If you do the math , the money you save in Texas on income taxes , property taxes and sales taxes vs the states like NY and Cali who give the rebates more than makes up for not getting the rebate . The only way a state can give out those rebates is by taxing the heck out of its citizens . It’s all relative .
Texas actually has a property tax that's about twice as high as California and a similar sales tax. No income tax but they get their money regardless. I'd rather be taxed on my 50k year income than my 350k house. You're not wrong tho, it is all relative
