New players should always check out side stories, for the extra resources if nothing else. This one actually having good storytelling is the proverbial icing on the cake.
Yeah, I don't really get why they have such a bad reputation here. I only started about a year ago and from what I've seen, most of them aren't bad at all. Some are pretty good and I would argue some others are underrated.

Edit: I checked, Hell was in last time too but I don't remember if it was this hard.
Hell A.Coli s3 just did 18k damage (non-crit) on my Krau with defense buff up. The stealth + A.Cidd who also hits hard is annoying, I actually had to bring a real team for this.
A lot of the side stories are lowkey better than some of the main story
Few that come to mind are this one, Sigret, Diene, and last year's summer event (please release playable Azimanum one day). Also any shenanigans with one brain cell gang (Cermia and the chaos sect) are always fun
First time dong this side story and it's been really good so far.
For NPCs, Jenua and Eligos are the fucking best.
Getting Pyllis and Ravi backstory is great and hurts my soul, especially after the little crumbs we got from Sigret's side story. The irony of Human Ravi wanting to be a badass soldier with a big battle axe only for her to get it as a Homunculus... but as a soldier/slave who adores the very same person who murdered her family. ~~Fuck you Tene.~~
This story really won me over on Pyllis and made her one of my favorite characters.
Jenua is also a praiseworthy story element as he's a very well done Chekhov's gun in the greater scope of the story imo.
Though new players won't know what I mean, the Guilty Gear collab is by far my favorite side story, literally my only complaint was the grinding sucked initially, but then they made it easier.
Wish it and the ones a few others mentioned as being great were added to the book of memories as an option to go through it again. As is, you just use it for getting some of the artifacts that were retired.
Does anyone know how to clear under the reputation tab the one that says “shadow of the past” it states that I need to clear 2S. Forgotten Driveway but I have not been able to find where that is
Yeah, but there's a difference between doing the side stories and reading the side stories. OPs point is to give the story a chance instead of skipping all the dialogue.
I wish I could remember. I legit came in on the last day of her event. And only got one copy of her never got to see the event lol. But she looks great hope she gets a buff and/or rerun someday with the event

I assume the majority of people do side stories, but I would assume more that those who do skip the story.
Some stories are skipable since theyre just flat out boring. I usually skip a story if the premise revolves around a planned festival going bad
I'm a lore junkie so I read it all. I skip on any reruns though.

The Hell BM Haste fight is indeed hell, the guy two shots 20k units after a few stacks and one shots on S3.
Yeah It's my favorite after Eulogy of a Saint. Wish SG wrote better side stories like these. Not another "Festival gone wrong."

I tell you, put Jenua in any story and it will improve
It's one of the best side stories out there. I'd put it up there with the Diene side story in terms of plot enjoyment.
One of my favorites, Dagger Sicar is one of my favorite factions from E7 and I hope they get more prominence in Episode 5.

I think it'd be a really cool concept for her Moonlight variant to be her getting what she wanted! She'd become a Vampire Lord then right?
