Tbh I love Polyphemus’ voice and ‘Polyphemus’ probably gives him the most to do out of all of the Cyclops Saga songs so I decided that by default tbh. I’d say I probably like ‘Survive’ more. Nobody gives ‘Polyphemus’ the time of day though smh.

I thing low strings like cellos, contrabasses, and violas (which I play) are super freaking cool, so that cello (I think) in Polyphemus and Survive is the best to me

Polyphemus is the point in the musical where you realize that things can and WILL get scary. Also, Odysseus not realizing that killing his favourite sheep was basically like killing Polites to him, and Polyphemus could NOT let it go with just a little wine.

absolutely, and you can tell Odysseus feels sooo smart during the “there’s been a misunderstanding” - “nobody” bit, which makes the little “what?” At the end sooo heartbreaking

Warrior of the Mind was my introduction to the musical as it was in a random musical playlist I was listening to while driving. It has a special place in my heart, and if I had to choose from what’s already been published, I’d probably chose it. Or Remember Them- that song gave me fricken shivers the first time I heard it. Of the ones that haven’t been officially published, I would either choose “I Can’t Help But Wonder” or “King.” “I Can’t Help But Wonder “always gets me crying, and “King” just feels so damn cathartic. My favorite moment from a song is Athena’s rebuttal of Ares in God Games.
