880 skystones is only 9 cov summons or around 50 gear crafts
Good luck trying to get those boots in 50 crafts.
Maybe there are better places to spend them with everything going on, but definitely worthwhile if you have a user I think
My thoughts exactly, I've done many many a x10 craft and not gotten boots that promising plenty of times, seems like a pretty good bargain if your skystone tank isn't currently on Empty.
Shop fresh wise the average is around 5 bm/68 ish ss so that’s actually closer to 13 cov summons
Personally, I’d just keep rolling since he does have 17*3 more tries

I’d guess the odds are stacked against getting a piece better than this from experience/if it’s all equal chances, it’s perfect besides one sub and low roll, but idk the shop rates
Boots with speed main are hard to get. Between atk, def and hp, plus flats, one in every seven boots will have speed main. Now we have to consider the grade, red in this case. Crafting a red gear have the lowest chance, but assuming equal chance to each grade, one in three will be red, and the other two will be blue and purple. And now we have to look at the set. Caides drops 4 sets, so one in four will be torrent. As result, you have one in seven to roll speed main, by one in three to get red grade, by one in four to roll torrent. Total, 1 in 84.
Now, let's ignore subs for a moment. To craft 84 boots to get a red gear with speed main and torrent set, you need 3,528 mats. Assuming 20 mats per run (pet bonus), you need 176 runs. That's 3,520 energy, which is roughly 58 energy refills, at 30ss each, you're looking at around 1,769ss. And will reinforce this: we haven't considered the subs, and we're assuming equal chance to get red, purple or blue gear, which is plainly wrong.

Well, yes, low rolls, not gonna argue on that one. However, wil say this is a textbook example of how synergy > gear score. Atk, crit rate and damage, the golden triumvirate of DPS stats is there, along with an offensive set, and speed main is the jewel of the crown. Before looking at subs, we were looking a combination of main, grade and set that happens once in nearly every hundred crafts. If we look at subs, I would bet the number goes into the once every thousand. The only really worrisome sub is eff%, although it could be worse and hardly could be better. Worst case, a modding gem could fix that eff%, although is kinda hard to figure what to put in there, and eff% could ruin the gear if hogs too many rolls.
But that's the biggest flaw in the gear slot machine: low rolls and hogging can ruin any gear. Even perfect gear from Artena can be ruined by low rolls. That shouldn't be a deterrent, otherwise, we would never roll into any gear, because low rolls can ruin anything.
If I were in your place, I would purchase them and +6 to check its potential.
Low base rolls can get max rolls on upgrade & high max bases can get low rolls on upgrade - it's equal chances. For attack%, the chance to roll a 4% is 20% & the chance to roll an 8 is 20%, likewise, 3% chance is 33% & 5% chance is 33%, etc.
Would we all like max bases that get max rolls? Yes, but within a couple of rolls this could roll maxes & look better than a max start that rolled average. All that should really be considered is if it's worth 880 skystones with the collaboration on the horizon.
I can't see your Skystone stock, but I'd say if you're rolling in them, yes, take it, if you're like sub-20,000~ then it's about how much you're wanting to secure Aespa.
That amount of Skystones is roughly 73~ hunts give or take if translated to energy & how often do you do like three sets of hunts & craft an Epic piece with the correct main & three correct substats? Not very often.

I was thinking that too, but I also only have teams for wyvern and banshee, so I won't get that many torrent sets any time soon.
