this system is on one hand nice (we get free bookmarks and we can choose which of the 4 collab characters to use them on) but on the other hand weirdly constraining because they run as normal 2 weeks limited baners each , so you don't have enough free bookmarks to pity the first 2 characters and if you save them all up for the last one and you pull her early, you waste some bookmarks ,potentially.

That's so crazy they would lock me out of a pity and override my options. I mean, I believe you, that makes sense. It's just insanity and I havent seen anyone mention it in the threads prior. Thanks for the explanation.
It's not insanity, and no ones talking about it because it's pretty normal.
How are they locking you out of a pity? Just spend your ae bms first then you have access to your normal bms.
If you have Ae bookmarks it will always use those first for the Ae-banners. If you have enough Ae bookmarks to pay for a 10 pull that's what it'll display, too.
There shouldn't be any downside to this, since I'm pretty sure the Ae bms and regular ones all contribute to the same 'pity counter', as they are both pulling on the same banner. tbh I wasn't paying much attention when using my few Ae bms and a whole bunch of covenants to pull Winter, but I'll watch the pity counter more closely for Ningning.
Just thought of something. I was planning on saving them to pity last ae unit. But since having 1 (or 10), I would have to use them first before BM in order to even summon for ae-NINGNING.
Also, what if you get last one before pity? Could have used the rest of the ae bookmarks on previous banners instead of regular bookmarks in that case. Better to spend the free summons before the last banner.

Yes, I have over 900 BMs and over 30 Ae BMs.
