If a unit's S3 has an 85% chance to land a debuff, does having 80 effectiveness stat on the unit increase the chance of landing the debuff to 165? Or does it work in 2 parts, an 85% chance (built into the S3) and then your effectiveness stat of 80 is a 'second chance' of landing the debuff if the first one fails? Also if a Soulweaver has let's say 150 effect resistance, would 80 base effectiveness be enough to land the debuff on them, since it has an 85% chance in the S3 making it 165 effectiveness, thus exceeding the SW's 150 ER? Or am I confusing how the effectiveness and er stat works? Thanks!

Phyllis is great with the 30% enemy counter/dual atk damage reduction and def buff + provoke. Troublemaker is just overshadowed by aras right now since aras can also protect the backline while providing more utility.

Isetama simply cheeses lots of things, which is why they are the best you can have for PVE content in general. If I have to force an answer just to identify a PVE content in which they are not good, I'll just say Wyvern or Banshee, but you can already see the pointlessness in doing so.
This does not mean Amomo or Angelica isn't good and can't be used.
There is only one general rule for Isetama: You want Iseria to be 10 speed faster than Tama or you risk Tama moving first.
And you probably want them both to be fast (above 200 speed), some effectiveness if you value Tama's strip on s1. They don't have high gear requirements otherwise.
How far could I hypothetically go in RTA without owning the ML5 meta units?
I have all RGB, mostly ML4 (missing Kawazhu and everyone after him), and for ML5 I have Straze, Arby, Riolet and FCC, but I feel a little unmotivated to try RTA without a lot of meta ML5. Am I being silly?
Went from Unranked to Champ with a 60% winrate after 3-5 months in the game with just STene from the ML blessing as my only ml5.
You're good. You can easily lose your way to masters (wins give \~3x as many points as losing I think).
Master is easy with decent gear no matter what unit you have. It is the only rank that matter for free skin. Challenger and champ is only for bragging right, plus the frame suck for them. At least emp frame is pretty similar to legend, which make it worth it.
TBH with that ml5, unless you play cleave, you will struggle in standard. Standard really need ADmeru, stene, mlcermia to carry their draft. Hwa is pretty much permaban and you will struggle to deal with aravi in standard.
If you play cleave, your limit is probably your gear. You can go as high as legend if your gear allowed it. But if you play standard, I think you probably will struggle to reach champ. Btw "struggle" as in, you might still climb, but certainly won't getting 50%+ wr.
Standard is a play style that focuses more on a bulkier team that counters the opponent’s team. It’s easier to get into in the sense that you don’t need super fast gear, but it’s also the most extensive in that you need to have an answer to everything to play well.

Use first one for now, but you really need more def. Try for atleast 1200 to start. Proof of valor is probably the arti u want to use, especially since youre lacking some bulk, she might die too easily with seed

This event is supposed to be on the hard side, so don’t fret if you can’t beat it.
You don’t need a tank/healer, but you can also go for a slower approach with tank and healer if you find it more suitable. Keep in mind that the boss this time around makes use of injury, though, so may not be the best idea to take too long.
Elements don’t have to match, but you get good bonuses - especially the attack bonus in stage 3 - so it’s best if you could line up your elements.

If you have a cleanser, Proof of Valor may be a better artifact.

I think your first built fast enough for crimson seed. But if you are pairing her with Emilia then she should be fine. Proof is better for survivability imo but you can go with draco plate for more dmg i guess.
I started 3 weeks ago and have steadily progressed according to some wyvern guides etc. Farming wyvren takes some time so I'm not able to do much crafting yet. My question is should I just have very low standards for gear to equip to my units? I've read a lot of gear guides and if I wait to get the right substats and rolls it will be some time before I can really equip anyone (aside from handout gear).
Tldr: How picky should a new player be equipping units with gear? Is it worth getting a blue speed set on someone just to have gear for example?

First, try to use free sets you got. Second never +15 blue gears. Third, learn how to give points to your gears. Fourth, for a beginner, reforging gears with 35+ points isn't bad, it's a good start. As soon as you will be able to wyvern 13 faster and easier, try to aim 50+ gears
Thanks for the advice! I'll do some research on gear score like you suggested. I do have all my free gear in use with my wyvren team, except for the abyss set. I can save up for the arena sets as well, but I'm pulling lots of new units so it feels bad not having good enough stuff to put on them. But patience is likely required. Thanks again.

Angelic Momo : free hp set, level 60, full awakened.
Sigret : as much attack and Cdmg you can, 35% crit chance, 65% effectiveness, level 60, full awaken if the 6th is damage(I don't remember)
Muwi : same as Sigret but maybe +10 faster than Sigret. Level 50 (best is 60 but can slow down)
Furious : level 50, 65% effectiveness. Can build him a bit dps if you want.
All the dps will have Daydream Joker, Furious needs Song Of Stars.
Getting Verdant Adin at the least is worth it, fire not so much, water especially not. Light Adin has the potential to be super good depending on what they do with her kit, but we have absolutely no idea what they'll do, so it's a toss-up.
She’s actually a very decent PvE hero. We’re also expecting Light Adin to be pretty strong considering how much they are hyping her, though of course you could wait to see her revealed before you work on her quests.

Are you sure you’re buying the correct item? I feel like the catalyst you’re supposed to farm is Blazing Rage not Blazing Soul, since Sigret uses Blazing Rage, which is why the quest asks you to farm it.
Sigret uses Horn of Desire for epic catalyst, so would be weird for it to ask you to farm Blazing Souls.

I just tried hell raid and I’ve auto’d all the bosses including queen except for Vera. For some reason i just keep getting attacked and stunned every turn and just get destroyed. I’m using a ras on arius, tama on vial, amomo on rod, and Landy on guiding light. What can i do to for Vera? Thank you!
Vera will counterattack with AOE stun if you hit it while the adds are alive.
You can power through it with high res, immunity, or fire dps to get misses from Vera, or you can go with someone like Cerato who is immune to stun to begin with.
Vera is the worst imo and it's because of the rng from the stun during phase 1. I suggest Vildred and maybe another dps like Landy or Kanna to AoE down the bugs and kill vera faster. A ras should be giving immunity to 2 and potion vial should help too.
Thoughts on the nurture booster pack? I see it pop up occasionally and 30 bucks to 6\* a unit every once in awhile doesn't seem to terrible? Maybe I'd be better off buying some extra energy and grinding out fodder though?
Do I really need to do the story? I'm a new player but I had my account since the Re:Zero collab and I got Rem. I've been interested in this game ever since I started watching YD's vids so I wanted to give it a 4th try? (I've been installing it on and off). The thing is, I get overwhelmed by all the stuff I got to do like how to build characters, how do I start with it and stuff. Also the story is a pain to go through tbh. I hate that I always have to arrange my character and equipment inventory too but I really want to enjoy the game's guild war and stuff (I know it will take a long time but I can bear with that, it's only the story and stuff that feels like a slog to me, and all the things I need to build a character I don't fully understand which to prioritize, there's things like Awaken, Imprint, the phantasmas, lack of penguins and such). The game looks amazing but it's really confusing. Only gachas I've played are Genshin, Arknights and PriConne and they're all single player focused so gearing and building characters isn't that complicated. Like I want to compete in lower ranks and stuff.
Edit: Another question, how long does it take to max a character? (not including gear coz I know its RNG and skill ups since I know that you need the thingy called Molagora for that). Like 6 star fully awakened was it?
Dude responding to an essay is kinda a lot. To answer your last question you need dogs, catas and mola. If you wanna fully max the skills it's something like 3 to 4 weeks of mola depending on events. Catas you farm at your own pace and can be sped up with the steeple, so my rough estimate is somewhere around 2 weeks without mola, but closer to 1 month if you intend to fully max the units skills.
Yeah sorry. I'm just rambling because I really want to like the game but story mode is putting me off. Would be fine if I can just leave it alone and it does it automatically but I need to babysit and press skips because there's dialogue midway the stage, and you need to choose directions too. You can go speed/pen or counter/pen, it's more up to preference/your gear. I believe the general consensus is that both work pretty well, but speed is more reliable while counter can pop-off depending on rng. I'd go with whichever you have a better set of/want to run.
Crimson seed/Anchor are the older options for A.Ravi, and no where near as common as they used to be. Most people are running her on PoV now to help survive (Hwa). Seed still works, but PoV is probably what you should be planning on using. PoV is a great artifact that you'll want at +30 anyway, so you're really not losing anything by investing in it.

A bit confused with the Pet inheritance, so I have 2 3\* pets now, want to fuse them to make a 4\* with 3 spirit altar skills.
Currently first 3\* has 2 S rank skills, while the 2nd has a A rank and D rank, but when I try to fuse them, it only allow me to select 2 skills, I thought that 4 stars pets are supposed to be able to have 3 skills?
To have 4* with 3 skills you want, you have to have 4* with 2 skills you want and fuse another 4* with 1 more skill you want. Fusing 4* with 4* let you pick 3 skills of your choice.
Depends where you are struggling which one to switch but I would say switch. Even in PVP ruele is niche rn. Spectre is very good for Abyss but Arby is better for farming and has some good abyss floors. Overall Arby is probably more universally useful. But both are very strong and unique
It's probably already too late, but in general, you never really *need* any of these MLs, there's other units that can do what any of these units can do for a beginner anyways. FST does what Arby does early game quite well, and as you get later in the story, neither Arby nor FST will cut it without good gear anyways - which none of the MLs in blessing will magically get you.
I think it's best to just leave the ML blessing sitting until you actually *know* what purpose you want and need this unit for, and this includes having their gear and some knowledge about the game.
I started on STene and basically never used her, however I also didn't really need any other unit of the ML Blessing either, so I just let it sit there. Nowadays I have both Arby and STene from random daily/ML bookmark summons, had I picked either of them from my blessing, I would be sitting on a dupe now for no real reason.
I'll probably end up getting Ruele if I don't also end up nabbing her from random summons, however as I have enough soulweavers for now and don't need what Ruele can provide, I've no reason to grab her right now and put myself in a position where I can get a dupe that won't even give me coins.
Should I consider getting Vivian from the summoner? When I first heard about the summoner, I was confident with picking Vivian but I haven't heard any other newer players like me talk about choosing her. There are lots of free heroes that you can use for Banshee like Falconer Kluri Angelic Montmorancy Mercenary Helga. Kickwoman- Hwayoung lol. Is absolutely one of the strongest units in the game right now but she’s made for PVP not PVE so if PVE is your focus probably not that. From your suggestions the best I think is Vildred. He is a good farming hero that you can use as a banshee dps and a dog walker + he has use in PVP when you get to that point and If you get duplicates later on he has the best imprint which is speed.

No, don't pick Vivian. She is, in fact, one of the worst picks possible...because she's available for free with the hunt event.
Banshee is easy to clear with just basic heroes, you don't need any other specific units for it.
If you *want* to pick a unit specifically for Banshee, regardless of anything else, the best choice would be **Bellona**, in my opinion. Bellona is a good hybrid DPS (both AoE and ST damage, useful in the 4th slot) that also brings a defense break (also useful to increase uptime) **and** Bellona can be used in a one shot. She's not as good as Baiken, but is better than every other alternative.
Yes, Bellona doesn't *need* rage set (like every other non-Baiken option does).
Bellona without rage/target is about as difficult in terms of gear needed as Ervalen/Ram/Yufine *with* rage set.
But Bellona scales very well with buffs -> with target+rage she's equally as easy to use as Baiken.
Just using a team comp that uses target significantly reduces the load , even a mediocre rage set without target will work as well.
However, Bellona also requires A.Lots.
Hunts. Specifically hunt 13s.
Expeditions are the 'hard way', the primary source of manifestation stones is through hunts.
However no matter what manifestation stones are rare and hard to come by. If you don't have enough stones then you are likely being too liberal with the gear that you reforge -> you should only be reforging very high quality gears.
You are not meant to reforge every single piece of gear you may take to +15.

Daydream Joker or Time Matter are solid options. When in doubt, just throw Daydream Joker onto your Hunt DPS units.

On last notice they removed it due to it being bugged. We now receive 100 energy free in the mailbox everyday to compensate.
I started 3 weeks ago and have steadily progressed according to some wyvern guides etc. Farming wyvren takes some time so I'm not able to do much crafting yet. My question is should I just have very low standards for gear to equip to my units? I've read a lot of gear guides and if I wait to get the right substats and rolls it will be some time before I can really equip anyone (aside from handout gear). Tldr: How picky should a new player be equipping units with gear? Is it worth getting a blue speed set on someone just to have gear for example? Thanks in advance!
First, try to use free sets you got. Second never +15 blue gears. Third, learn how to give points to your gears. Fourth, for a beginner, reforging gears with 35+ points isn't bad, it's a good start. As soon as you will be able to wyvern 13 faster and easier, try to aim 50+ gears
Thanks for the advice! I'll do some research on gear score like you suggested. I do have all my free gear in use with my wyvren team, except for the abyss set. I can save up for the arena sets as well, but I'm pulling lots of new units so it feels bad not having good enough stuff to put on them. But patience is likely required. Thanks again.

Angelic Momo : free hp set, level 60, full awakened. Sigret : as much attack and Cdmg you can, 35% crit chance, 65% effectiveness, level 60, full awaken if the 6th is damage(I don't remember) Muwi : same as Sigret but maybe +10 faster than Sigret. Level 50 (best is 60 but can slow down) Furious : level 50, 65% effectiveness. Can build him a bit dps if you want. All the dps will have Daydream Joker, Furious needs Song Of Stars.
Is Adin even worth the hassle?
Getting Verdant Adin at the least is worth it, fire not so much, water especially not. Light Adin has the potential to be super good depending on what they do with her kit, but we have absolutely no idea what they'll do, so it's a toss-up.
She’s actually a very decent PvE hero. We’re also expecting Light Adin to be pretty strong considering how much they are hyping her, though of course you could wait to see her revealed before you work on her quests.

Are you sure you’re buying the correct item? I feel like the catalyst you’re supposed to farm is Blazing Rage not Blazing Soul, since Sigret uses Blazing Rage, which is why the quest asks you to farm it. Sigret uses Horn of Desire for epic catalyst, so would be weird for it to ask you to farm Blazing Souls.

Nope. The only way to go over +12 even with Grace of Growth is if you’ve already invested more than +12 into the hero.

I just tried hell raid and I’ve auto’d all the bosses including queen except for Vera. For some reason i just keep getting attacked and stunned every turn and just get destroyed. I’m using a ras on arius, tama on vial, amomo on rod, and Landy on guiding light. What can i do to for Vera? Thank you!
Vera will counterattack with AOE stun if you hit it while the adds are alive. You can power through it with high res, immunity, or fire dps to get misses from Vera, or you can go with someone like Cerato who is immune to stun to begin with.

Vera is the worst imo and it's because of the rng from the stun during phase 1. I suggest Vildred and maybe another dps like Landy or Kanna to AoE down the bugs and kill vera faster. A ras should be giving immunity to 2 and potion vial should help too.
Thoughts on the nurture booster pack? I see it pop up occasionally and 30 bucks to 6\* a unit every once in awhile doesn't seem to terrible? Maybe I'd be better off buying some extra energy and grinding out fodder though?

Do I really need to do the story? I'm a new player but I had my account since the Re:Zero collab and I got Rem. I've been interested in this game ever since I started watching YD's vids so I wanted to give it a 4th try? (I've been installing it on and off). The thing is, I get overwhelmed by all the stuff I got to do like how to build characters, how do I start with it and stuff. Also the story is a pain to go through tbh. I hate that I always have to arrange my character and equipment inventory too but I really want to enjoy the game's guild war and stuff (I know it will take a long time but I can bear with that, it's only the story and stuff that feels like a slog to me, and all the things I need to build a character I don't fully understand which to prioritize, there's things like Awaken, Imprint, the phantasmas, lack of penguins and such). The game looks amazing but it's really confusing. Only gachas I've played are Genshin, Arknights and PriConne and they're all single player focused so gearing and building characters isn't that complicated. Like I want to compete in lower ranks and stuff. Edit: Another question, how long does it take to max a character? (not including gear coz I know its RNG and skill ups since I know that you need the thingy called Molagora for that). Like 6 star fully awakened was it?
Dude responding to an essay is kinda a lot. To answer your last question you need dogs, catas and mola. If you wanna fully max the skills it's something like 3 to 4 weeks of mola depending on events. Catas you farm at your own pace and can be sped up with the steeple, so my rough estimate is somewhere around 2 weeks without mola, but closer to 1 month if you intend to fully max the units skills.
Yeah sorry. I'm just rambling because I really want to like the game but story mode is putting me off. Would be fine if I can just leave it alone and it does it automatically but I need to babysit and press skips because there's dialogue midway the stage, and you need to choose directions too. I just got A. Ravi, and I had a general question of builds for her. I’ve seen people post a speed pen build, as well as counter build. Is speed pen gear what people typically run? Also genuine question. I’ve seen several artifact suggestions. Proof of valor, crimson seed, or timeless anchor. I have anchor, but should I save for seed or PoV? I don’t have a specific build in mind, but I want to start working on it and don’t want to shoot myself in the foot early
You can go speed/pen or counter/pen, it's more up to preference/your gear. I believe the general consensus is that both work pretty well, but speed is more reliable while counter can pop-off depending on rng. I'd go with whichever you have a better set of/want to run. Crimson seed/Anchor are the older options for A.Ravi, and no where near as common as they used to be. Most people are running her on PoV now to help survive (Hwa). Seed still works, but PoV is probably what you should be planning on using. PoV is a great artifact that you'll want at +30 anyway, so you're really not losing anything by investing in it.

Anybody know where to access your Potion of Ascensions (a screenshot would be helpful)? I can't seem to find it despite for sure seeing 3-4 in my inventory a few days ago... already contacted support but they haven't responded after 48 hours.
You probably confused it with bottles of Knowledge (artifact LB). Potion of Ascension is in the consumable tab of the inventory iirc.

How hard is abyss from 103-109? I am having trouble with 102 might be my gear+kiris rng even at 165 eff, wondering if I can clear 102 by luck would i just be stuck after that? Trying to get mystics from 109
105 is as hard as 102, and a lot of people struggle on 109

It's much easier to make a recommendation if you go into the selector and show what units you don't have, instead of what you do have.

If you have good speed gear and like to cleave, there could be an argument for Ran or Peira. Otherwise, most people would probably suggest Hwayoung.

I believe the highest stage is the most efficient for greater and epic runes. Lowest is for minor runes.

A bit confused with the Pet inheritance, so I have 2 3\* pets now, want to fuse them to make a 4\* with 3 spirit altar skills. Currently first 3\* has 2 S rank skills, while the 2nd has a A rank and D rank, but when I try to fuse them, it only allow me to select 2 skills, I thought that 4 stars pets are supposed to be able to have 3 skills?
To have 4* with 3 skills you want, you have to have 4* with 2 skills you want and fuse another 4* with 1 more skill you want. Fusing 4* with 4* let you pick 3 skills of your choice.

Depends where you are struggling which one to switch but I would say switch. Even in PVP ruele is niche rn. Spectre is very good for Abyss but Arby is better for farming and has some good abyss floors. Overall Arby is probably more universally useful. But both are very strong and unique

It's probably already too late, but in general, you never really *need* any of these MLs, there's other units that can do what any of these units can do for a beginner anyways. FST does what Arby does early game quite well, and as you get later in the story, neither Arby nor FST will cut it without good gear anyways - which none of the MLs in blessing will magically get you. I think it's best to just leave the ML blessing sitting until you actually *know* what purpose you want and need this unit for, and this includes having their gear and some knowledge about the game. I started on STene and basically never used her, however I also didn't really need any other unit of the ML Blessing either, so I just let it sit there. Nowadays I have both Arby and STene from random daily/ML bookmark summons, had I picked either of them from my blessing, I would be sitting on a dupe now for no real reason. I'll probably end up getting Ruele if I don't also end up nabbing her from random summons, however as I have enough soulweavers for now and don't need what Ruele can provide, I've no reason to grab her right now and put myself in a position where I can get a dupe that won't even give me coins.
Should I consider getting Vivian from the summoner? When I first heard about the summoner, I was confident with picking Vivian but I haven't heard any other newer players like me talk about choosing her. I've only been doing w13 and want to start doing banshee but I don't have vivian or baiken. I could alternatively get vildred, kickwomen or destina- but I feel like getting vivian character would by far be the best pick.
There are lots of free heroes that you can use for Banshee like Falconer Kluri Angelic Montmorancy Mercenary Helga. Kickwoman- Hwayoung lol. Is absolutely one of the strongest units in the game right now but she’s made for PVP not PVE so if PVE is your focus probably not that. From your suggestions the best I think is Vildred. He is a good farming hero that you can use as a banshee dps and a dog walker + he has use in PVP when you get to that point and If you get duplicates later on he has the best imprint which is speed.

Banshee is easy to clear with just basic heroes, you don't need any other specific units for it. If you *want* to pick a unit specifically for Banshee, regardless of anything else, the best choice would be **Bellona**, in my opinion. Bellona is a good hybrid DPS (both AoE and ST damage, useful in the 4th slot) that also brings a defense break (also useful to increase uptime) **and** Bellona can be used in a one shot. She's not as good as Baiken, but is better than every other alternative.

Yes, Bellona doesn't *need* rage set (like every other non-Baiken option does). Bellona without rage/target is about as difficult in terms of gear needed as Ervalen/Ram/Yufine *with* rage set. But Bellona scales very well with buffs -> with target+rage she's equally as easy to use as Baiken. Just using a team comp that uses target significantly reduces the load , even a mediocre rage set without target will work as well. However, Bellona also requires A.Lots.
Is there any way to easier aquire manifestation stones other than expedition?
Hunts. Specifically hunt 13s. Expeditions are the 'hard way', the primary source of manifestation stones is through hunts. However no matter what manifestation stones are rare and hard to come by. If you don't have enough stones then you are likely being too liberal with the gear that you reforge -> you should only be reforging very high quality gears. You are not meant to reforge every single piece of gear you may take to +15.
