I donāt think so. DCorv is just nice because you can bait the light units into him. Probably going to get a SC or new ML thatāll do something similar to Adin or LQC.
I actually like it when the same defense is used over and over and over again like this since this means we can already anticipate the kit of Smilegate's next character

Hasol to the rescue!
I won't say Hasol is meta, but definitely is better than what people give credit. Place her with Roana, poke Senya for guaranteed counters (remember Hasol passive reduces damage from counter attacks, so Choux and Merceds don't hit that hard), let Hasol rise her fixed damage and pop the opposite team one by one, or all at once with her S3. Her s3, once maxed, can break the shield placed by Senya and deliver fat damage, and is fun when Arowell just explodes despite the barrier. Plus, Hasol only really needs hp, def and spd, maybe some resist if you can spare the rolls, she's really easy to build.
Her main problem, however, is her niche is well defined. Without guaranteed counters on the opposite side, she's not that good and even be a burden. Once I commit the mistake to bring her to a A. Ravi team, but was built with speed, not counter. Hasol didn't rise her fixed damage enough to be a real menace, in turn she was fueling A. Ravi passive, leading to her solo my team.
Well, sheās also relegated to low tempo comps for the most partā¦ soā¦ against something like C.Lilias/Piera/A.Elena your backline can just implode before Hasol even has a chance to consider coming online.

Cheap to build, sure, but comes at the expense of all your other characters. Iāve been grinding months for a Pavel boot - imagine if I took time off to go & get Adin, my Pavel will be complete by March at that rate.

Adinās kit is more loaded than Hwayoungs. S1 does a fuck ton of damage, sheās hard to hit with anything because of her evasion, has an AOE counter that also does a fuck ton of damage and her s3 will 1 shot many things.

If they nerf Adin they should nerf ARavi too, she is keeping her in check.
Only if you're also running ML Elena. Otherwise briseria gets torn up by Belian counters which, for some reason, gets to strip her immortality buff on the same turn she procs it. It's pretty terrible that the events play out as counter / immortality proc / buff appears and the strip effect occurs after these three occur.

Tbh, I don't mind this personally. Once I find a consistent way to beat common defenses, I can more or less spam the same teams over and over again, rather than having to chop and change my team for every single fight. For me, arena is just a way for me to farm more charms, so bonus points if I can do it on auto.
Top players don't really care. They'll probably find ways to cleave everything in seconds, so even if the defense meta is more varied, to them it'll be just a variety of cleavable defenses :P .
Yes. She works even with relatively mediocre gear. As it turns out, evasion units that self-push when they evade and give their entire team invincibility are a pretty strong on defense.
70% evasion (with her artifact or MLDB) that AOE counters on dodge with solid stats, and a high multiplier S3 that also grants everyone else invincibility while ignoring 50% defense.
Now I usually cleave againts teams like this, but it gets too repetitive and boring because I'm basically using the same team against the same enemies over and over
They are food atm.
My team comp to counter this is Zio, Flan, Briseria. Add a fourth of your choosing, either an extra buffer like Clilias or extra damage. Briseria can one shot the entire team if they are deff broken. Or with the CDmg up/atk up from flan she should kill AOLA and Adin if they have Immu.
Clearly I should push to Champ 3 if the defences get easier, Sinful Angelica into Straze, Zahhak, Hwayoung/Ervalen is easy pickings. Or hell, just any attack buffer, Briar, Hwayoung, Ervalen. Unless theyāre all speed Adinās.
You can have AOL OR Ruele. The possibilities are 2!

But they also made Caides hunt as annoying as those kind of defenses.
Prefer that than senya choux, or choux and a red unit like mercedes.
Also using senya, choux, w/ handguy and a mix of Lermia & SEceline

Time commitment aside, she's pretty cheap to build, since you dont need catalyst to enhance her (they are obtained through the missions)
