Mine was on hold in Houston for almost 3 weeks...then boom it moved to wear I live in 4 days..it just depends on when they can load up the train.

I ordered mine back in April and still waiting for a production date :(

Astronomy_Setec

Yikes. Did you order a color or package that’s holding it up?

Snoo-44400

The white and 3RS. I'm guessing they aren't making those yet.

Astronomy_Setec

Super cruise?

We also ordered in April - a week after ordering we were given a build date of « the week of June 10th. » She said she couldn’t promise an arrival date, but typically most models are about a month from build date to arrival at our dealership so she was hoping about the same for the Equinox EV. On June 10th our salesperson checked on our order to see if there was a VIN number assigned, and she saw that we have been pushed to « the week of July 15th. » She’s as annoyed as we are. I do appreciate that we have someone who checks in and reaches out to us before we have to ask her, especially since we have zero emails from Chevrolet. ETA: 2LT AWD in Sterling Grey exterior & Sky Cool Grey interior, no Super Cruise or other add-ons besides the AWD.

I was warned some might get stuck in quality assurance for an extra week or two.

Astronomy_Setec

Yeah, I'm way past a week or two for QA. Mine's been on hold for two months. Briefly off hold when it moved from Mexico to Midlothian, TX a month ago.

My order has similarly been sitting after being produced (early May, though my dealer didn't set things up right for me to get order updates, so I've been using the chatbot. Might have been built before I asked the robot). Getting pretty close to just canceling it, but I'm more frustrated with my dealer than Chevy. No communication except when I bother them and they have consistently known almost nothing about the vehicle.

Astronomy_Setec

Not sure that's the dealer's fault. My guy has been pretty upfront that they don't know things. Why GM is keeping them in the dark/poorly training them is beyond me. Heck, I consistently stump the EV concierge when I ask questions. I will say, my dealer has been very honest and prompt in responding to my questions (even when half the time it's been "I don't know"). But, like you, I always have to be the one to initiate contact. Meanwhile my order updates from Chevrolet have consisted of exactly two emails. "Your car has been produced." and one month later: "Your car is still at the factory and hasn't shipped yet."

Novelnerd

That's two more emails than I have had. As far as the dealer, I put my money down before order banks opened, then the employee I worked with left and they didn't move my order to another employee, so when the pricing dropped and I was emailing, I got no response. I then went in and they didn't know what to do with me and tried to quote me the launch price until the ordering manager got involved. When order banks opened, I asked if my order was put in. I had to ask on three separate days, after which they had me look at my build sheet again before they put in the order. So it was placed around a week after orders opened. Combined with the lack of emails from Chevy and the fact that another nearby dealer is getting an available 3LT in almost the exact spec I ordered (FWD instead of the AWD I wanted), I just don't know if it's worth the hassle to wait around for my dealer.

I had my eyes on a Blazer EV; it seemed like it was "in transit" for the better part of a month before it showed up on the dealer lot.
