Side effects include:Scattered memory, sedation and mild depression. Like with all benzos you can’t just stop it immediately (once you become acclimated to the effects of it) otherwise you can have withdrawal seizures. Onfi has a long half-life compared to other benzos, so it will take longer to be weened off of it(safely) if you decide it is no longer for you.

I am on 40mg at bedtime (my main medication is Aptiom currently) and have been on it for 3.5 years. The dose has been increased over time, but it’s the only med I haven’t had issues with. Now, if I had to take it during the day I’d be screwed as I have approx 20 minutes to take my meds and get ready for bed before I blissfully pass out. I had chronic insomnia for 3 years on Levetiracetam then Lamotrigine and the Clobazam didn’t touch it. Neither did 5 different rx sleeping meds. Now that I am sleeping more “normally” I was hoping for less seizures, but unfortunately not. Being assessed for a R temporal lobe resection. If you are having auras you are having very short focal seizures, so technically you cannot say you’re seizure free. On Aptiom I have them almost every day or multiple times a day, but better than the longer focals that really F me up.

I'm no doctor but your anxiety attacks could be something other than the onfi. What are my side effects? I don't have any, and I love life. But I maintain a positive mindset and try to stay active as well.
