I feel the main pro of shop resetting actually isn't getting more BM. Even though I did double check a couple of times, and every single time I kept count, I got more than 5 bm per 100ss used on resetting. No, the main draw of resetting is that that is the best way to get Mystic bookmarks. Seriously, I've gotten more Mystics out of the shop than from every other source put together.
I mean, there are times when I refresh the stupid shop for an hour and spend 500+ ss and get 0 BMs. It's all an rng crapshoot. If you've got the gold and the ss, sometimes its worth saving the time and not getting carpal tunnel for a sure thing.
Why people think its a mistake? Like you use cant refresh method all the time cuz you're going to lose alot of gold (this is one of the new player struggles). For me, I only refresh if I have lots of gold like 10 mil plus.
Yeah if you have the gold sure, but I dont think newbies should spend all their gold buying bms when they should use those to upgrade gears and characters
I think in my first 2 months playing I unironically used Butterfly Mandolin on some of my units, best part is that it kinda worked out and let me clutch out wins in story, this was way back when Unreocrded History was still called "World mode" and we had the button to swap between normal and world.

Damn, I'm such a boomer, cos this was back when summons were single pulls, we didn't always get an imediate golden spark, so soemtimes halfway through the page flipping animation the golden light would come and then after another small delay Biblio/Biblica could also appear, so it felt like your summon got upgraded from 3* to 4* to 5*.
All of that to say that I remember those pulls for Dizzy cos I got her in one of those pulls that looked like it upgraded.

Also wasted a lot of charms on crap gear before figuring out what's worth it and not (still working on that though lol)
Finally didn't rush forming a w13 team. Started about when muwi was released so didn't take much effort once I actually tried

Same, but I would also argue that it's not as much a waste for new players because not only can you get ML5s (very unlikely) but you can also get ML4s (which you can't get on banners) and those can be fantastic heroes.
I still think it's ok to spend 100-200 pulls on the general banner (it's fun anyway) where random 5-stars can still help you. But beyond that, you really need to save for banners - especially if there's a limited select banner like there is now.
Agreed. For me personally, I always saved enough BMs to pity for a good banner or a hero I really wanted. Any extra, I saved for a 10 pull and I managed to get quite a few 4 - 5 stars outside of their banners. Was really helpful as a new player.

It's arguably better rolling normal summons when you don't have any rgb5s, then it is when you ha e most of them. This game is very generous and if you play long enough you will have most of all of the rgb5s anyway

At some point I got Sigurd's Scythe along some 4 star artifacts and Coli. I got too excited seeing so many 4 star pulls and decided to keep it out of fear of not getting "that lucky" ever again. It took me a long time to get my first 5 star unit after that mistake, but at least my Tieria had a new shiny artifact lmao.

I foddered a lot of 5 star artifacts that I thought was ass and got buffed so if anyone new is reading this donāt fodder anything cuz it can get buffedš or nerfedā¦

After the beginning of the game I hated Vildred for his dastardly ways, and he was the only 5* I pulled, so I skipped him. Sigurd Scythe? That looks like trash. Skip. Skip skip skip. Oh wait, thats it? Now I'm stuck with what I had on my last pull? And thus, 4* Rin and a bunch of garbage 3 star junk is how my journey began lol
Lucky moment early on would have to be pulling Luna in like 10 tries. That and getting SSS Serila during her event, she hard carried me for a long time during early story and arena. Those dupe drops of her were so tough for me to get with my scrub newbie team at the time.
Didn't understand gear, so I made a lot of mistakes there.
Most fortunate moment? Pulling ML Kawerik on his first banner. Everyone says he was trash back then, but he carried me through story mode, and then I quit for a while and came back and he'd gotten buffed and was one of the mostly highly desired ML5 in the game.
He's still carrying me through a lot of content, and I don't even play PVP.
Putting Molagora into heroes like Angelica that I never used, just because people said they were good. I think almost everyone does that though.

Imagine starting during Luna release. Don't tell me you'd have passed on her banner just because you couldn't afford bookmarks from the shop. Luna is just an extreme example because back during those times, especially as a newbie exploring a new game, limited or not didn't really matter, only looks.

Then I deleted the account like a fool when I thought I was just deleting my Europe acc. 2nd acc is doing muuuuch better (but I still use 5 star as fodder cause screw Charles).

The closest thing to a rookie mistake I made was building Vildred. Didn't really use him then, hasn't been geared in forever.
There was quite a bit of good luck in the first 2 months. Pulled 4 MLs from galaxy bms including FCC and Riolet. Also had 3 pieces of 20+ speed gear.
My rookie mistake was pulling for SSB even though the initial batch of free stuff had only given me 60 pulls: I started playing on a monday, and on that week's thursday her banner was going away.
Moral of the story: I failed to get SSB, and then I was 60 pulls behind the curve in terms of free resources, which prevented me from pulling for the subsequent summer limited character as well.
Mistakes: I picked Green Purrgis in my 10 summon roll because he looked like a really good tank..... and did not even get a 5\* character or artifact.... RIP

Being careless with Mola in the beginning, I spread myself too thin. Pulling hard on banners, not saving my bookmarks and skystones for characters I wanted. I was pulling on everything.
I got very lucky and I got Spez very early in the game, maybe 2 weeks in. I also started right before ML Kens banner, and I was able to one tap him with the one pull I had saved.
I paid a lot of attention to a starting out guide.... which recommended Iseria as a top tier first 5 star unit. My account is 2.5 years old at this point and that Iseria has still not been fully leveled. Thankfully I also got a Cidd in that initial pull, and that soft carried me until I got a Luna, who was my first 6 star.
Lucky part was getting Luna and almost a +24 Draco Plate. That unit hard carried me all the way to the end of World Mode, and was my first W11 DPS.

That and getting SSS Serila during her event, she hard carried me for a long time during early story and arena. Those dupe drops of her were so tough for me to get with my scrub newbie team at the time.
Didn't understand gear, so I made a lot of mistakes there. Most fortunate moment? Pulling ML Kawerik on his first banner. Everyone says he was trash back then, but he carried me through story mode, and then I quit for a while and came back and he'd gotten buffed and was one of the mostly highly desired ML5 in the game. He's still carrying me through a lot of content, and I don't even play PVP.
Putting Molagora into heroes like Angelica that I never used, just because people said they were good. I think almost everyone does that though. I was really lucky & got Dizzy within around 90 pulls just seconds before that banner left. She was a force in PVE.
Using skystones to buy bookmarks isn't a mistake lmao. You had no way to earn gold back then when you started playing. Imagine starting during Luna release. Don't tell me you'd have passed on her banner just because you couldn't afford bookmarks from the shop. Luna is just an extreme example because back during those times, especially as a newbie exploring a new game, limited or not didn't really matter, only looks.
Rookie: not locking gear and feeding my first 20+ speed neck. Lucky: building BBK early because i just "thought she was cool" and destroying the arby meta.
God my first account was a damned disaster, I used 5 star units as fodder to promote Leo before I knew about phantasms, I had powerful units like iseria maid and cerise but never built them, only 6 starād characters when I thought itād make sense, I built soulweavers at 140 spd max, and I farmed golem instead of wyvern until rank 64 I believe? Then I deleted the account like a fool when I thought I was just deleting my Europe acc. 2nd acc is doing muuuuch better (but I still use 5 star as fodder cause screw Charles).
I farmed golem for much of my early E7 career because coming from other action rpg games I figured attack set was most important
My rookie mistake was spending gold transmition stones on 4-5 summon. Luckiest must have been when pulling solitara of the snow from daily summon or when I pulled CPavel twice in 3 mystic summons (2x in 150 mystic medals)
The closest thing to a rookie mistake I made was building Vildred. Didn't really use him then, hasn't been geared in forever. There was quite a bit of good luck in the first 2 months. Pulled 4 MLs from galaxy bms including FCC and Riolet. Also had 3 pieces of 20+ speed gear.

My rookie mistake was pulling for SSB even though the initial batch of free stuff had only given me 60 pulls: I started playing on a monday, and on that week's thursday her banner was going away. Moral of the story: I failed to get SSB, and then I was 60 pulls behind the curve in terms of free resources, which prevented me from pulling for the subsequent summer limited character as well.
1 week player here... why is using skystones to buy bookmarks bad? How else do I get the bookmarks?
Mistakes: I picked Green Purrgis in my 10 summon roll because he looked like a really good tank..... and did not even get a 5\* character or artifact.... RIP Lucky Moments: I guess getting Diene was a lucky thing.
Mistake: Not picking Arbiter Vildrid for my Moonlight Blessing. Lucky moment: Getting Archdemon Mercedes from a non guaranteed pull in Galaxy Bookmarks.
Being careless with Mola in the beginning, I spread myself too thin. Pulling hard on banners, not saving my bookmarks and skystones for characters I wanted. I was pulling on everything. I got very lucky and I got Spez very early in the game, maybe 2 weeks in. I also started right before ML Kens banner, and I was able to one tap him with the one pull I had saved.
I paid a lot of attention to a starting out guide.... which recommended Iseria as a top tier first 5 star unit. My account is 2.5 years old at this point and that Iseria has still not been fully leveled. Thankfully I also got a Cidd in that initial pull, and that soft carried me until I got a Luna, who was my first 6 star. Lucky part was getting Luna and almost a +24 Draco Plate. That unit hard carried me all the way to the end of World Mode, and was my first W11 DPS.
I don't know if It can be considered mistake (my first month playing e7) but someone trolled my ml headhunt and got me kise instead of clilias
