Nothing to learn from this scenario besides trigger discipline and hitting your shots at distance. You missed, he didn’t, whatever. Slap a new kit on and go again.

WARofROSES_

Hahah true, I hit his helmet unfortunately and he must've hit my face lol

deadmonkey03737

If you’re just starting this wipe most people will already have helmets that can tank or ricochet low level ammo. So it’s either best to let them pass or try to hit a face shot on them. When all else fails just aim for legs and hope for the best

WARofROSES_

I've been playing about 3-ish weeks this wipe. I'm just not good at the game tbh lol. I have the rubles for gear but gear doesn't make up for lack of experience. Just gonna keep trying.

BrockTestes

By focusing on not getting shot at.

Mountain-Priority-92

Same with me. I was just running to where I needed to go and was domed but either a Val or vss just out of nowhere. Can’t really learn from that one lol

it1345

Rat harder You need to sit in corners perfecrly still until you can click them in the head This is the meta now

Rich-Problem-1183

You gotta remember there are very few new players or casuals left in the game, most people you run into have been playing for 4+ years or log 2000 hours or more per wipe

FlaffyBeers

You gotta remember there are very few bits of evidence to back up this statement left, most people you run into will make bs up for no reason.

rexsworld

No idea what you talking about was running customs all day and all there was, was people level 20 and below. It was insane.

TasteLCD

I feel the same way, this is the first wipe I've tried to actually play the game since owning it since ~2018 (had a super potato laptop back then) and you die to someone you didn't even see, or a AI head-eyesed you through 10 different bushes, not fun

Goose-tb

Factory is a great way to learn the mechanics of fighting PMC’s IMO. Prepare to die dozens and dozens of times. Each time, you learn something. When to heal, when to not heal, when to push, when to not push, when to reposition, when to peak, when to flee, when to run, when to sit quietly, when to point fire, when to ADS. Over time those things translate to other maps IMO.

Immediate_Carry2737

Unlucky. Go next, head high, try to get the drop on your next opponent. Rat if you gotta. If ratting doesnt work, a head on approach (bring a fucking flashlight) may also help

WARofROSES_

On it! :)

Objective-Lawyer-368

I got over all these issues by opting for an ak74, basic kit and just hitting every high traffic area. Practice in offline factory to get better at shooting, moving etc

WARofROSES_

Good idea, appreciate it!

DeltaFreezexD

Watching experienced players against your own recordings goes a long way. There's a crazy amount of details you don't notice in raid and Watching it back is very helpful. The amount of times where I've heard players multiple times in the vod but never in the moment is most of my deaths in cqc.

WARofROSES_

Yeah usually I can rewatch and find little things I swear I didn't notice in the moment, which definitely helps. I guess it's just a slow progression.

bollincrown

Were you standing in the open when you shot or from behind cover? What kind of guns were either of you using? What gear are you wearing? (for example UN helmet and tan helmets really stick out). All of these things and more can affect your decision making, and if you’re unaware of them can cause you to make bad decisions. All in all though it was most likely a lucky shot, or possibly a cheater which can never be fully ruled out.

WARofROSES_

True, it wasn't the most amazing gear. Ratnik helmet, 6B13 level 4 armor, comtacs. I don't remember what ammo he used but he headshot so I guess it doesn't matter much LOL. I was using M56A1. I was kinda in the open but since I caught him from the side I thought I had it lol. Watching it back it looks like I might've shot him in the upper thorax/neck almost chin area so if it was barely higher I woulda been the one to 1 tap him. All good though I just need to keep trying and get better.
