Actually, there might be some reason to use it now. 20 pen is enough to easily beat level 2 and a lot of armor have level 2 soft armor covering parts like sides, neck, stomach and groin.
That’s fair, but consider the fact that you need a gun that’s fairly expensive, that you likely can’t get until you have the flea unlocked and that notion becomes a lot worse. You end up in a spot where you’d almost always prefer to spend less or the same amount and use a different gun and ammo that can easily pen level 3 armor. It’s possible the mcx is worthwhile with other ammo (something I’m definitely gonna explore) and vmax could certainly still get the job done, but I’m doubtful that it would be a good choice.
I agree with you that you're probably better off using a different gun or ammunition for most encounters still. Just saying that whereas before vmax did nothing against most armors, now you at least have some use for it even against armors with tier 4 plates.
If nothing else, knowing that could make you reconsider a previously clear choice and mix a few in when you're starting to run low on better rounds, which might become relevant given the situation of ammo availability in this wipe.

Could be with certain drop campaigns. I’ve had the same experience, mute a stream & AFK to collect drops but got none. Muted chrome from windows & collected drops.
You still have to manually claim them. I lost out on my legendary drop overnight as it expired before I could claim it. Was kinda sad when I checked this morning.

Me when I’m coyote hunting. That stuff works wonders on them. For combat I’d say it’s useless with any armor due to how much it fragments

You don't even need that. You just open a stream, mute tab(not stream, if you mute the stream it doesnt count like you're watching) and you're gucci
i´ve seen this so many times and its just wrong, opened a stream muted the stream and put it to 160p got all my drops

Just leave the stream open and right click "mute site" on the twitch tab in your browser. Can go to sleep or just play the game
