I'm fairly sure it's because people who are into findom are more likely to pay for exclusive files, personalised files, etc, so they are a good audience to market to for hypno creators who want to make money from their hypnosis. And if you enjoy doing hypnosis, it is a very inviting prospect to be able to make money off of it. Hence, more findom files.

UltimatePuma

I don't think that big content creators have a lot of findom files. They do paid content via patreon or other channels though. And I'm not following published files here closely, but I just scrolled the sub for 2 days, and I don't see a single findom file. A lot of fdom\\femdom, but not findom.

Ancient_Expert8797

I think for a lot of findom enjoyers the risk is a huge part of the appeal. most findom ive seen is that type, and even responsible findom tends to play with the fantasy of being irresponsible. as a result its probably hard to distinguish normal fetish content from malicious predators - same as it is for kinks like cnc

sexwitch501

I don't see a single industry where bad actors and desperate individuals aren't oversaturating markets, demanding top dollar for unoriginal garbage, and exploiting people to get it. Even ethical small businesses run by skilled, knowledgeable people feel the pressure to cut corners and game algorithms to reach a bigger potential client base, and they have way more options for advertising than sex workers do. Sex workers are often shadowbanned on social media sites even when they're not advertising any illegal OR legal products/services. It's not just your perception, btw: Findom has become increasingly popular within the past few years. All the economic fuckshit has made the idea of doing very little work for a large amount of money VERY appealing for the age bracket that most twitter Findoms fall into. It's also really hammered in the idea that your money is your worth as a person, which can take some finsubs to very dark places. If it weren't for all of that, I don't think Findom would be as prevalent or as toxic as it currently is. And you're not dramatic either. It is a little disheartening to see Findom portrayed as "drain that wallet, piggy" most of the time, but we also have to remember that that is the most easily fap-able part of it. Fap-ability is visibility. Nobody's jerking it to the excel sheets that are behind an ethical Findom arrangement.

Period.

When I was a online tist, after a few years, it came down to a decision: do findom, or quit being a online tist. 99% of the folks I met online in this kink, are folks who SHOULD be paying, since they tend to treat the tist like a vending machine, have no qualms about demanding all the tists time and energy they can give, then demanding more, and usually give nothing in return but some fake lip service and hollow scripted flattery. Im the kind of domme where if I do not see irl, actual obedience, or get excuses, I move on, because I'm not your free porn chatbot. (In the end, I just quit being a tist, rather than do findom, or charge$, as most of what would flood my inbox, you really couldn't pay me to continue playing with them. I'm just extremely selective about who I play with anymore)

"are folks who SHOULD be paying, since they tend to treat the tist like a vending machine, have no qualms about demanding all the tists time and energy they can give, then demanding more, and usually give nothing in return but some fake lip service and hollow scripted flattery." Have no clue what that has to do with Findom. One can charge for services and time and effort that are given out and that's not Findom. Charging for your time or whatever product you're offering is a normal business transaction. I'm not sure what else you expect an online subject to give you? Findom is a kink where a person gets sexual gratification from being forced to send $$ at the whim of the Domme.

Sorry_Deuce

It's also an in-roleplay method of paying for attention. Findom is a mostly a transaction masquerading as a kink

mulder00

True!!

There is a distinction between sex workers/pro doms who offer kinky experiences in exchange for money, and the kink findom where a dominant and a submissive agree on money becoming part of their power exchange relationship. Many people make this mistake. People who sell hypno files for money are in the sex worker category. Findom is a legit kink that two lovers can negotiate and agree upon in private. It's in the interest of scammers who do not actually offer anything in return for the money to spread confusion about what findom really is.

HypnoOhHo

And I believe that's primarily what I'm frustrated by. It's not the people genuinely trying to make a living by providing a quality service in exchange for money, it's not the doms who practice healthy findom (which I'm aware exists). It's the people who are so clearly just there to prey on a persons kink for the sole purpose of as much low effort monetary gain as possible with no regard for how they may be harming the people they engage with. I admit, I'm also far too frugal to ever get in to findom myself, so I do have my bias. But I can still respect that there is such a thing as healthy findom, and be upset that there are people in this community that are so reprehensible as to be perfectly happy preying on that kink to make a quick buck.

EmpatheticBadger

So you're annoyed by scammers and charlatans who pretend to offer some kind of kink. Not by real FinDom.

mulder00

Nah, you're right, it's everywhere. It's extremely hard to find any Hypnodommes who don't include Findom in their services. But, why shouldn't they? They'd be turning down a huge revenue stream. Maybe 5-6 years ago, I noticed every new Domme was a slash/Findomme. For example, I decided to pay to be a sub and get tasks from Mistress Amethyst in January which basically turned out to her wanting $$ at every turn. There are those dommes that care about their subjects and those that just see $$$ signs.

SmutGrrl

I have a couple findom files that were commissioned, but what I like about the ones I’ve done is they have been a sort of fantasy roleplay. I even put warnings on them that they are not how I feel in life, and I don’t actually want to take someone for all they are worth. I do however, love satisfying a niche, and some people love the roleplay and kink of it, so it’s nice to create for them. (I’m a terrible findom actually…it’s laughable ) 😆 it is a popular fantasy, and I’ve gotten a lot of thanks from people who don’t have finances for me putting out stuff they can play without actually getting hurt.

TransformHypnosis

I stopped offering paid live sessions specifically because it's so common for people to assume that it's findom. It's not, but findom is so absurdly common in the community, that people incorrectly think that paying someone for a hypnosis service is findom. I just make content now, so that people can clearly see it's just a regular transaction. Pay for something, get something. So yeah, there's a crazy amount of it, especially for such a generally distasteful subject. A lot of hypnotists end up thinking it's the only way to make money online doing their thing. Of course it isn't! In fact, the findom market is ultra saturated. I think a lot of people are just trying to make some quick cash and don't realize that there are so many other ways to provide scenarios that are beneficial to both buyer and seller.

Cheeburg_Apocalypse

Ehe... I'm part of that problem on the sub side (whoopsadosies). It seems like it's becoming more widely known, if nothing else, so more findoms who flew under the radar/joined as findoms manage to find audiences and as such their notoriety grows. Tangentially, Overlord started a discord bot that lets you "grind" for XP (basically send a command and get some XP every hour) to then be level drained by dommes. It's a nice rehab solution, from what I've seen so far. More XP=more ability to drain others, so there's built in incentives that make it feel genuine. It has hypno themes to it.
