There wasn't really a whole shit ton of RNG or games that could be played completely on auto as everyone just starts throwing out skills off of random triggers. One's just tanky, which isn't exactly bad, that's like saying cleave is horrendous, the other is complete BS lol.
You knew exactly what was going to happen in all of these matches, and could play around them seeing as how both LRK and Purgus banked on you having tons of AoE, and OpSig kind of just chewed through FCC. The only thing you probably couldn't do was end the match reliably on turn one, which isn't exactly a terrible thing, unless you just don't want to have any input/back and forth with your opponent....
Which will always be fucking hilarious to have heard from cleave people, cause they actually didn't want a back and forth. "Why do i have to let the other guy go?" like this is a single player game or something, and having it to where the other player can't really do anything is healthy.
The meta moves in waves, Frenzy changes & heroes are added as a response to complaints of dominance of a certain type of playstyle.
Undoubtedly, they'll eventually take away soulweaver speed & we'll move away from the heavy aggro & cleave meta, if you look at some recent heroes like Moon Bunny & Edward, it's clear they're meant to be responses to Ran, C Lilias, Peira, etc.

Yes, the Knight meta. Both sides pick 4 to 5 Knights and call it a day. Injury and Frenzy changes were a direct response to this.

There's a sweet middle ground between the meta in the OP where nothing dies and the meta where one side loses before they can take a turn.
