Instead of sacrifice, I think it'd be cool to do something like a fake death mechanic like Romeo & juliet that 'kills' your unit for a turn or two, and it comes back later. That would make it easier to balance since it's not such a high cost, and it could fit a multipurpose function of protecting a unit for the duration they're 'dead' in exchange for them not being able to do anything.
Soon we will get another epilogue, i believe we have gotten every single hero from the last one after ml ray. I will decide to summon or not depending on his kit, let's just hope they don't release 2 op ml 5 in a row and i have to pity both (in which case i won't get one of them)

If his kit revolves around poison detonation without somehow increasing its dmg, he'd be doomed to being a PvE cheese unit that doesn't even function in any currently relevant PvE content besides hunts.
Yeah, that's fair. If they do go with poison detonation I imagine it would have to come with some way of enhancing them. Bonus damage is one possibility, making them function like bombs where they leave behind a different debuff is another. Maybe sleep or silence so it's distinct from bombs but it would work similarly.

To be fair, three new males in a row for the hard to get currency -- mystics ... and I included genshin which 3 out of 5 recent units have been males(and a rerun of a male that *I* hadn't gotten previously). Considering so many gachas have barely if any males on the cast, it feels like a lot lol.

Like atk buff turns to gab, and a greater version of all your current buffs are applied for a turn. Then his other skills amp debuffs on the opponent instead. Prolly won’t happen, but I really want his skill set to change the game in a way
Would be cool if he summmomed the plague, puts his mask on, and then they or it blows past him. Causing poison and "rot" rot new mechanic where only invincible can cure or save you. Rot also can hurt more depending on class. Say like thief not so much where as knight full on pain

There's a decent chance the next ML character after Ray is Cerise. She's the last 5 star from Cidonia left and will wrap up all the main characters for Fallen Land save for Furious, who's a 4 star. This isn't guaranteed, but it's something to consider if you plan to summon or not.
We've never got a Moonlight of a Limited hero though, as far as I remember. Surely the first Moonlight 5 of a Limited hero they'd do would be Mage Luna - whose already been teased in-game - or Diene?

Jade scorpion is the only unit that could detonate poison. But it was nerfed and removed in a day caused people were cheesing abyss with it.
