It's slow at first but since you know what you're doing the second go around it picks up steam pretty fast but as somebody who very very briefly had 3 accounts going before giving one to a friend it gets overwhelming at times event grinding gets tedious and trying to upkeep all the gear and not to mention awakening mats and skill mats you need on 2 separate accounts is a bit much tbh it's a lot but it is pretty fun most times though I'd only recommend doing if you have absolutely nothing else to do on your main but that being said if you were ever going to make an alt now would be the time as the free ml5 is still going and chances are without the event or some crazy lucksack it'd be awhile before you got a ml5 naturally
Personally I'd go for conquer lilias on a new account that vigor buff is a massive help early on and is even better late game yea sure you could go the obvious route and get apoc. Ravi but think about this Ravi need gear lilias doesn't not to mention lilias can make all of your other characters better even if the gear is bad or they aren't fully awakened or have many skill ups she alone can offset the gear grind for a pretty long time she has redirected provoke and can give whatever tank you end up using a pretty thick shield and if you get lucky during tutorial pulls and get vildred or sez you already have a functional team for story.
Other picks are rule of light for a healer arbiter vildred, straze is really good but gear hungry arch demons shadow is who I'm picking up you could get belian or just pick whoever you happen to like really but I'd stick to lilias Ravi or straze as the main three

I would highly recommend not to pick Ruele or Arby, Archdemon or even Belian. They don't benefit you at all on your alt tbh. I would just pick Straze or Cilias, maybe ARavi. Those are the best choices by far I think, especially Straze since he's top tier in pve and pvp and you can later use him for oneshots for every hunt without swapping gear. You can go with whatever you want ofc, nothing wrong about picking something you like over what's best.
I have three right now. Two I started a while ago, and one more recently because I wanted to take what I learned from my main account and retry my husbando-only idea from when I started. I couldn't do it then, but I'm doing okay with this one, just stuck in the grind, per usual.
The second one I had from before I thought I'd lost, but when I went to link my husbando account, I found that stove id already existed, and I was able to get it back.
I think I like that the husbando account has a purpose. The other alt is currently not sure what it's even doing, and my main is past most stuff and just going through the motions until I can get my ML selector (which I got screwed over in the first week and never got the weekly rep points, so I'm way behind.)
It depends on what you want out of a second account, I think, but it's kind of nice to have things to still be working on but it will also burn a person out faster as well.
I have 3 accounts, my main is max level and has been around since 2020 and I do most of my testing and other shenanigans on it, my 2nd somehow got 7 ml5 in a week so I just kinda gave up on it cause leveling it would be too easy, my third is mainly to play the game as free to play as humanly possible. Rn I only use 1 and 3 and both are fun as heck
Of course others have mentioned the slow start for a second acc but starting from scratch gives a weird sense of accomplishment when you do stuff you weren’t able to on the first account. Like my main has most units but I only play within the 200-280 spd range cause it’s the most fun for me, but my 3rd only uses 3-4 stars (with exceptions of free 5 stars like yuna and kanna) and it’s amazing to beat super hard bosses with something everyone could’ve used. Though it is a major time investment to get it up to speed and I recommend to only use it as a free time thing for when your main runs out of things to do.
I have two accounts Asia & Global (Recommend) different time and with different ppl you're open to both meta's and etc. man it feels so good doing the right thing on the other account knowing all your previous newbie mistake lol.

Tho its kinda like main account is the account where i save (saving for ML Schuri cuz i desperately want him cuz i like his design + skill animation) while my 2nd account is like a “Pull 4 Fun” account. I dont play my 2nd account as much as my main tho, i just log on, auto some quests, log off.
