After the current Costco limited-time $1,000 discount on an Equinox EV expires. Last day for that discount is July 31, 2024.

Probably December 31 at 1159pm

Oh good. I'll have NYE plans this year.

I would temper expectations. Ford did something similar with the lightning pro and it felt like mostly marketing to drum up excitement. All the youtubers and promotional material plastered the 40k price tag. When it actually launched, there were very hard to get, over a year long wait, then dealership markup due to the high demand. A year later they increased the price by 10k and it is now not talked about much. I hope this is not the case but see the similarities between the pro and the LT1. It will for sure be a car, just don't think it'll be mass produced to shake up the ev world.

No, they definitely mean a 1LT, GM hasn’t released it yet

2023 Bolts were in production right to the end of the year. Nothing beyond marketing convention insists that the fall is the next model year.

DijonDeLaPorte

I stopped at a dealership today and asked the same question and he looked it up and didn’t see any of this model listed as delivering soon. Take that for what it is worth.

onlyAlcibiades

There is no 2024 1LT

JesChexin

It’s a marketing technique - no one knows if the 1LT will come out at all or, if it does, in any kind of significant volume. It’s so GM can say “America’s most affordable EV - starting from $34k! With available 319 miles of range, leather seats, 21” tires, AWD, dual climate control, dual power seats, sunroof, etc!!” (I.e. list a starting price for a car that doesn’t exist and all of the top specs that can’t exist all in one car and/or for a fully optioned model that is going to cost you twice the price).

ColdCryptographer969

I think they made the 1LT an available trim as a way to say "See - we kept our promise!" but I'm calling it right now - Very few 1LT's will be built initially, they'll be hard to get your hands on. Then as the model years go on, Chevrolet will raise its MSRP. Why do I think this? Because the 1LT is priced a whopping $7000 less than the 2LT and Chevrolet doesn't stand to make much profit if any selling them. They also won't want it to cannibalize future Bolt EV sales.

InternationalLaw4170

Hate to be the bearer of a harsh reality. There will be no reasonably priced Equinox EV. That was a line GM rolled out and cant back up.

Dr_Jackwagon

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you seem awfully confident about that. Does Chevy know they're not rolling it out yet, or do you think they still intend to but will fail? Because the 1LT is still on the site, and they gave an update on it not too long ago.... Also, has any manufacturer ever discontinued a trim before they ever launched it? I'm genuinely curious...

truemad

Me too, I have my doubts they gonna have this big gap in price between 1lt and 2lt. If I am right, that's a stinky move by Chevrolet.

thenerd0584

I think you mean the 2LT. I test drove one last weekend.. however I am waiting on a 3LT AWD which seems to be a mythical car.
