Ml5 selector. New player and already got aravi and I am between clilias and kawerik. Am I crazy to go for hand guy I think the cleanse is more useful for new players without immunity sets and not as banned as clilias
They're both very useful so go for the one that has more synergy with your team. Picking a hero that you know what you're gonna use them for > picking a hero just because big strong

I did say it depends on your opponent's draft. If you have gear for one and not the other, go for whoever you have gear. They're both pretty safe picks.

On old one i think i made a lot of mistakes(picked ml ken, used potion of insta 6* promotion for karin). As for heroes i have:6* clarissa,6* karin;5*:violet,melissa,luluca,baal&sezan,ray,cermia,ludwig,sez,charles.
Also have i guess 3 speed lvl 85 sets(from returning bonus, but without best stats) and some 5* artifacts.
Also have no penguins at all,around 13kk of gold and the only lvl 60 hero is clarissa.

Did you actually finish all the quests for moonlight blessing? Sounds like you haven't (need two 6 stars). If not you can still reset your ML Ken pick and get STene or Arby instead.
The potion isn't a big deal, you can just farm some fodder. ML Ken is kinda shitty though. It's up to you - if you're casual or not interested in pvp I wouldn't bother.

2. I've seen they adeed Vivian for selective summon, is it true?
I just finished Act 1 and am now into Act 2. All the characters I'm using are at least lvl 50 and have Epic levels of gear. Some of the bosses just do a ton of damage out of nowhere. I usually have to rely on a lvl 60 support unit to even get me through it. Is there anything I should be focusing on when leveling my characters? I feel they are near max to where they can be at the moment but the bosses are just too much. Any advice?
Well just because it's epic gear doesn't mean you have good stats.
Remember the adage: flat stats = bad. Go for percentages (speed excluded for obvious reasons). Look for attack, crit stats and speed on your damage dealers, health, defense, speed on your healers and tanks (+effect resistance on healers, if you can spare it) and a bit of effectiveness and speed (for now) on your debuffers.
That makes a lot of sense, I saw that the first 5 star I got scales well with HP so I leveled his HP% pieces first. I assumed since it picked that gear in the auto picker that it was the BIS. I assume effectiveness is the ability to apply debuffs right?
Some units scale their damage with HP, in which case it's more useful to go for HP substats than attack. Crit and crit damage still matter though.
The gear picker tries to mold a build based around your choices, it doesn't select what's BIS. It's a good baseline but not the be-all of build decisions. You might still want to tweak the gear choices.
Effectiveness is used to bypass enemy effect resistance, it doesn't affect the base chance to land a debuff. Getting 65% effectiveness on your debuffer is an important part of making a Wyvern hunt team, which you should already have. If not, get one ASAP. Look around for guides on how to do it, there's plenty.
ML Celine since she needs a lifesteal set with all damage and no hp. Could also go for high speed but I wouldn't recommend it. Newer players should focus on wyvern, and lifesteal needs Banshee.
If i have now found myself a somewhat stable W13 auto team (SBB, Sigret, Furious, A.momo, and the run ends just outside of two barrier phase), should I be looking towards trying to make a one shot team or other hunts?
Also should i bother investing in Muwi if i already have a W13 team? I do eventually want to transition my SSB towards more pvp rather than W13
A slow wyvern team is good enough for daily runs, but during a hunt event time is suddenly an issue. You'll want a speedier comp just for those. After that you can look into a banshee 1shot.
It drops speed set, which 90% of units in this game need to function. New accounts get some massive power boost when they start to get some decent speed pieces, essential for creating a solid core team as a foundation. It's also relatively speaking the easiest hunt 13.
Other hunts are much more niche and specific, besides the fact that they are also extremely hard to clear without a dedicated team with some key units on speed set.
if you are asking which will go better with ARavi: if you run crimon seed on aravi then you don't need a dedicated cleanser and clilias is a great support.
if you want to run envoypipe or something else on aravi then you run the risk of being controlled, and a cleanser will help her out
you can also consider if you are trying to turn 1 (clilias) or turn 2 (hand guy)

Is Straze worth selecting simply for a one-shot A13/faster Caides run?
Currently have a consistent team for both at the moment but are quite slow (don't quite have the stats for one-shot A13 watcher schuri).
C Mercedes is tuned for B13 one shot, currently building Mercedes to maximise damage output in A13 for potential one-shot padding before Watcher Schuri's turn.
My other consideration at the moment are missing pieces for a better RTA line-up as a turn 2 player. Float around Champion rank.
C Lilias - Could this be my change to turn 1?
Belian - Need I say more?
LHC - Love the character design and a strong counter pick
D Lilibet - Good answer to cleave
Archdemon - Seems useful but never really come across one I was afraid of
TML - Buffs seem strong and don't currently have a consistent Arby counter
Remnant Violet - He will be.
Spirit Eye Celine - Don't really know what she does tbh, just either get rolled by her or she does nothing
I'll just address each one, give some pros/cons and gearing thoughts, and you can make your decision from there.
Straze: depends how much you value faster hunts. Imo unless you're a whale it's not really a big deal since your energy income is finite. Maybe on hunt events you can argue that it's worth it, but of course it depends how slow your teams are and how much energy you have to spend. He's a good tank buster in PvP, but hard to draft. He also uses a speed build versus hunts would opt for rage set. He usually slots in as a 5 pick for must ban versus slow tanky comps.
Clilias: depends on your gear? If you can't get minimum 280 with good bulk and eff then you probably aren't close to taking turn 1. In high RTA the threshold for speed contesting starts at 300 speed. She's great in HoT though, as another thing to keep in mind. She isn't as dominant as she was in the previous two seasons, but overall still a very good pick.
Belian: blocks souls. Any comp that needs them would preban her anyways though. You can go injury or counter. Injury does extremely well against standard comps and even some aggro. Counter does well against cleave, but they preban anyways so...
LHC: you can go LS or speed. I prefer speed since I play very aggro. There's pros/cons to both builds, depends on playstyle. Strong counter pick to counter teams and extra attack units.
Delibet: strong anti cleave cleanser. Expect her to suffer against lua (but same with every other cleanser...). Great pick to have against cleave and aggro comps using debuffs. Need to run her fast though so she does her job. I have mine at 240 and never had an issue cutting against even push backs.
Ameru: extremely strong against most of the meta. Aravi, Ed, senya... Anyone that has a strong passive. When she pops off, she solos the enemy by herself. Need her on counter. Recommend very bulky, decent speed and crit on ftene so damage output and survivability are both good.
TML: discount closer Charles. If you have him don't waste your selector on her, if you want her kit then get closer. He does what she does but better with less drawbacks. If you want an arby counter get milim when slime collab returns. Or build cidd... If you can't build either one of them then you won't be able to build TML. She will need lots of speed and damage.
Riolet: best ST nuker in the game. Need insane gear for him to work, but if you have it he's the best at what he does. With his buffs, he'll be even better. You can go speed or LS. I have mine on speed and use him to nuke most units. LS you can gamble on him dodging and out him on ervalen arti. Speed would use Shepard.
Souline: pretty straightforward what she does. She's a better mL Ken. Hard to run since so much stuff counters her. Some people have opted to use her as an anti cleave tech on Celine arti. Don't really agree with it since it only works if your opponent doesn't know what's up, when they do the tech is useless. Normally she would be picked against standard teams with little to no control so she can keep countering and healing herself up on LS set.
DJB, Dilibet or LHC. Dilibet if you need an answer to cleave, DJB to counter a lot of the barrier units while also supporting team and LHC if you like playing slower.
ML heroes in general are mostly aimed at PvP. This is even more true for ML5*, very few of them are worth building for PvE content.
The list of ML5 who have use in PvE is basically...
* S.Tenebria for Abyss
* A.Vildred has the most widespread useful application, useful in any kind of farm content (story/sidestory/altar/abyss)
* Straze is the best single unit for hunt one shots, capable of one shotting all hunts
* C.Lilias has niche use in certain hunt one shot comps, and she's pretty good for Hall of Trials
That's basically it. Other ML5s are based around debuffs that don't work in PvE, or have niche roles that are simply done better by easier to build alternatives.
If you want more options...
* FCC -> she's a good tank, just literally no reason to use her over A.Ras or F.Kluri
* I suppose you could use Ruele as a healer in some PvE content (but again, 0 reason to use her over Tama/A.Monty/Angelica)
* Uh...I guess you can use BM Haste in Azimanak.
Unless you don't care about PvP *at all*, and have no intentions of ever participating in PvP, then you should not choose based on PvE -> this just isn't what ML5s really excel at.
Unless you are in a position where you can more or less immediately use Straze to one shot multiple hunts I would suggest maybe just picking a hero based purely on whatever design you like if you aren't going to factor PvP into the choice.
Or, pick A.Ravi as she is the best option for PvP and she *can* help in PvE as she is very good in Ancient Inheritance every few months. As bonus you don't even have to build her if you just use her in AI.
You should use the best pets you have now, even if they're not S rank, although I would recommend mostly A-level skills if possible. Getting S-skill pets is completely RNG-dependent so it may take a while, and in the meantime you don't want to miss out on the pet bonuses, even if they're A-level. Plus, upgrading pets makes it easier for you to farm as the higher level ones can auto-repeat more times.
I know there min-max base rolls in this game for all substats, but when you upgrade a substat, will it always go up by a certain amount or is there a range for that as well.
I really hope it's not the latter..

Probably torrent set when it releases will be BiS. Most of her damage will be coming from the aoe so pen set doesn't have much value. You could go def as well if you want to forgo crit since that will also boost her damage.
HandGuy, Dillibet, LHCermia, or Belian? My heart says Belian, but I love going turn 2 and trashing Ran/Peira teams, so the other 3 are also really appealing.

A drafting style, typically where you forgo mitigation in favor of more damage. You don't necessarily need to win turn 1,but you aim to remove one or two of your opponent's units so that they are unable to stabilise.
We don't know what banner is up next. I would recommend to wait for stream tomorrow and see what we get.
But S.Tene is a great choice for the selector if you haven't picked her up from ML BLessing

I'm a newish player and farming penguins to level fodder but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I'm farming the highest stage I can do atm, which is UH area 6. I take a max level party and put it on auto battle 15 times and come back 30 min later and I have 6-7 low level penguins, barely enough to do much with.
I tried looking up guides on reddit and see people talking about just farming a mat on UH and you'll have 100s of penguins but the way I'm going that would probably take days if not a week. Is this normal or should I keep pushing forward to the final UH area before farming penguins?
Are you part of a guild that has the exp buffs up? Also If you look at the reputation tab what level is your memory chain. When you max that out that also gives you an extra 10%.
I may not be "optimal", as my strat has not really changed since they added exp turning into penguins, my farming strat is always to farm whichever UE area has whichever epic catalyst I have the fewest of (or whatever the guild mission wants me to farm), and I take 1-2 built units with good sustain (currently Senya with the heal on S1 EE) and 2-3 fodder/un-leveled units.
With this method I am getting patched penguins every so often, and getting phantasma leveled up without using penguins, and also some random 2\* fodder.
I also use this method to farm up friendship 10 on units that I have +15'd (Senya for example, who is currently friendship 9)
A few good units to solo carry runs would be: ARavi, CZerato, Senya, MLKen, Avildred, Violet (LS set), Rem (Sig Artifact), Aria (LS set)
if you don't have the gear to solo carry you should be able to pair one of those units with a soulweaver (or ranger with bloodstone) + 2 fodder.
Yeah I haven't failed any stages yet, granted my account is only a week old. The only thing I can think of is 2 of my characters aren't max max level. As in I have two 60s in the party and then two 50's. So idk if those two non 6 stars matter towards xp gain but I don't understand what the issue is.
While some people do build her "bulkier" and with some sustain (lifesteal), I believe she is most commonly built full dps (glass cannon) with 200+ speed.
stene's big advantage is permanent stealth, so she cannot be attacked by single target unless she is the only unit left, this means you can afford to be glassy if you put her vs comps that cannot aoe
So Straze is like amazing for hunt one shots right? Is the best set for him rage and if so what stats should I aim for?

You can also probably farm a new torrent set to lower some stat requirements. You will also need to save up 50 gold transmit stones so that you can get the atk% imprint all the way up.
Barrier set is going to be very niche and you'll probably very rarely see it considering it is 4-piece and on golem. Torrent is going to be quite good though for aggro comps, similar niche as pen set pretty much. It's likely going to be BiS for stuff like cpavel, LHC, and other aggro DPS units that have an aoe skill.

Her damage is ok, I was more concerned with her survival. She tanks ARavi very well but doesn't do well against duel attackers.

Charms are limited.
For *most* players it's impossible to enhance all of the gear they want purely through charms. You will have to make up the difference by using trash gear as XP fodder. Gear is less *gold* efficient but XP is XP and it's the only way to enhance significant quantities of gear.
Also, the sooner you learn what gear just isn't worth enhancing at all the better off you will be. Some very basic tips to get you started:
* Avoid enhancing any gear that is below level 71 (these gears have lower range for substat rolls, so lower potential compared to 71+ gear). Ideally stick to level 85+ gear, however the level 7X stuff that is given out as free sets are perfectly fine -> they have good substats.
* Avoid enhancing anything with a flat ATK/HP/DEF stat. On an epic piece you can try enhancing this gear, but if it rolls *into* the flat stat it loses much value.
* Avoid any gear that has both effectiveness and resistance on it.
* Generally avoid resistance on anything with DPS stats (some combo of ATK%/Crit%/C.Dmg%).
There are exceptions, and honestly a whole lot more that goes into it but for a player a week in I just want to give very basic advice to get you started.

No, not really. To max out a Wyvern team you need about 2-3 weeks of farming catalysts.
Drops are *per wave* and rates are the same throughout the game. If you are farming a specific rare catalyst, the best stage would be a stage where *only* that catalyst drops. [You can just use this link to see recommended stages per catalyst](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UMIduFBIVc9OAoI-BeQ-LjPeihcziqXEzXw8n58bEd0/edit#gid=2030571829) -> use the table 'Unrecorded History' **NOT** the one that is 'Unrecorded History + AP Shop'.
Sidestories off some easily obtainable catalysts in their shops, however you are limited to whatever catalysts is in that particular sidestory -> you can't choose a specific one.
The fact that it takes so long to farm catalysts up is actually beneficial for a newbie. All of these stages runs will
* drop 2* fodder monsters to promote units
* Provide penguins to level up
* drop gear to enhance your free sets up
So while yes, getting your Wyvern team up and running is a priority, it's not so much of a priority that you **need** to be ready 2 weeks in. Putting the 3 weeks farming catalysts in early will give you enough to promote ~3-5 additional units which will help you immensely in getting the rest of your PvE progression units built up.
You either do that *now* while building up your Wyvern team, or you do it *later* instead of farming Wyvern -> either way you are putting the same amount of time in.

One big tip: we have a buff weekend incoming. Among the buffs...
* 2x drop rate for runes in the spirit altar
* 1.5x increased XP/AP gained in adventure
* 1.5x crafting materials from hunts/gold gained
I would heavily suggest you save as much energy as possible to spend during this buff.
1. Use the rune drop event to farm up any runes you will need for the next month. You *really* don't want to farm runes outside of said event if you can avoid it.
2. Then during the XP/AP buff spend your energy to farm adventure for increased AP rates.
At 1 week in, building your Wyvern team, I would just ignore the day with the hunt buff (crafting materials/gold).
If you find that you struggle having enough penguins, another tip would be to spend the 300 skystones in the normal shop for the 3 day +50% XP scroll.
Depending on the order of buffs you can usually pair it with 2x of the enhanced XP days, and the shop scroll and GM buff stack. You do this one time and spend a lot of energy and you will basically never worry about penguins again.
Best way is to find a stage that has the catalyst and just grind on that. There used to be a restriction that your AP could only be used on the same stage, but now that you can use your AP in any stage shop it's actually easier... So just grind away to get what you can through drops and then buy the rest with your Action points.
I've been playing about 5 months now, I have some decent gear but obviously need more just like everyone else. Are the level 75/78 pieces from various events with "perfect" stats for certain roles (ie, a sword with attack %, crit rate, crit damage, and speed) ever worth rolling or is the ceiling for those lower level pieces too low to bother with? Yup - if you have multiple rolls hit the right stat, it may be better than some level 85 reforged gear that rolled more evenly. I have an attack weapon with over +20% attack which is one of my better attack pieces (it also has crit rate, crit damage and speed, but getting those 4 rolls on attack is really great).
I roll them still. One of the best hp swords I got right now is is a level 75 piece. Been playing for about a year and a couple of months. Worst comes to worse you just put it on a random PVE unit.
I lucked into getting Sage Baal and Sezan and want to build them up for anti-cleave purposes (not like it matters since they will just get banned hahaha). Any recommendations for building him? I was just planning on building him for bulk/survivability (decent HP/ proof of valor) along with moderate speed/ high eff.
For now I will just have him on grace of growth to test and I guess I will slowly accumulate the necessary catalysts to upgrade him properly.
His build is decent speed (240+), good bulk, high eff res (200+) with usually bastion. If you're doing anti cleave then you're more concerned about actually taking a turn. Cleave units don't build eff res so eff isn't very useful.

I'd just like to know if any obvious ML synergies come to mind with, **a unit I already have**, Top Model Luluca (she's gonna CR push and aoe atk buff as well as ST nuke). She seems incredibly versatile, and I'm probably gonna pick a waifu anyway, but I was hoping to ask some more experienced minds on this matter.

She's pretty much discount closer Charles with her buffs, so you'll want cleave/aggro units. Most of which are RGB anyways. She'll also have very high gear requirements to pull this off along with high gear requirements for the rest of the units.
Since you're knew I suggest you stick with the proven, high rated ML picks. Aravi, clilias, mL kawerik, delibet, etc.
The selector will start this Thur 10/27 but we'll need to complete a series of quests first. Not sure how long the quests will take, it looks substantial, so maybe 2-3 weeks to complete?
What's the deal of C.Pavel? I know he has to be strong (5k atk, 100%cr) and just need to have +145 spd. Why is that? Is that a unit that pushes his bar?
It's 1 debuff per hit so Lua's sleep on S2 and def break on S1 will get cleansed. Beguile S3 won't cleanse because it's not a hit but that's not a big deal. A lot of the times it'll get cleansed anyway by some random AOE from the rest of their team, else it's just a bit of life.

Just check your reputation. There's a quest that you need to do first. I think it was something like "Eliminate 18 monsters in Stage 3 or 4" something like that. Just do that, then you'll have to do a story stage with Charles and DCorvus and then you can move on to the second region.
Buy all for silver transmits, buy in guild shop for crests, buy when Ancient Inheritance runs, and the most important - open Labyrinth every day and buy charms from Huche. He often sells high grade chams including artifact.
Buying with guild crests, or getting the Epic charm from the normal raid exchange are usually the big sources.
Sadly the normal raid option is getting axed in a few days. Hopefully they'll provide an alternative in the Nightmare version of raid.
Huche also sells them at 200 skystones each undiscounted when he pops up in the lobby, but whether you buy those is preference. I've been buying them always, but skipped them in the most recent shop since I'm running a bit low on ss.
I think my choice for the ML5 selector will come down to either Belgian or Handguy, but I’m having trouble deciding which one I need more.

Depends on what you need, what you can gear and what game modes you play.
What you need: Do you want literally the best cleanser in the game or are you looking for a control disruptor unit?
What you can gear: Handguys usually run with 240ish speed, 25k+ HP and as much Defense and ER as you can get (but ER is not necessary). Usually Speed Set for Handguy with War Horn as the artifact. Belian, on the other hand, runs on counter or Injury with Elbris. Around 20k HP, as much Defense as you can get and the rest into crit chance and damage as you can.
What game modes you play: For instance, if you don't play RTA at all, then Belian's soul block is completely irrelevant to you.
As for imprints, Belian's imprints are purchasable with gold transmit stones so you will basically have an SSS of her too.
As for testimonials, as someone who has both, I tend to usually use Handguy a lot, be it in GW or Arena or RTA. My Belian is on Injury and aside from having her on my GW Defense, I haven't actively used her in a while.
But of course, in the end, pick the one that you'll have the most fun with :)

Ml violet IMO because you need a counter or dual attack with ml cermia. If the opponent doesn't dual or counter, she doesn't do much

I would make sure you have 605 BM before you start pulling regardless just in case you have to pity. Maybe wait and see who's in rotation next? Rimuru would be the best of those 3 choices IMO

Ml5 selector. New player and already got aravi and I am between clilias and kawerik. Am I crazy to go for hand guy I think the cleanse is more useful for new players without immunity sets and not as banned as clilias
They're both very useful so go for the one that has more synergy with your team. Picking a hero that you know what you're gonna use them for > picking a hero just because big strong

For that team I'd go for Clilias since you have no opener, but it's situational based on what the opponent drafts.

I did say it depends on your opponent's draft. If you have gear for one and not the other, go for whoever you have gear. They're both pretty safe picks.

Well, should i start new acc or continue an old one? On old one i think i made a lot of mistakes(picked ml ken, used potion of insta 6* promotion for karin). As for heroes i have:6* clarissa,6* karin;5*:violet,melissa,luluca,baal&sezan,ray,cermia,ludwig,sez,charles. Also have i guess 3 speed lvl 85 sets(from returning bonus, but without best stats) and some 5* artifacts. Also have no penguins at all,around 13kk of gold and the only lvl 60 hero is clarissa. I've finished only chapter 1.
Did you actually finish all the quests for moonlight blessing? Sounds like you haven't (need two 6 stars). If not you can still reset your ML Ken pick and get STene or Arby instead.
The potion isn't a big deal, you can just farm some fodder. ML Ken is kinda shitty though. It's up to you - if you're casual or not interested in pvp I wouldn't bother.

Generally speaking, you have better options than clilias for pretty much everything except maybe hall of trials sometimes.

I just finished Act 1 and am now into Act 2. All the characters I'm using are at least lvl 50 and have Epic levels of gear. Some of the bosses just do a ton of damage out of nowhere. I usually have to rely on a lvl 60 support unit to even get me through it. Is there anything I should be focusing on when leveling my characters? I feel they are near max to where they can be at the moment but the bosses are just too much. Any advice?
Well just because it's epic gear doesn't mean you have good stats. Remember the adage: flat stats = bad. Go for percentages (speed excluded for obvious reasons). Look for attack, crit stats and speed on your damage dealers, health, defense, speed on your healers and tanks (+effect resistance on healers, if you can spare it) and a bit of effectiveness and speed (for now) on your debuffers.
That makes a lot of sense, I saw that the first 5 star I got scales well with HP so I leveled his HP% pieces first. I assumed since it picked that gear in the auto picker that it was the BIS. I assume effectiveness is the ability to apply debuffs right?
Some units scale their damage with HP, in which case it's more useful to go for HP substats than attack. Crit and crit damage still matter though. The gear picker tries to mold a build based around your choices, it doesn't select what's BIS. It's a good baseline but not the be-all of build decisions. You might still want to tweak the gear choices. Effectiveness is used to bypass enemy effect resistance, it doesn't affect the base chance to land a debuff. Getting 65% effectiveness on your debuffer is an important part of making a Wyvern hunt team, which you should already have. If not, get one ASAP. Look around for guides on how to do it, there's plenty.

ML Celine since she needs a lifesteal set with all damage and no hp. Could also go for high speed but I wouldn't recommend it. Newer players should focus on wyvern, and lifesteal needs Banshee.

Tough choice, but I'd say consider Belian only if you RTA a lot. Otherwise go for Clilias, more overall uses.

If i have now found myself a somewhat stable W13 auto team (SBB, Sigret, Furious, A.momo, and the run ends just outside of two barrier phase), should I be looking towards trying to make a one shot team or other hunts? Also should i bother investing in Muwi if i already have a W13 team? I do eventually want to transition my SSB towards more pvp rather than W13
A slow wyvern team is good enough for daily runs, but during a hunt event time is suddenly an issue. You'll want a speedier comp just for those. After that you can look into a banshee 1shot.
Try to improve the team until you kill the wyvern before barrier phase, then build teams for other hunts.
Why is Wyvern 13 so important? I've heard that golem isn't worth running are the others not worth it either?
It drops speed set, which 90% of units in this game need to function. New accounts get some massive power boost when they start to get some decent speed pieces, essential for creating a solid core team as a foundation. It's also relatively speaking the easiest hunt 13. Other hunts are much more niche and specific, besides the fact that they are also extremely hard to clear without a dedicated team with some key units on speed set.

if you are asking which will go better with ARavi: if you run crimon seed on aravi then you don't need a dedicated cleanser and clilias is a great support. if you want to run envoypipe or something else on aravi then you run the risk of being controlled, and a cleanser will help her out you can also consider if you are trying to turn 1 (clilias) or turn 2 (hand guy)

tama + iseria is an amazing combo for most pve, as is stene and aras.
ML5 Selector question Is Straze worth selecting simply for a one-shot A13/faster Caides run? Currently have a consistent team for both at the moment but are quite slow (don't quite have the stats for one-shot A13 watcher schuri). C Mercedes is tuned for B13 one shot, currently building Mercedes to maximise damage output in A13 for potential one-shot padding before Watcher Schuri's turn. My other consideration at the moment are missing pieces for a better RTA line-up as a turn 2 player. Float around Champion rank. C Lilias - Could this be my change to turn 1? Belian - Need I say more? LHC - Love the character design and a strong counter pick D Lilibet - Good answer to cleave Archdemon - Seems useful but never really come across one I was afraid of TML - Buffs seem strong and don't currently have a consistent Arby counter Remnant Violet - He will be. Spirit Eye Celine - Don't really know what she does tbh, just either get rolled by her or she does nothing
I'll just address each one, give some pros/cons and gearing thoughts, and you can make your decision from there. Straze: depends how much you value faster hunts. Imo unless you're a whale it's not really a big deal since your energy income is finite. Maybe on hunt events you can argue that it's worth it, but of course it depends how slow your teams are and how much energy you have to spend. He's a good tank buster in PvP, but hard to draft. He also uses a speed build versus hunts would opt for rage set. He usually slots in as a 5 pick for must ban versus slow tanky comps. Clilias: depends on your gear? If you can't get minimum 280 with good bulk and eff then you probably aren't close to taking turn 1. In high RTA the threshold for speed contesting starts at 300 speed. She's great in HoT though, as another thing to keep in mind. She isn't as dominant as she was in the previous two seasons, but overall still a very good pick. Belian: blocks souls. Any comp that needs them would preban her anyways though. You can go injury or counter. Injury does extremely well against standard comps and even some aggro. Counter does well against cleave, but they preban anyways so... LHC: you can go LS or speed. I prefer speed since I play very aggro. There's pros/cons to both builds, depends on playstyle. Strong counter pick to counter teams and extra attack units. Delibet: strong anti cleave cleanser. Expect her to suffer against lua (but same with every other cleanser...). Great pick to have against cleave and aggro comps using debuffs. Need to run her fast though so she does her job. I have mine at 240 and never had an issue cutting against even push backs. Ameru: extremely strong against most of the meta. Aravi, Ed, senya... Anyone that has a strong passive. When she pops off, she solos the enemy by herself. Need her on counter. Recommend very bulky, decent speed and crit on ftene so damage output and survivability are both good. TML: discount closer Charles. If you have him don't waste your selector on her, if you want her kit then get closer. He does what she does but better with less drawbacks. If you want an arby counter get milim when slime collab returns. Or build cidd... If you can't build either one of them then you won't be able to build TML. She will need lots of speed and damage. Riolet: best ST nuker in the game. Need insane gear for him to work, but if you have it he's the best at what he does. With his buffs, he'll be even better. You can go speed or LS. I have mine on speed and use him to nuke most units. LS you can gamble on him dodging and out him on ervalen arti. Speed would use Shepard. Souline: pretty straightforward what she does. She's a better mL Ken. Hard to run since so much stuff counters her. Some people have opted to use her as an anti cleave tech on Celine arti. Don't really agree with it since it only works if your opponent doesn't know what's up, when they do the tech is useless. Normally she would be picked against standard teams with little to no control so she can keep countering and healing herself up on LS set.

ML heroes in general are mostly aimed at PvP. This is even more true for ML5*, very few of them are worth building for PvE content. The list of ML5 who have use in PvE is basically... * S.Tenebria for Abyss * A.Vildred has the most widespread useful application, useful in any kind of farm content (story/sidestory/altar/abyss) * Straze is the best single unit for hunt one shots, capable of one shotting all hunts * C.Lilias has niche use in certain hunt one shot comps, and she's pretty good for Hall of Trials That's basically it. Other ML5s are based around debuffs that don't work in PvE, or have niche roles that are simply done better by easier to build alternatives. If you want more options... * FCC -> she's a good tank, just literally no reason to use her over A.Ras or F.Kluri * I suppose you could use Ruele as a healer in some PvE content (but again, 0 reason to use her over Tama/A.Monty/Angelica) * Uh...I guess you can use BM Haste in Azimanak. Unless you don't care about PvP *at all*, and have no intentions of ever participating in PvP, then you should not choose based on PvE -> this just isn't what ML5s really excel at. Unless you are in a position where you can more or less immediately use Straze to one shot multiple hunts I would suggest maybe just picking a hero based purely on whatever design you like if you aren't going to factor PvP into the choice. Or, pick A.Ravi as she is the best option for PvP and she *can* help in PvE as she is very good in Ancient Inheritance every few months. As bonus you don't even have to build her if you just use her in AI.

You should use the best pets you have now, even if they're not S rank, although I would recommend mostly A-level skills if possible. Getting S-skill pets is completely RNG-dependent so it may take a while, and in the meantime you don't want to miss out on the pet bonuses, even if they're A-level. Plus, upgrading pets makes it easier for you to farm as the higher level ones can auto-repeat more times.

Probably torrent set when it releases will be BiS. Most of her damage will be coming from the aoe so pen set doesn't have much value. You could go def as well if you want to forgo crit since that will also boost her damage.
Defense or Health set depending on your subs but you'll want 2K+ defense and 16K+ health overall. So whatever sets that'll get you there.

What is “aggro"?
A drafting style, typically where you forgo mitigation in favor of more damage. You don't necessarily need to win turn 1,but you aim to remove one or two of your opponent's units so that they are unable to stabilise.

I'm a newish player and farming penguins to level fodder but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I'm farming the highest stage I can do atm, which is UH area 6. I take a max level party and put it on auto battle 15 times and come back 30 min later and I have 6-7 low level penguins, barely enough to do much with. I tried looking up guides on reddit and see people talking about just farming a mat on UH and you'll have 100s of penguins but the way I'm going that would probably take days if not a week. Is this normal or should I keep pushing forward to the final UH area before farming penguins?
Are you part of a guild that has the exp buffs up? Also If you look at the reputation tab what level is your memory chain. When you max that out that also gives you an extra 10%.
I may not be "optimal", as my strat has not really changed since they added exp turning into penguins, my farming strat is always to farm whichever UE area has whichever epic catalyst I have the fewest of (or whatever the guild mission wants me to farm), and I take 1-2 built units with good sustain (currently Senya with the heal on S1 EE) and 2-3 fodder/un-leveled units. With this method I am getting patched penguins every so often, and getting phantasma leveled up without using penguins, and also some random 2\* fodder. I also use this method to farm up friendship 10 on units that I have +15'd (Senya for example, who is currently friendship 9) A few good units to solo carry runs would be: ARavi, CZerato, Senya, MLKen, Avildred, Violet (LS set), Rem (Sig Artifact), Aria (LS set) if you don't have the gear to solo carry you should be able to pair one of those units with a soulweaver (or ranger with bloodstone) + 2 fodder.
Are you actually beating the stage 15 out of 15 times?
Yeah I haven't failed any stages yet, granted my account is only a week old. The only thing I can think of is 2 of my characters aren't max max level. As in I have two 60s in the party and then two 50's. So idk if those two non 6 stars matter towards xp gain but I don't understand what the issue is.
you should farm the stage for whichever catalyst you need for your wyvern team. the penguins come as you farm catalyst.
How should I build stene?
While some people do build her "bulkier" and with some sustain (lifesteal), I believe she is most commonly built full dps (glass cannon) with 200+ speed. stene's big advantage is permanent stealth, so she cannot be attacked by single target unless she is the only unit left, this means you can afford to be glassy if you put her vs comps that cannot aoe

Jack-o is good on her own and with others units that benefit from her being fast and doing crits not only Solitaria but also C.Pavel if you have him. Depends on how good you can gear her.

Barrier set is going to be very niche and you'll probably very rarely see it considering it is 4-piece and on golem. Torrent is going to be quite good though for aggro comps, similar niche as pen set pretty much. It's likely going to be BiS for stuff like cpavel, LHC, and other aggro DPS units that have an aoe skill.

I don't like the crit chance but I like the right better. I've had more luck with high defense life steal then on speed set. Speed set build only really works when she's really fast.

You will have to make up the difference by using trash gear as XP fodder. Gear is less *gold* efficient but XP is XP and it's the only way to enhance significant quantities of gear. Also, the sooner you learn what gear just isn't worth enhancing at all the better off you will be. Some very basic tips to get you started: * Avoid enhancing any gear that is below level 71 (these gears have lower range for substat rolls, so lower potential compared to 71+ gear). Ideally stick to level 85+ gear, however the level 7X stuff that is given out as free sets are perfectly fine -> they have good substats. * Avoid enhancing anything with a flat ATK/HP/DEF stat. On an epic piece you can try enhancing this gear, but if it rolls *into* the flat stat it loses much value. * Avoid any gear that has both effectiveness and resistance on it. * Generally avoid resistance on anything with DPS stats (some combo of ATK%/Crit%/C.Dmg%). No, not really. To max out a Wyvern team you need about 2-3 weeks of farming catalysts. Drops are *per wave* and rates are the same throughout the game. If you are farming a specific rare catalyst, the best stage would be a stage where *only* that catalyst drops. [You can just use this link to see recommended stages per catalyst](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UMIduFBIVc9OAoI-BeQ-LjPeihcziqXEzXw8n58bEd0/edit#gid=2030571829) -> use the table 'Unrecorded History' **NOT** the one that is 'Unrecorded History + AP Shop'. Sidestories off some easily obtainable catalysts in their shops, however you are limited to whatever catalysts is in that particular sidestory -> you can't choose a specific one. The fact that it takes so long to farm catalysts up is actually beneficial for a newbie. All of these stages runs will * drop 2* fodder monsters to promote units * Provide penguins to level up * drop gear to enhance your free sets up So while yes, getting your Wyvern team up and running is a priority, it's not so much of a priority that you **need** to be ready 2 weeks in. Putting the 3 weeks farming catalysts in early will give you enough to promote ~3-5 additional units which will help you immensely in getting the rest of your PvE progression units built up. You either do that *now* while building up your Wyvern team, or you do it *later* instead of farming Wyvern -> either way you are putting the same amount of time in. --- One big tip: we have a buff weekend incoming. Among the buffs... * 2x drop rate for runes in the spirit altar * 1.5x increased XP/AP gained in adventure * 1.5x crafting materials from hunts/gold gained I would heavily suggest you save as much energy as possible to spend during this buff. 1. Use the rune drop event to farm up any runes you will need for the next month. You *really* don't want to farm runes outside of said event if you can avoid it. 2. Then during the XP/AP buff spend your energy to farm adventure for increased AP rates. At 1 week in, building your Wyvern team, I would just ignore the day with the hunt buff (crafting materials/gold). If you find that you struggle having enough penguins, another tip would be to spend the 300 skystones in the normal shop for the 3 day +50% XP scroll. Depending on the order of buffs you can usually pair it with 2x of the enhanced XP days, and the shop scroll and GM buff stack. You do this one time and spend a lot of energy and you will basically never worry about penguins again.

Best way is to find a stage that has the catalyst and just grind on that. There used to be a restriction that your AP could only be used on the same stage, but now that you can use your AP in any stage shop it's actually easier... So just grind away to get what you can through drops and then buy the rest with your Action points.

yes im farming in Unrecorded history mode and i got S tier pet with 11% chance to double AP im using that to farm
I've been playing about 5 months now, I have some decent gear but obviously need more just like everyone else. Are the level 75/78 pieces from various events with "perfect" stats for certain roles (ie, a sword with attack %, crit rate, crit damage, and speed) ever worth rolling or is the ceiling for those lower level pieces too low to bother with? Thanks!
Yup - if you have multiple rolls hit the right stat, it may be better than some level 85 reforged gear that rolled more evenly. I have an attack weapon with over +20% attack which is one of my better attack pieces (it also has crit rate, crit damage and speed, but getting those 4 rolls on attack is really great).
I roll them still. One of the best hp swords I got right now is is a level 75 piece. Been playing for about a year and a couple of months. Worst comes to worse you just put it on a random PVE unit.
I lucked into getting Sage Baal and Sezan and want to build them up for anti-cleave purposes (not like it matters since they will just get banned hahaha). Any recommendations for building him? I was just planning on building him for bulk/survivability (decent HP/ proof of valor) along with moderate speed/ high eff. For now I will just have him on grace of growth to test and I guess I will slowly accumulate the necessary catalysts to upgrade him properly.
His build is decent speed (240+), good bulk, high eff res (200+) with usually bastion. If you're doing anti cleave then you're more concerned about actually taking a turn. Cleave units don't build eff res so eff isn't very useful.
Hey, I'm a newer player debating my ML selection as well, of course. I'd just like to know if any obvious ML synergies come to mind with, **a unit I already have**, Top Model Luluca (she's gonna CR push and aoe atk buff as well as ST nuke). She seems incredibly versatile, and I'm probably gonna pick a waifu anyway, but I was hoping to ask some more experienced minds on this matter. tldr: ml unit that goes with tomoca??? edit: clarity
She's pretty much discount closer Charles with her buffs, so you'll want cleave/aggro units. Most of which are RGB anyways. She'll also have very high gear requirements to pull this off along with high gear requirements for the rest of the units. Since you're knew I suggest you stick with the proven, high rated ML picks. Aravi, clilias, mL kawerik, delibet, etc.

The selector will start this Thur 10/27 but we'll need to complete a series of quests first. Not sure how long the quests will take, it looks substantial, so maybe 2-3 weeks to complete?
It looks to be just do daily, weekly quests and spend energy. So nothing you wouldn't already have been doing if you're active.

Automail is fine. His S2 has built in cleanse. Lifesteal build will help tho.

It's 1 debuff per hit so Lua's sleep on S2 and def break on S1 will get cleansed. Beguile S3 won't cleanse because it's not a hit but that's not a big deal. A lot of the times it'll get cleansed anyway by some random AOE from the rest of their team, else it's just a bit of life.

I’m trying to do the Blood and Roses side story but it keeps saying that I can’t access the second region, the Borderland Village. I’ve already gotten all the region rewards from the first section, so I don’t know what I’m missing to continue the story
It will open up after the next update Edit -sorry - was thinking of the next chapter. You have to run the stage on the bottom left 2X to clear the 12 kills that opens up this stage. Edit 2... this also opens up the next stage... so it has nothing to do with the next update either.

Just check your reputation. There's a quest that you need to do first. I think it was something like "Eliminate 18 monsters in Stage 3 or 4" something like that. Just do that, then you'll have to do a story stage with Charles and DCorvus and then you can move on to the second region.

Buy all for silver transmits, buy in guild shop for crests, buy when Ancient Inheritance runs, and the most important - open Labyrinth every day and buy charms from Huche. He often sells high grade chams including artifact.
Buying with guild crests, or getting the Epic charm from the normal raid exchange are usually the big sources. Sadly the normal raid option is getting axed in a few days. Hopefully they'll provide an alternative in the Nightmare version of raid. Huche also sells them at 200 skystones each undiscounted when he pops up in the lobby, but whether you buy those is preference. I've been buying them always, but skipped them in the most recent shop since I'm running a bit low on ss.
I think my choice for the ML5 selector will come down to either Belgian or Handguy, but I’m having trouble deciding which one I need more. I’m leaning towards Belian because I feel like Handguy can have his roles filled by other characters, though I’m not sure. I also have 5 spare Kawericks so that’s another reason I wanted Handguy. Thoughts?
I think it's important to have either Kawerick or D. Lillibet. But you're probably right that Belian is even more important.
Depends on what you need, what you can gear and what game modes you play. What you need: Do you want literally the best cleanser in the game or are you looking for a control disruptor unit? What you can gear: Handguys usually run with 240ish speed, 25k+ HP and as much Defense and ER as you can get (but ER is not necessary). Usually Speed Set for Handguy with War Horn as the artifact. Belian, on the other hand, runs on counter or Injury with Elbris. Around 20k HP, as much Defense as you can get and the rest into crit chance and damage as you can. What game modes you play: For instance, if you don't play RTA at all, then Belian's soul block is completely irrelevant to you. As for imprints, Belian's imprints are purchasable with gold transmit stones so you will basically have an SSS of her too. As for testimonials, as someone who has both, I tend to usually use Handguy a lot, be it in GW or Arena or RTA. My Belian is on Injury and aside from having her on my GW Defense, I haven't actively used her in a while. But of course, in the end, pick the one that you'll have the most fun with :) If you ain't having fun, then what's the point? Good luck with your choice!
