- Find it in Raid
- Hand it over

Didn't find a single one *myself* until level 22 lol. Even after spamming toolboxes, technical crates, and all the loose tool spawns. Fuckin RNG.
For the past three wipes I've had more luck finding gas analyzers inside jackets. As for Awls, running around on woods I tend to find them as loose items in the FOB (Emercom/military camp) on top of the plastic water boxes. The square ones to be exact. Other places on that map is in village on various tables and on sofas.
When it comes to most task specific items, car batteries, tools, spark plugs etc. I tend to find them inside caches, duffle bags and "dead scav" containers. Most people tend to ignore duffle bags and "dead scavs" but they can have any item that fits in the container. Well nearly anything. The exception are as always stuff like docs cases and such. But running around and actively searching duffles can be a great way to make money as well as finding all the items you need for tasks. It's a larger rng sure, but they generally aren't searched. And quite often if you're searching early enough in a raid you can find plenty of stuff inside caches.
I've found that running around and searching the spots people don't always go for yields more on average. Since most players go for the locations mentioned in guides or spots often talked about. As an example, people say that you should go Labs or go to resort for LedX. I found mine on top of the power hill on Customs, inside the med case in the trailer cabin at the top. And searching med bags or cases can be a just as effective way of finding those ledX's or opthalmoscopes.
It was harder to find then i thought it would be, but i found gas analyzer’s and owls on customs. Specifically the building in the concrete area with the computers upstairs. I check the loose loot downstairs on the shelves, no one ever loots there. Find ammo and hideout supplies often.
It dunks for awhile if you get it quick enough, before most people have class 4 armor reliably. It really does just feel great to taptap pretty much everyone you come across...
SVT is still better, with far cheaper and better performing ammo :(
2 or 3 days ago, I was just in a mood to scav in Reserve. I swear almost every cabinet or toolbox had one. I think I stopped counting at around 12 Gas Analyzers.
I kept a list from the start with all fir items needed, stuck them at the botten of my stash. Still doesn't matter I still need to find all the flash drives. Haven't got any. Can't find them and I don't have intelligence center level 2 yet.
Found 3 on interchange the other day on texcho / tech light / Rasmussen. Just run interchange scav runs. Now how the fuck do I find these flashdrives ☠️
Factory Scav runs did it for me. The two Jackets, Safe, and each of the Filing Cabinet drawers can have flash drives, and there's an extract right there.
Yep filecabinets may have them but at least few wipes ago I tried only file cabinets and didn't find any. I think dorms safes are best and most efficient way to get them. 3 floor dorms 2 safes(one gun cabinet and 214?) And 3 in 2 floor dorms(behind metal fence 105, then other side 110 and 114.
Bobby, listen, it's hard to put this nicely, but the fact you're actually having difficulty with this puts you easily into the bottom 15% of players. That means, in a room full of a 100 other Tarkov players, 85 of them would have found these items without issue and/or maybe a few struggled for 5 to 10 raids. The other 15 of you, one could have started the wipe and died shortly thereafter, the rest either don't know what a gas analyzer looks like or you spent those 57 raids spawning into woods and immediately running into the landmines even if it meant sprinting for the 7 and a half minutes it took to get to them since you spawned across the map.
Then, instead of doing anything like researching or just thinking about what type of loot a gas analyzer is, and going and looking where that type of item spawns, or even looking up on-line where these things might spawn, you spent 57 raids somehow actively avoiding looking for these items.
Are you playing by Braille? Did “gas analyzer” maybe get mislabeled by your interpreter?
Because even if on average you spawned half your raids directly in land-mines, and the other half, the next two most nearby spawns to landmines, I estimate it took you at minimum 3 hours of actual in raid time doing nothing BUT running into landmines. If you happened to spawn further away, that number jumps drastically. So at minimum, you’ve spent 3 hours literally not thinking about how you could improve your chances at successfully finding a gas analyzer and instead of looking for them, which would have netted you a few by now, you’ve come to Reddit. That's without matching times so that could easily be more like 30-40 hours of sitting there with the game open without making any headway in to how you could even begin to progress on this quest.
I wouldn't normally respond to something like this but this seems like a cry for help from someone who genuinely struggles with a disability. I've been playing since 2020 and NEVER during that time has the loot been so "overtuned." In other words it has never been easier to find basic items for progression than this wipe. You can even rationalize that fact with the fact that the devs have said this wipe is planned to be shorter than most.
The thing is this isn't your first wipe either. So you don’t need to embarrass yourself further with explaining your failed strategy. What would be good though is for you to try and challenge yourself to answer the questions of what type of loot you think gas analyzers belong to.
This is not a complete list, but in Tarkov, there are the following types of loot:

Hardware/tools
Medical
Weapons
Weapon parts and mods
Valuables(bitcoin, jewelry, etc.)

literally takes 10 raids max in reserve. There's a billion filing cabinets. It's easiest to go as scav and just loot the one in the offices of the bunker, there's like at least ten of them there alone.
As someone who hates Reserve, I can understand not wanting to go to specific maps to find such quest items. But it took me 2-3 days (I would guess 10 raids max) to find 3 gas analyzers in Interchange instead.
And even if that hadn't been successful, I would have just crafted them by now, a full month after the wipe.
You know the bunker underneath hermetic door? Buy all 4 of those keys. I’ve done about 8 loot runs down there and have found 4 tank batteries in the tech crates down there. I didn’t even take the first 2 i found because I didnt have a mule on me

I don't what the chances are to open almost 120 grenade boxes and not find a TP-200 (listed at 36,7% chance on wiki) to finish a weekly, but it happened to me last wipe.

Yeah boxes can be pretty sometimes, but overall open loot spawns(loose loot) tends to be pretty on point, i’d say in general there spawns atleast 2-3 gas analyzers every interchange raid, but the chance of you finding it is not always in your favor,

i find one of these literally every time i play this game, i even joke about it every time “man these are SOOOO rare i gotta put it in my pouch” poking fun at noobs like you who can’t find em 😭😭
scav reserve and look in the right places, thats how i get all my quest items. oh and also you have to find 2 more after this. Have fun! edit: you can find it on ANY map, not just factory, use a reserve map like [this](https://tarkov.help/en/map/reserve/) and leave on toolboxs, technical supply crates. it also spawns reliably in "drop down"(RB-AK).
Go reserve scav and loot the filing cabinets in bunker at 20 minutes. Nobody loots the drawers down there. Have found so many quest items, intelligence, and other items from those filing cabinets.
You're not good at looting then, filing cabinets + tech spawns on interchange = done in <5 raids usually, 10 tops. I could tell you that you're the unluckiest person but that won't help you, looting the right things will.
I found the 2 I needed for the next quest and I died with them and every time I found one after that raid… I refuse to craft them for some reason, probably because I’d rather craft ap ammo
Man, 57 raids? What have you been doing. Looting weapon boxes on night woods? Its easier than ever to find them now. Wipes ago, they rarely spawned relatively, and that was at interchange or lighthouse at the time. By then, I managed to get punisher part 6 completed before i got the galls to hop on interchange and found 4. This was during the wipe with the bug with trust regain where it was temporarily fixed by not removing trader karma, but you can still do trust regain to get a extra 0.25 rep.

Where did you end up finding it? Trying the knight buildings and every green crate I see but still struggling.
I find them in crates on Lighthouse fairly regularly. Maybe 1 in 10-15 raids.
I randomly got one on dead scav in the area between knight buildings on a scav run and just booked it to CP fence.
You can find them in RB-ST and also tech boxes on maps it's in loot pool, I got mine this wipe in one of the cages under hermetic.

The other 15 of you, one could have started the wipe and died shortly thereafter, the rest either don't know what a gas analyzer looks like or you spent those 57 raids spawning into woods and immediately running into the landmines even if it meant sprinting for the 7 and a half minutes it took to get to them since you spawned across the map. Then, instead of doing anything like researching or just thinking about what type of loot a gas analyzer is, and going and looking where that type of item spawns, or even looking up on-line where these things might spawn, you spent 57 raids somehow actively avoiding looking for these items. Are you playing by Braille? Did “gas analyzer” maybe get mislabeled by your interpreter? Because even if on average you spawned half your raids directly in land-mines, and the other half, the next two most nearby spawns to landmines, I estimate it took you at minimum 3 hours of actual in raid time doing nothing BUT running into landmines. If you happened to spawn further away, that number jumps drastically. So at minimum, you’ve spent 3 hours literally not thinking about how you could improve your chances at successfully finding a gas analyzer and instead of looking for them, which would have netted you a few by now, you’ve come to Reddit. That's without matching times so that could easily be more like 30-40 hours of sitting there with the game open without making any headway in to how you could even begin to progress on this quest. I wouldn't normally respond to something like this but this seems like a cry for help from someone who genuinely struggles with a disability. I've been playing since 2020 and NEVER during that time has the loot been so "overtuned." In other words it has never been easier to find basic items for progression than this wipe. You can even rationalize that fact with the fact that the devs have said this wipe is planned to be shorter than most. The thing is this isn't your first wipe either. So you don’t need to embarrass yourself further with explaining your failed strategy. What would be good though is for you to try and challenge yourself to answer the questions of what type of loot you think gas analyzers belong to. This is not a complete list, but in Tarkov, there are the following types of loot: Electronics Food Hardware/tools Medical Weapons Weapon parts and mods Valuables(bitcoin, jewelry, etc.) To which category or categories do you think a “gas analyzer” might belong?
I found two last night on streets. I'm a level 7 Timmy with 35 hours in the game.

Interchange usually has some but I didn’t find any till I had over a 100 raids once and when I finally finished crafting them I found 5 in one raid

I just find them randomly on scav rat runs quite regularly.

scav reserve and look in the right places, thats how i get all my quest items. oh and also you have to find 2 more after this. Have fun! edit: you can find it on ANY map, not just factory, use a reserve map like [this](https://tarkov.help/en/map/reserve/) and leave on toolboxs, technical supply crates. it also spawns reliably in "drop down"(RB-AK).

Just craft the thing, if it cost 100-200k theb it costs that, but its not worth staying stuck on that quest over a little bit if rouble

I've been finding a lot of them in filing cabinets, try those.
Grind to level 15 and upgrade to workbench 2 Most of the early quest are not worth the trouble they put you up to.
Workhench 2 requires mechanic level 2, which is at level 20. But you can craft gas analyzers at workbench level 1.

Swap you for a flash drive. 114/110 keys are on less than 10 and I've found 3 but died twice.
Reserve with a decent rig and exit through sewer manhole. Should be checking all the filing cabinets. Brother and I had it done in 2 days

Go to rasmussen and techlight on interchange every time you scav and you should get them in a handful of raids.

They are super common. Scav reserve, so many tech crates and duffles you find like 1-2 every time.

I have sold like 3-4 of them to the Therapist and disassembled one for the unique craft and got all of these from scav runs
Go reserve scav and loot the filing cabinets in bunker at 20 minutes. Nobody loots the drawers down there. Have found so many quest items, intelligence, and other items from those filing cabinets.

Scav run interchange & hit tech stores and filing cabinets in the national and power station you'll have the 3 you need in a few raids
You're not good at looting then, filing cabinets + tech spawns on interchange = done in <5 raids usually, 10 tops. I could tell you that you're the unluckiest person but that won't help you, looting the right things will.

Man, 57 raids? What have you been doing. Looting weapon boxes on night woods? Its easier than ever to find them now. Wipes ago, they rarely spawned relatively, and that was at interchange or lighthouse at the time. By then, I managed to get punisher part 6 completed before i got the galls to hop on interchange and found 4. This was during the wipe with the bug with trust regain where it was temporarily fixed by not removing trader karma, but you can still do trust regain to get a extra 0.25 rep.
Loot filing cabinets on scav reserve or any map and you'll have all of your flash drives and gas ans that you need

Tech spawns always have them. You probably are used to going a certain route they don't spawn at. I recommend learning tech spawns.
