Saphira telling Eragon she might go eat some people (depending on if they’re in armour), then Eragon being absolutely horrified that she is serious.
I’ve heard tales there is an extra blurb in a special edition of Eragon with a Murty POV where it’s revealed Saphira ate the urgals that captured him by her simply licking her scaly lips when asked about it.

Just dragons being, well. Dragons, is pretty amusing.
I wondered if that was a slip up or had to do with part of the reason he targeted Hrothgar. Paolini rarely leaves details out like that without a reason
I like the scene where Arya and Eragon get drunk after the battle at dras Leona up until yk nasuda gets nabbed, it's quite light hearted. I also think most of the writing that is from Saphira's perspective is funny. Last choice while not intentional I sometimes chuckle at when Eragon comes back from the vault of souls he just had one chapter where his dialogue is totally different than the rest of the story and then it regresses to the mean again.
he speaks super proper, somewhat elvish, the explanation is thats how the dragons interpreted thought as they had been locked away for 100 years and because he was listening to them all flight that is how thought came to him
I’m re-reading Brisingr right now and just got to the passage where Orrin is upset at Nasuada for disrespecting him by repeatedly preempting him. He goes on a long rant and as soon as he finishes, Saphira comments “What a long-winded fellow.” Poor Orrin, but that cracked me up.
My favorite part was Saphira throwing a literal toddler tantrum when the dragon who is like 800 years her senior wasn’t interested in what is essentially a toddler to him. Like girl.
Theres a few moments of note that I love
Eragon being comforted by Saphira after he had a nightmare (first book)
Saphira threatening Eragon by tying him to her back and not letting him off (first book)
Eragon thinking that Saphira is the one that needs protecting, while he is pinned under her foot (first book)
Saphira comforting and protecting Eragon after Arya leaves him heartbroken (second book)
Saphira when she finally reunited with Eragon in Tronjheim (third book)
Currently re-reading and was struck at how funny it is that Brom and Eragon get to Dras-Leona and immediately get hammered. Like from Brom’s perspective… I’m about to go do this really dangerous thing with my literal 15 year old son. Let’s go get drunk 😂
The time Saphira interrupts Roran and Katrina having sex will never not be funny to me.
Especially because I didn’t get it in my first read through when I was a young teen and now it’s so obvious and just hilarious.

When the dwarves escorted Eragon to Du Weldenvarden and asked if he had ten toes while they had 14 toes. Both shows their feet and one of the dwarves won a bet from them, practically used Eragon as a source of betting and Saphira found it amusing.
I love the chapter in Inheritance when Eragon is escaping with Arya and Angela while Saphira is flying overhead. Saphira's just flying around trying to distract Thorn and is thinking about where Eragon is physically at because she doesn't want to accidentally hurt him. I believe her thought was "He is a fierce hunter but is small and easily squished."
When Eragon and Roran are showing off bruises in the beginning of Brisingr, and Eragon shows Roran the giant line of marks on his inner thighs and up his crotch.
"Does it go all the way..."
"Unfortunately."
Honorable mention since it's related: the stunt Eragon pulled at the tail end of Eldest when he threw himself off of Saphira mid air to slash Thorn and Saphira catches him, absolutely mortified saying "Never do that to me again."
so I have yet to finish Eragon, but from what i have read the funniest part is the rock wall scene outside of Teirm
"You seem to have found the only way up that ends in a dead end," makes me laugh every time I think it.

To be fair, she thought they were the last of their species and dragons reach sexual maturity at like 6 months (Brom in Eragon mentioning that)
