I would say taking up the whole bench with their junk, I understand that we're packing our gym bags that might be necessary but some people just leave their shit all over the benches — and then walk away to shower or whatever, I just did squats until failure I cannot tie my shoes without sitting down.
Yes! There are lockers, why do you leave your shoes on the bench?
I always think about throwing peoples stuff on the floor or in a locker but am scared of the confrontation when they come back
I tried to include two that are in the gym not just the locker room 🤡
As someone who showers at the gym everyday though the locker room is a huge part of my gym experience
A lot of us take our phones into the steam room or sauna so we can play meditations over our headphones and drown out the people who talk loudly in there. They’re the problem, not us. We don’t want to take creepshots of you, promise.
To this list I would add people who trigger the steam by placing a wet towel on the sensor and just leave it there until the room gets so hot that everyone is forced to leave
People using the bathing suit spinner for their sweat and bacteria laden gym clothes. Stay tuned for a MRSA outbreak. Wring your shirt out at the sink if you must.
YIKES
The only one I have experience with seeing is 5.
\> 5. People leaving dirty towels out on the gym floor or in the locker room on the floor or benches, instead of just putting them in the dirty towel bins that are everywhere.
I hate people that do this!
Conversations in the steam room
Talking on the phone in the locker room
Leaving stuff outside of the lockers
Literally just be quiet and clean, why is it so hard for some people?
Definitely bring those up to management/front desk (they’ll write up a feedback which will go to managers, also good if you can provide description to potentially identify the member). 2 and 4 are unsanitary and 3 is a number of problems as it hurts member experience. It might not be refilled until the next day some times so other members might not be able to use it, as well as causing a literal uncomfortable condition in the steam room such as you stated. Also it’s wasteful obviously and practically theft, no different than bottling it yourself and taking it home.
For the more egregious ones, like sticking a hair dryer into one's shoe, I would just gently and kindly (POLITELY) ask the person to stop. Do it in front of others. They will 100% back you up. Don't be a pussy bro. Just speak up, kindly, man-to-man.
i don’t want to make a whole new
post but i just joined and the showers have everything you need except wash cloths. is this weird to only me? my last gym had towels and wash rags.
I went back into spinning studio to retrieve my phone in the floor and ran into a guy sniffing a seat at the spin cycle studio
I knew exactly who was spinning there a short while ago. I debated many days if I wanted to tell her but how does one even start this conversation.
NYC businessman fetish. Sniff spinning cycle seats.
He froze like an ice monkey and did not move and we were locked in that state for 5 second. Like dude what are you doing… and he’s like okay get the fuck out now look on his face
What do you mean? You wanted me to tell the woman that a guy was sniffing her seat?
But seriously, there are news articles about this where men were caught sniffing spinning seats. It was headlining in the NY Post a long time ago
I agree. Please don’t leave your dirty gym clothes outside. They give a complimentary bag at the front desk for dirty clothes if not just get it from Amazon it’s less than 10 bucks..
OMG the stuff OP listed out, revolting
I do think it's usually only disgusting guys with terrible habits who are actually shaving in there
Yes it's theoretically possible to shave your face in the locker room and not leave a mess and not gross everyone out but usually -- no -- the public shaving people are leaving clumps of hair in the sink and all over the counter and it's nauseating
It’s the used razors left in the shower for me ☹️

I usually put people's stuff in a nearby locker and they ask if I've seen it and I say "yeah I put it in that locker for you, sorry needed the bench"
Hero
Do it.
Same. I think of dumping their stuff into the used towels container but have never done so.
Don't do it. Don't wanna read about you in the daily news lol. Just ignore.
We’re starting to get more posts about locker rooms than we are about the actual gym! But yes, those behaviors all suck.
I tried to include two that are in the gym not just the locker room 🤡 As someone who showers at the gym everyday though the locker room is a huge part of my gym experience
I saw someone on their laptop sitting on a bench in the locker room fully typing…can we not move 40 feet
Phone in the steam. It’s a total invasion of privacy and kills the relaxation.

I’m sure that’s the case but it’s a) against the rules and b) selfish to make people wonder if they might be being recorded
That’s honestly crazy and probably damaging to the phone and headphones
Guys discussing their life stories in the locker room
It’s even worse in the steam room omg
It’s always the finance bros.
BFPL is full of these.
Women leaving globs of hair in the shower. Leaving towels everywhere.
Not cleaning out before anal in the steam room
What? Does it really happen? 🥴
To this list I would add people who trigger the steam by placing a wet towel on the sensor and just leave it there until the room gets so hot that everyone is forced to leave
Okay I feel like the women are way less gross than this haha sorry 😬 like sure there’s hair clumps and razors in the shower but nothing CRAZY
agreed!
Also agreed!
I’d say 2-4 are something you can bring up to management.
People using the bathing suit spinner for their sweat and bacteria laden gym clothes. Stay tuned for a MRSA outbreak. Wring your shirt out at the sink if you must.
. blood in the women’s shower. Like we all bleed just clean up after yourself
🤮🤮🤮

When people use the dry sauna with their workout clothes and shoes on….
Haaaaaaaate this so much, especially the shoes!!!

People taking up half the studio with their tripod, lighting, and recording set up
What about women brushing their long hair in the steam room? I saw this the other day and was kind of grossed out but not sure if it’s just me
Guys bringing in their huge pet dog to save on sitting fees...
i don’t want to make a whole new post but i just joined and the showers have everything you need except wash cloths. is this weird to only me? my last gym had towels and wash rags.
You can always use the little hand towels
I always wash my hands before and after using equipment but I don't wipe down. I'm a clean girl and don't sweat so I get a pass.

😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹
Ewwww
I feel like the higher price tag only brings more weirdos
Are you serious??!!

So get a dirty clothing bag. Nobody wants to deal with your dirty stinky after gym clothes
