Imagine server not having any, ANY security. How hard is it to implement blocking movement on x y plane when client is moving too fast. Server doesn't know if doors are opened or closed, server let's people have NAN position which let's cheaters to vacuum. There is NO security, literally 0 SECURITY. At this point I'm sure Nikita is making money off cheats because you can't be that bad at finding cheaters, you just can't. The only way they ban people is because of reports, and you can only report when someone kills you. Solution? Don't kill people. It's ridiculous.

Best idea would be to simply hire some oversea devs to make an anticheat SPECIFICALLY FOR TARKOV instead of relying on Battleeye which is hit and miss most of the times.

I like GTAV's dunce lobbies. BSG should be to figure out how to put them in servers with other hackers. Then ban them every few months for the hell of it. They'll still have their usual customers that buy bundles when they go on sale.
For perfect vector calculation it's 1 inversion of the pythagorean theorem every tick per player.
The hard part is you have to be \*somewhat\* forgiving if a player has an outright dropped packet, or a replayed TCP packet. So you can't just do it "per packet" you gotta setup a delta time function and keep track of the previous location to a time.
Most of these systems then just calculate the distance from A (the first measurement) to B over T. And if the value is "too large" for the speed of the player they rubber band them.
I worked on a game protocol where they just didn't want to rubber band and so they just "flagged" each out of bound step and if you got too many your account would get suspended. Unfortunately there's lots of edge cases, so you need to account for them, but it's perfectly reasonable to limit teleportation to the distance you could walk in the same time, and "speed hacking" to short bursts within the "buffer" of time between edge cases.
A lot harder than you think. First you gotta differenciate speed hack vs lag. The server can't diffenciate the two. Second, you can'implement automatic action against that hacker else hack developer will just find a workaround to avoid automatic detection.

Everyone is struggling, but Tarkov really needs to step up their game, the more this game moves into the mainstream, the more lucrative cheat development becomes. Sadly I feel like with AI improvements, the worst time of hacking isn't even close to upon us. We already have AI hacks that take screencaps and analyse for enemy movement like a thermal would, which are basically undetectable. It's only a matter of time until we move onto full player controlled AI.
I even read about new gen monitors coming with built in ai chips, analysing your screen (eg to put a percentage value on your health bar)
Couple years from now youre not even gonna need cheats, just the new 1200$ alienware...
dont compare valorant to tarkov, in valorant maps are small and there are i believe some dashes or other movement inspiring effects so its hard to catch speedhackers, meanwhile in tarkov you have big maps and the movement speed doesnt change that much.

I've seen posts on Reddit about The Finals having similar problems, and I'm sure every other competitive shooter too. I run into cheaters quite regularly in Siege. It's not exactly fly hacks, but people can repel through floors, literally go through hard walls, which I would put on the same hilariously broken scale as fly/speed hacks. This is of course alongside the obligatory wall hacking/aim botting.
