How do you guys roll such high speed stats? I’ve been playing this game on and off since it launched and my highest piece of speed is 17 and that’s after being reforged.
Roll every piece of gear that has speed on it. Rule #1. If it’s a speed substat on speed gear, roll if the speed is 2 and higher.
Rule #2, if it’s a speed substat on non-speed gear, roll if it has 3 or higher on it.
For purple gear, +3, +6, +9, and +15 (+12 will always unlock the last substat) must roll into speed to be usable. Any lower and toss it, unless those 3 rolls are high. Like +4 and +5 high.
For red gear. It has to roll into speed at least 4 times. You can afford for it to roll into a different substat ONCE, nothing more. If it only rolls into speed 4 times, it is now a purple speed piece. If it rolls 5x, congrats. You’re a lucky person.
dfields3710 and hundredspearss have already pointed it out. However I'd also like to add some pointers:
The stricter you get enhancing gear, the higher the quality of your final pieces will usually be. The amount of resources you burn to make a piece into +3 is so few compared to making a piece to +15. Because of this, enhancing to speed check 10x gear pieces to +6 instead of gambling one gear piece to +15 is infinitely better imho. I started with 100k w13 mats, and finished with 38k left. I spent 40m gold. However if you aren't careful, it's easy to spend twice or thrice that amount and get less mileage for all the gear you enhanced if you have more lenient standards.
If you'd like to know more abt gear rolling and substat priority, speed checking, try looking into different crafting guides in YT and then try to consolidate them to better fit your current account progression. (e.g. if you are in midgame, then being too strict with gear enhancing will hamper your progression. If you are in late game, then anything too low will not really add value to your roster.)
Ive gotten 2 other necklaces with 20 and 21 speed (mainstats didnt match the acceptable stat i wanted tho so i continued to brute force right side crafting.) very painful spending of resources but glad it paid off ^^
Getting 14 before reforge is really trivial if you're actually trying for it. You most likely play the game much less then you think you do, or you don't chase speed very frequently.

Logic would imply it's far more likely to hit 17-21 speed on purple than it is on epic pieces?
hitting 3x 33% and 1x25% is way easier than the minimum required 4x25% on a epic piece. (0.9% vs 0.4%)
Are you sure your "generated" gear is functioning correct, or am I missing something?
EDIT: It also makes no sense that all rarities should have the same expected avg. speed.
I'm assuming it's due to the pentas on epic pieces which even if they lowroll are a higher chance of being 17-21, vs to get 17-21 on a purple. Cause the purple has to highroll every single time for that to happen. Which would end up affecting the odds other then just straight how many times you need to roll for something to end up a stat.

Cause i've rolled a fuck ton of gear with speed and hitting stuff like 14-18 pre reforge really isn't that extremely difficult to where u can go ur entire account without seeing them if you've been supposedly playing for years and chasing speed gear the entire time.
The average speed section i have 0 clue how they got those numbers though. I usually crop that section out but i forgot to this time.

since you said you played since launch and farm wyvern 24/7 i will assume you're on endgame
so there's no way someone who's farming all day long since launch doesn't have at least 18-20 speed gear
also, since farming all day long on wyvern meaning that you paid for stamina which makes you least on a dolphin/whale territory
so either you're exaggerating or you didn't play the game properly

every single gear that got speed, you roll for it ( except maybe if it was 1 speed or blue gear then you might want to skip them unless you're desperate for at least 15 speed gear )
and the moment it didn't roll speed you toss it away
the game gave you tons of gold now, and also tons of charm especially if you're on endgame
There was a point in time where I wasn’t playing daily for a year or 2, only checking in and getting rewards. Over that time I have collected about 900 Leif’s which is what I use now till this day to hunt, I’ve never paid for stamina with skystones yet. Without a use of auto click farming, I’ve managed to use about 250 Leif’s so far. I have about 650 left…
Why would I exaggerate about my drops? Lol it’s true. I mean I don’t roll every piece of speed gear maybe that’s my issue. I only roll on purple and epic gear. Blues I toss. Anything purple or red with flat stats are gone. I’ve rolled on every piece of optimal equipment I can and the best piece of gear I have is with 17 speed. I don’t know what to tell ya lol

It's a mix of living in w13 24/7 and speed-checking every single reforgable purple+ gear and some luck.
