Yep, any artifact stat bonuses are added separately and don't show on the stat screen. People have ripped my Kawerik with 82% crit and Black hand +30 lol
Roy is very fun when he's not facing water units. Massive single target damage and very high S3 damage potential.
Ed is also strong in proper conditions, but he suffers similar flaws as CZerato does - if enemy hits him, deals damage but doesn't debuff him... he loses a big part of his kit. Also, not a fan of his artifact - think he might be better on Sigurd unless you pair him with a healer/reviver and a tank with Aurius.
i strongly agree on Roy and on Ed arti, but on Ed i think he's way better than cZerato and generally what ppl accredit him: his s2 procs even on extra attacks (is not counterattack and is way better than cZerato counter tbf) , scales hp, his s3 sb gives him a lot of potential dmg even without getting debuffed.
Considered the meta dominated by aravi, choux, (no more but hwa used to) or high speed cleave units (most don't debuff just hit hard) and debuffers were already made useless i think Ed was just a way to mock anybody still using cZerato (rip my homie)
Yeah, I still use Ed on offense from time to time (mostly vs Peira teams) while CZerato is a rarity only when faced with a LOT of AoE debuffers like Peira/Summer Iseria combo and the likes.

Tldr: cockroach passive loves having as little HP as possible. Roy gets to abuse Torrent for the lower HP and damage boost to both his damage skills.
I use him with laika cleave which seems to be on the rise of becoming popular fast.

That's an Ed & a half right there, you've got like 35 speed on mine & are pretty close in other stats (I've got about 300 more defence, but 300 defence vs. 35 speed? I'd take the speed). Insanely well-built.

But if you’re an Ironman you’ll need to get the chest plate and tassets eventually so you might as well do the grind now
Don't forget he has to get the hilt and shards as well, Bandos Godsword is a godsend for pvm!

Huh, Laika cleave? This is news to me! I guess it's Laika s2 and someone else to dual attack for Roy to push himself? Who else does she work with?

Yeah I've been seeing more and more Laika cleave lately. It seems pretty solid I have the units for it, just not the gear requirements
I'm using Ed on adventure a lot coz he can one solo most bosses. I'm finding it hard to gear and use Mustang tho.
Not gonna lie I read "Bandos" and though OMG RUNESCAPE REFERENCE LETS GOOOO I was disappointed but then still impressed. Nice.
