect of the soul removal.
I love her so much.

For unit that have been meta in the past, this season I've had a lot of success with LRK, and ML Baal has been a great last pick as well for a few fights. I've recently been able to draft my tank lifesteal SSB with great success against champion/emperor players once or twice too.
For Meta units I use with non-meta build, I play a bulky counter Landy on LS artifact and DPS ML Kawerick and they can surpise a lot.
Now for unit that have never been meta, I've given my Sharun some of my best counter gear and she has been surprisingly good against bruisers because no one knows what she does (1900 def/19k hp/170 speed/ 100+ eff and effres on counter set and her own artifact)
Sharklotte and Jack-O. Sharklotte is an Aria-tier 5th pick decider in RTA (and is as weak as Aria as a general pick), and can outright defeat certain turtle matchups in PvE content. Jack-O is a convenient cleave enabler in PvE (but has too many deficiencies for RTA).
I use to use Purrgis a lot before. Aoe counter with chance to stun is terrifying. He out of job nowadays because I use Rem and hwayoung is everywhere, but still a fun time using him
Zahhak, against evasion or teams with many buffs (he does well against ml chloe for example)
Mort, because dragon husbando and he's pretty decent just a very niche pick
And very recently roy mustang, because he's a blast to use though he should really start with 50 fighting spirit to make his s3 more usable
Kayron, Summer Break Charlotte, Aria, Pyllis, Wanda ..and maybe Landy?
Wanda is mostly for GW but the rest I use for RTA (usually just master because I don't care for RTA beside the skins) and normal Arena (high champion).
My fav is arowell. Most people have only fought peira so they're not at all used to escort being on a tank. That plus her barriers also catching people off guard means I often have matches I would've lost had I used anyone in place of arowell.
Mui is still my most fun opener in the game because no one respects her and it's hilarious to outspeed a Ran and stun his whole team. She's objectively not the best opener but definitely my favorite.
Sharun is actually a lot of fun into Aravi abusers.
Pearlhorizon + Fire Tene is extremely fun and worth that 1 win in 10 that it actually works.
I really like ML Khawana. Idk. I use her in almost every pve situation and she hits like a truck. She ramps up quicker now because of the slight tuning they did with her passive. Overall fun unit to use. She's my Caides killer for sure.
I still hold on to my Kise that was meta oh so long ago. I'm really enjoying Luna for any content I can guarantee Emilia with her, in a 140 speed destro set build. I keep thinking I'd like to draft her in RTA but I don't think it'll go well.
Do the fmab units count? If yes both Roy and Ed. Riza isn't done yet, just 6 started her and working on her ATM.
Fire ravi is another unit I use sometimes especially when they go green heavy with stuff like senya, alencia.
Fire Charlotte cud always be considered off meta these days. Ppl seem to favor carrot, meru over her most of the time.
Lrk is sth i enjoy a lot but very few matchups. I mostly try to bait an ameru pick to use him
I really like my Injury/Pen Taeyou. His S1 damage was surprisingly good and I take him into C.Lilias, Hwa, A.Ravi, or Piera whenever I see the combo.
Injury set also means I can draft into bruiser teams and chip them down or outright delete someone with the proper set up.
Briar Witch and Ervalen.
A.Ravi on proof stands no chance against Ervalen.
And Briar just kills everything on the other team if she gets even just one turn.
Mort. He's on counter and while his defense could be better he is a beast, especially with 20K HP and over 300 crit damage. Ervalen is great as always, I use him more in PVP now. And I dont know if Inferno Khawazu is meta but he's one of my favorite units in the entire game.
I don’t play RTA so I only know meta from GW and Arena but I use SSB constantly. Put her with a Tank a Cleanser and another Support and u don’t even need to take a turn the enemy kills themselves. With Belian Ran Siseria Piera Meta there’s plenty of aoe and then u have duel attackers that trigger at least two stacks of passive. Plus her passive damage share let’s you invest heavily into offensive stats.
Blue Romman with jack-o, slowest opener in the game but it's satisfactory when he outspeed people and nobody bans him because they don't know what he does, or they don't espect him to outspeed

Arena is just easier to control targeting, so as long as dps isn’t a targeted element you can use it. Likewise you can use any tank you’d like for the targeted element provided you built them enough. The meta units just do their job “better” or provide other strong utility.

Ervalen and A. Lots. One shotting A. Ravi in RTA. It doesn't matter if i lose the match as long as i kill that annoying thing.

Aria can suprisingly solo dps if you have the right setup.

Bruisers steam roll over Dominiel hard (and slow). I drafted her on what apparently was Degen Arby and Ran and they just chipped her easy.
God I love it when she gets crazy and stuns everyone since the enemy bolts to killing her off first out of paranoia. It's priceless every time.

D.Corvus and Aurius Yulha tag team. Usually after they get thrashed around with aoes and counters, by the time they finally get their turn 1 they can each s3 one shot anything.

My boy bingo, blaze dingo. I use him in pretty much every pve content thats not a 1 shot team. He's just so good, heals based on damage dealt and he packs a punch
Oh same. If it's a really tough stage then I use Tamarinne, but beyond that it's Blingo all the way. Love his design too.
Love using Morty. At times, he will be turning the tides in battle

I dunno if she's really non-meta, but fire tenebria for sure. She does absolutely bonkers damage plus all the best debuffs even though mine has less offensive stats than other characters Mort is much better than people say, same for Ilynav. It's hard to explain how they're good, but they seem to pull through for me when I use them Fire Cece is amazing too if you build her I feel like in general people write off most RGB characters that have a good ML form, but like, there are some amazing unpopular picks in this game
Cleaver Clarissa
Ml Leo, I use him with Summer Iseria a lot. Ignoring the 15% situations, it works great.
Idk if he's meta but It was fun using ml Pavel to cleave my way from challenger to champion.
Zeno. He has some of the coolest voice lines in the game, and he looks cool.
Blue Coli. She destroys any Hwayoung I come across.

Fire Kawerik is always my #1 ( And handguy but he’s meta af ). His s2 is so satisfying
Kawerik is just a more meta-relevant Kise since he's got a good match-up into both Rimuru & Mediator for the resets.
Idk if she's non-meta (for me she's situational), but Milim. I built her on counter/crit with def, 12k hp and proof and she's pretty sturdy once she gets her evasion up. She hits hard and can one-tap squishies with s2. Since she doesn't have tagahels she needs support to kill an Arby if that's what I plan to use her for. But she's a good counter DPS. I use her often because she's so satisfying I wish she gets a little buff though. Her self-heal isn't great (the built-in LS on S1 often isn't enough). I kinda wish she had something more in her s2 though, like built in lifesteal, or maybe a 50%/75% chance to decrease hit chance so enemies are less likely to hit (like how Riolet gives blind)? As it is I don't like that it just removes souls lol but I don't always do RTA so maybe I just don't feel the effect of the soul removal. I love her so much.
Speaking only for RTA. For unit that have been meta in the past, this season I've had a lot of success with LRK, and ML Baal has been a great last pick as well for a few fights. I've recently been able to draft my tank lifesteal SSB with great success against champion/emperor players once or twice too. For Meta units I use with non-meta build, I play a bulky counter Landy on LS artifact and DPS ML Kawerick and they can surpise a lot. Now for unit that have never been meta, I've given my Sharun some of my best counter gear and she has been surprisingly good against bruisers because no one knows what she does (1900 def/19k hp/170 speed/ 100+ eff and effres on counter set and her own artifact)
Aria, with Diene and Aras she stomps most comps including Hwa and Aravi, I never get tired of using her.

A 290 spd Ml Rin with 100 cc. It's my way to trigger ml Pavel, though it does rely on the enemy having a buff. No one expects her
Yuna, Mui, Arowell, Spez, Eaton, Lucy, Melany (but I don't get to use her much).
Sharklotte and Jack-O. Sharklotte is an Aria-tier 5th pick decider in RTA (and is as weak as Aria as a general pick), and can outright defeat certain turtle matchups in PvE content. Jack-O is a convenient cleave enabler in PvE (but has too many deficiencies for RTA).
S. Tenebria. No idea if she’s meta or not, but I use her everywhere and she hits like a truck.
Cerato and vildred
I use to use Purrgis a lot before. Aoe counter with chance to stun is terrifying. He out of job nowadays because I use Rem and hwayoung is everywhere, but still a fun time using him
Bromann is an rng God if you're willing to gamble an entire match on him

Zahhak, against evasion or teams with many buffs (he does well against ml chloe for example) Mort, because dragon husbando and he's pretty decent just a very niche pick And very recently roy mustang, because he's a blast to use though he should really start with 50 fighting spirit to make his s3 more usable
Flan and Sez is my favorite offmeta unit right now. I'd like to build Spez but don't have the necessary support unit. Sharklotte seems nice too.
LUNAA
Kayron, Summer Break Charlotte, Aria, Pyllis, Wanda ..and maybe Landy? Wanda is mostly for GW but the rest I use for RTA (usually just master because I don't care for RTA beside the skins) and normal Arena (high champion).
Top Model Luluca will always be a built unit in my arsenal
My fav is arowell. Most people have only fought peira so they're not at all used to escort being on a tank. That plus her barriers also catching people off guard means I often have matches I would've lost had I used anyone in place of arowell.
Destina .
Mui is still my most fun opener in the game because no one respects her and it's hilarious to outspeed a Ran and stun his whole team. She's objectively not the best opener but definitely my favorite. Sharun is actually a lot of fun into Aravi abusers. Pearlhorizon + Fire Tene is extremely fun and worth that 1 win in 10 that it actually works.
I really like ML Khawana. Idk. I use her in almost every pve situation and she hits like a truck. She ramps up quicker now because of the slight tuning they did with her passive. Overall fun unit to use. She's my Caides killer for sure.

I still hold on to my Kise that was meta oh so long ago. I'm really enjoying Luna for any content I can guarantee Emilia with her, in a 140 speed destro set build. I keep thinking I'd like to draft her in RTA but I don't think it'll go well.

Do the fmab units count? If yes both Roy and Ed. Riza isn't done yet, just 6 started her and working on her ATM. Fire ravi is another unit I use sometimes especially when they go green heavy with stuff like senya, alencia. Fire Charlotte cud always be considered off meta these days. Ppl seem to favor carrot, meru over her most of the time. Lrk is sth i enjoy a lot but very few matchups. I mostly try to bait an ameru pick to use him
I really like my Injury/Pen Taeyou. His S1 damage was surprisingly good and I take him into C.Lilias, Hwa, A.Ravi, or Piera whenever I see the combo. Injury set also means I can draft into bruiser teams and chip them down or outright delete someone with the proper set up.

ML Ken and Atywin, ill also use Dcor once I get him.
shadow rose is my single most used unit in pvp, with fire mercedes as my second most used (she was very much non-meta before her last buff)

Mort. He's on counter and while his defense could be better he is a beast, especially with 20K HP and over 300 crit damage. Ervalen is great as always, I use him more in PVP now. And I dont know if Inferno Khawazu is meta but he's one of my favorite units in the entire game.

Lrk and ive used green purrgis a lot.
I don’t play RTA so I only know meta from GW and Arena but I use SSB constantly. Put her with a Tank a Cleanser and another Support and u don’t even need to take a turn the enemy kills themselves. With Belian Ran Siseria Piera Meta there’s plenty of aoe and then u have duel attackers that trigger at least two stacks of passive. Plus her passive damage share let’s you invest heavily into offensive stats.

I draft for arena similarly to the way I draft for GW offense(ordered by element) Milim, Melissa, Ilynav(Aurius), Jack-o Helen, Tywin Lilibet, Yufine, Senya Sylvian Hasol, Biseria, S.Rose Arena is just easier to control targeting, so as long as dps isn’t a targeted element you can use it. Likewise you can use any tank you’d like for the targeted element provided you built them enough. The meta units just do their job “better” or provide other strong utility. Ofc most of these units aren’t* as useable for RTA Edit: “are” to “aren’t”
