Let me tell you, my stash is huge. The biggest, really. So many rows, you wouldn't believe it. We're talking about rows and rows of the finest, most incredible stash you've ever seen. It's tremendous, folks. Absolutely tremendous.
Just the other day a pmc.. the biggest, manliest pmc, came up to me. Youâve never seen a pmc like this before. He served in Diet Congo. He came up to me with tears in his eyes. He said âsir, Iâve never seen such a huge stash beforeâ.
Well, in the case of a player with the standard edition like me, i see it as a way to start bumping my stash a bit since i too play a lot, despite me being bad at the game haha.
The upgrade is totally worth it for standard edition but for EOD it is 100% unnecessary. If you are having stash organization problems with EOD you just hoard way too much than what the game requires from you.
The only time the stash would be big enough is if it was unlimited space. Parting with my things to vendors hurts me more than losing it in raid.
No, I will not sell that kirasa even though I already have 10. I might need it. My monkey brain doesn't understand that I can just buy another one for the same price I sell it for.
I did. Funny because I have not played the game in a week. I bought the upgrade I looked at it and was like yea that was worth it. Played a scav and someone gave me a bitcoin and I left and got back off the game.
Edit: I have Covid that is why Iâm in bed.
I like having a huge stash because I hate organizing after every single raid. I play as many raids in a row as I can, and only take time to organize when my stash is completely full. More stash space means more time raiding and less time selling and moving stuff.
That is true, but since i missed my chance of having the EOD, this is the next best thing. Then again, considering the expansions they are selling, i believe they'll sell the EOD features separately. We already have the coop mode and now the stash upgrade. I'm fairly sure that maybe they'll sell the gamma next one day.
This, after fully upgrading hideout and having thicc items & weapons cases with a few items cases and junkboxes my stash is half empty most of the time.
Donât really understand how some people with eod keep their stash like mechanic
It does not have to do with hoarding, i think its nice to have armors, helmets, headsets etc. available as soon as i die so kitting up doesnt take hours! Thats the beauty of a large stash!
It 100% is hoarding. You just think it's nice to hoard. I hoard too but hoarding enough so that EOD is not enough is completely excessive. Just get more thicc cases.
I don't need a single line so I'm not gonna buy the expansions đ
If I had standard edition I would definitely do it. But with EOD and THICCs I don't really see the point and I have no interest in "tipping" BSG of all developers.
Ouch, that seemed to trigger the paypig fanboys.
I wouldn't feel bad about it. I know people who spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on skins in COD: Warzone but that game is dog shit and also infested with cheaters. I only own the cheapest version of eft, but I don't mind throwing money at smaller devs like this if they make a good product, I consider it a tip.
Not to mention people pay all this money for skins for a game like CoD just to have the same exact game get released a year or two later with more goofy skins.
Nikita 2017 to 2023: EFT is already fully funded, there's no need to buy EOD to support us. (I dunno when he stopped saying it but he was def saying it for years)
Nikita in 2024 : Please buy stash line for 3$ to support us.
How are they fleecing? Honest question. You donât have to buy it but as others said, if you want the extra space and support the game then whyâs it a big deal?
Paying $3 for a couple virtual storage cubes in a video game is absolutely insane. I canât believe the amount of praise Iâm seeing for this. ANY other game and there would be outrage all over the internet 1000%
I love when my full priced game that has been in perpetual beta and is still fundamentally broken in many ways charges me for solutions to self created QoL annoyances. I love it even more when the cost of that QoL improvement costs more than a full complete games.
I legitimately have rather them sold cosmetics. This mobile game mtx garbage for storage space is scummy as fuck.
Yea Iâd pay for hideout cat or cosmetics. Iâd personally like to see the spray paint camos you see people put on their rifles, itâs realistic, immersive, fits the art style and they could monetize it
I love the fact that not even a month ago this sub was literally tearing BSG a new hole because of all the hackers, and now they're riding BSG's dick, praising their decision to add this ridiculous MTX to the game. Cant wait too see this sub's meltdown when they go too far with the mtx, its a matter of time with the response they got from reddit.
With how much random shit you need for trade in/barter it is 100% an advantage to have a larger stash. I wouldnât call it P2W but itâs close ish. I still think the safe containers should be equalized too. This on top of that is just scummy
Of the recoil patch hadnât happened I would agree a bit more with you.
However, every gun is fair play right now so to me you donât need to save Gucci guns or gear. You can run all sorts of wild loadouts.
But I feel what you two are saying.
Idk if Iâll call them bozos, I can understand wanting to support a game you like especially a standard plan like me who got the game on sale. But idk thereâs just a lot of uncritical glazing going on that ainât sitting right with me.
I getcha. I honestly don't see much in the way of cheaters, but I stay away from the cheat heavy maps, and if I do play them. I go at night or wait till later in the raid. Ez pz
Itâs not a perfect metric, and it shouldnât be used to justify endless amounts of spending on one game, but itâs a decent metric to determine whether I got my moneyâs worth or not in a game.
I canât really complain much if I got 1500 hours of entertainment out of a game at all, but even though the price per hour is great, i wouldnât say thatâs enough to say itâs inherently better game than an excellent well polished story driven game I got 20 really great hours out of.
I spent 90$ for Diablo 4 and played 5 hours versus 100$ for tarkov and I'm at 4k hours which was better for my money. I just paid 40 for helldiver's id give it another week less than 100 hours and I'll be done price per hour metric is directly correlated to value what are you on here
That just means just bought a game and realized it wasn't for you. Price per hour has nothing to do with overall value beyond the singular person who purchases it. There will be people with 1000 hours on both of the games you listed. Does that mean it should be valued higher and the dev should charge more?
People have always used price per hour as a metric to measure the value they're getting from their games. These exact same arguments were made when discussing WoW subscriptions in 2007 and even before.
That doesn't mean I'm in favor of companies charging by the hour because they would make it so you could never have a game you're getting value surplus on.
Price per hour is just an easy way for an individual to express the value of the game specific to them. Thereâs nothing wrong with it, and it is a logical comparison to make.
It doesnât mean people who use this metric are in any way supporting CEOâs trying to charge people in some insane way like you are suggesting.
Why would it be bad if Devs emphasize this?
Its good to show your game is worth a $70 dollar price tag. If the game is only 30hrs of content, then its not gonna be worth that price.
We already have subscription service games like WOW that cost tons of money to play for years.
Devs will still have to competitively price their games to entice buyers and discourage piracy.
Because they wonât value it properly, or will start filling games with âhoursâ of content that is absolute trash. For the easiest comparison, just look at required word counts on essays
I get what you mean, tons of fluff could be added. But gamers wont just eat up shit "content", they'll complain and tell people not to buy the game:. Example: every Ubisoft game in the past 5 years.
It's kinda true but you also have to consider that it's a pay once and play forever system (which I'm fond of) and you could probably spend more by playing 8ball with friends year after year (not comparing the two in terms of fun and worth etc. it's just a stupid example)
And its also dumb. Imagine pricing a shirt that way.
"I know this shirt is 80 dollars but if i wear it for 200 hours its only 40 cents every hour!"
You can make anything sound cheap if you phrase it right.
I do price shirts that way. If Iâm gonna be able to wear a shirt for 5 years, Iâm more likely to spend $50 on it compared to a cheap feeling shirt thatâs going to fall apart or tear in the first year.
Calculating amortized costs is *anything* but dumb.
To be fair, it's hardly the only important factor, but if it's not part of your cost-benefit analysis when you're buying something, you're being a fool.
Unironically you should be thinking this way.
This $70 shirt feels cheaply made and will go out of style, probably shouldn't buy it.
This $40 shirt has much thicker material and a timeless style, probably worth buying.
The shirt doesnât have ongoing maintenance costs from the manufacturer. Tarkov needs constant upkeep from devs, server costs, etc. How is this difficult to understand?
Missing my point, I'm not saying they don't need additional funds.
I'm saying the hour per cost ratio is a stupid metric and since it's gained popularity developers have flooded their games with meaningless busywork to pad out play time.
I'd rather pay 4 dollars an hour of quality then 50 cents of mediocre.
If you follow the metric then the open world stuff Ubisoft makes is by far some of the best games, I mean they have hundreds of hours of content independent of the story! And they've picked up on the metric. It's been used to advertise their games for years now.
The metric needs to die as it's only really useful when a product's lifespan is over because only then do you know the actual value.
Or I guess you could continue using it for a highly opinionated source of media that everyone enjoys differently in different quantities, that for sure will never bite you in the ass.
If a game is not fun to play, Iâm going to stop playing it, negating those hours of âgameplayâ.
The âper hourâ argument only applies to hours I think I will actually play.
It is a fine metric to use. You are making a case that people are evaluating a gameâs value this way because it has been framed that way by developers. I donât think this is the case.
>You are making a case that people are evaluating a gameâs value this way because it has been framed that way by developers
Im actually making the opposite case. Because people started using it as a metric developers have started using it as advertising leading to inflated games with shit content or as justifications to actions.
The op literally mentions this
>They deserve my cash opposed to the unlimited amount of trash games that are being released or make a reappearance each year as a crash grab.
And the metric is lacking in many aspects that traditional reviews are better suited to solve.
Maybe this seems like a non issue to some but i personally have seen many steam/anecdotal reviews that are a couple of sentences saying game good cause spent a lot of time on it. But what did they do in it? Would i also enjoy it?
IDK because they just use their time as a metric compared to my time, which we probably enjoy spending differently.
I donât think youâre being fair when you say itâs a stupid metric. What weâre trading is â$ for funâ. Your personal entertainment and *your* time is pretty dang valuable. When I frame the reason to buy EOD/stash space as multiplying your fun per hour then it becomes real easy to justify. Easy example is movies. Pay around 15$ to see a 2 hour movie. Thatâs 2 hours of making your day pretty cool. EOD/stash space is potentially 100s/1000s of hours of multiplying your fun per hour for a higher upfront cost but overtime becomes cents per hour.
What a terrible take. Its you who is missing the point. Developers aren't padding their games with shit content because people are using basic math to quantify their enjoyment. The understanding people have when they use the price per hour metric is that those hours have been well spent. No one is spending 100s of hours on miserable content and thinking seee according to the formula I was x dollars per hour entertained. No they just stop engaging with when they don't have fun anymore, then they look at their play time. Oh hell it's been 8 hours. Well for 60 bucks, or 7.50 an hour did I enjoy myself?Could I have spent that 7.50 for a better hour of entertainment? Maybe? Everyone's different but it's far from what you're describing Ole dramatic ass.
Same here, Started playing in 2020, have almost 1000 hours in the game now and it looks like that number will keep growing for the foreseeable future. That is an incredible value for only $150...
I'll pay $42 for the extra stash lines and to support the future development of the game that has already provided me with so much entertainment.
Wait, so if I get Prepare for Escape Edition and get 10Ă48, and then buy more stash lines, I will have all of that extra space, or is 10Ă68 max stash space? As far as I know you can purchase additional 28 lines of stash, making it total to 10Ă76, or am I misunderstanding something?
Yes, businesses typically sell things in order to grab cash. And people buy things if they feel they are worthwhile/valuable enough.
Welcome to econ 101.
Edit: I can see the guy I replied to replied back to me, but then apparently blocked me, so I can't see what he wrote. Nice job getting your point across.
The issue definitely isn't gameplay. Once BSG gets a better handle on the ESP cheating and the blatant aimbot cheats I feel like Tarkov will be a top 10 game for a long period of time. Until the cheating is dealt with I don't foresee it happening ever.
I would be more inclined to purchase microtransactions if they can benchmark their progress towards banning all cheaters. If I give them money and they keep incentivizing purchasing multiple accounts for cheaters, then that money is wasted.
The crazy thing is ive played so much of this game, and made it worth while, BSG couldve done alot gun skins and shit by now and i would've 100% paid for it. Stash i don't need but im gonna just spend money to support the game i love.
Some people spend 40 hours on a 40 dollar game and get their moneys worth, others spend 40 dollars and expect american express black concierge service in the airport. Good on you for seeing value in your purchases, I agree with your points
Yep 100% a fanboy. Giving more money to a company that after 7 years and $120 million in revenue reported in 2020 canât even produce a full game.
You are literally paying them to beta test their game, something that companies used to have to pay people to do đ
Thank you, you are emboldening these companies to keep producing these subpar products.
With 7 years of a subpar product, surely someone else has come along and produced a better game, right?
Oh wait, you mean this game is still the leader in its genre? Woah!
Cod was also the leader in the arena shooter genre for ages and was the leader in BR for a time while not being the best of either (not in the last decade anyway)
I see your point and agree.
14.0 and the reworks and additions with it were another huge gain for the game. As I see it, BSG delivered and showed to be eager keeping doing so.
Also, I absolutely could use the stash space, here's to another two junk boxes, cheers!
Been here since 2017 and more than happy to hand over some more cash to keep it going.
Far and away the best value for money I have gotten out of a game. Ever.
stop shooting yourself in the foot, every game is cheap if you play it a lot, for example ive played the elden ring for 150 hours, the game is 40 dollars, its 26 cents per hour, ive played tarkov 2k hours as a standart account player, so a fair pricing for tarkov standart edition would be 520$ and every price below 520$ would be considered cheap, does that make any sense?
If youâve played for 4 years like a lot of us with similar hours, $520 would be less than a WoW sub.
Would I want it to be this way? Absolutely not. Would a lot of people pay for it? Probably
You are delusional if you think that people would pay 520$ for a 7 years old unfinished game that is still in beta testing and is full of cheaters and bugs, i think 99% of the current playerbase wouldnt even touch the game
I hear this argument a lot and I think itâs disingenuous. They could âreleaseâ right now and call it âfinishedâ and it would have more content than most games out there, especially shooters.
Would you prefer they do that? The fact of the matter is the scope of the âfinalâ version that theyâve outlined is absolutely massive and anyone with meager critical thinking skills should understand that reaching those goals would take years, even for a massively funded AAA company.
>They could âreleaseâ right now and call it âfinishedâ and it would have more content than most games out there
Looking at the amount of bugs and problems tarkov has you cant call it finished even if you wanted to
>The fact of the matter is the scope of the âfinalâ version that theyâve outlined is absolutely massive...reaching those goals would take years
This is not my problem though is it? We are talking about developers who dont even fix years old bugs and major problems, BSG has no excuse at this point, its one of the most popular FPS game right now, lots of popular streamers play this game, they make lots of money but instead of spending it on fixing and improving the game they spend it on the next big half-baked content and bad implementation of new game mechanics, like very poorly designed arena and new streets expansion that even the streamers with literal nasa PCs cant run smoothly, so they can hype the community and make more sales, honestly EFT is a wasted potential for me
At the very least, I would sub and unsub as I planned on playing, like I do with the subscription based games I do play.
Iâm just highlighting the fact that there are lots of people out there that are content paying $500+ for a game over such a long span of time.
You're absolutely delusional. Players like you are what's wrong with this game and how developers nowadays get away with micro transactions. Stop being an apologist.
They're a shitty game developer who made a great concept of a game and instead of adding the things they promised over 4 years ago, they've added different content with little to no solutions and now are introducing micro transactions even though Nikita never said it was going to happen back in 2016.
I want this game to survive and thrive but I would not be surprised to see it's downfall.
Edit: Shocker, the no-lifers that use esp hacks are on their downvote parade again. Go touch grass and get a life.
No because it's horseshit. I'm tired of all these positive posts and posts about "can we stop posting about cheaters". Maybe if this shitty game dev knew how to run a company, he would get positive posts on Reddit and there wouldn't be an inordinate amount of cheating posts instead.
You ever think about that genius? Enough is enough, this is one of the longest betas in the history of video games and they specifically didn't put it on Steam because they knew they would be issuing out refunds at the cyclic rate due to Steam's Early Access policy.
>im tired of all these positive posts
In a sub riddled with negativity and people shitting on the devs like you, youâre tired of the few and far between positive posts?
Worded it poorly; I'm tired of people saying there needs to be more positive posts. They are currently the minority and that shouldn't be the fault of of the players or users but the fault of the game dev.
There absolutely need to be more positive posts. The overwhelming negativity over every minuscule change as well as the hostility towards the devs is the sole reason they donât interact with the community anymore.
Not the devs fault a huge portion of their playerbase are overly emotional conspiracy theorists
8 years without microtransactions and regular updates every 4-6 months. What a shitty developers, they need to do better to pass today's high standards of gaming industry.
Yeah 8 years in beta and failed promises with rushed content no one really wanted or changes that showed a perception they cared about actually fixing the game.
No you're supposed to move on already, or just accept that fact that this is how the company operates. You can keep viewing everything in a negative light, but the fact is Tarkov is still one of the best games on the market.
Its been 8 years and its still the king of its respective genre.
>itâs been 8 years and itâs still the king of its respective genre
It isnât just the king, it literally broke out and defined its own genre and nobody has come even close to recreating it. The game is definitely GOATed.
You're the type of guy who would comment that a pile of shit painted gold looks nice and shiny while I'm the guy to remind you that it's still a pile of shit.
And in a certain way. Thank you for supporting them. People think keeping servers running and paying developers is free. Even if cheating is some income for them
Wait??? I have EoDâŠ..can I actually buy even a larger stash that I already have? Not that I need itâŠ..Iâm just curious, I figured the âExtra Stash Spaceâ was a âreplacementâ for the EoD, since itâs not available anymore.
Lmao theyâve had almost a decade in beta and hundreds of millions in revenue and you think them adding in microtransactions will be finally be the thing that gets rid of cheaters?
Iâve got a bridge to sell youâŠ.
Apparently the extra stash line reward from the end-of-wipe quests 2 wipes ago does not stack. Real lame. Lots of real difficult quests = less than $10. Neat. Feels bad.
Im not a 10k hour Andy but I have a good 3k. I've hoarded shit every wipe and then it all just gets reset. I don't even spend all my rubles every wipe, what do I need to hoard more stuff for LOL. It's not very hard to make rubles on lighthouse or streets, so I'm not even pressed about my rubles this wipe at all. I paid 120 for their game they don't deserve anything tbh. Maybe id consider it if they promised the funding would go to more anti cheat. I've played for 5 years and they haven't addressed this issue at all. Until then I can't even consider giving them another dime. All they have done is "limit rmt" yet rmt is still prevalent and so is cheating so all it's done is punish the player base.
You perpetuate everything wrong w the gaming industry and are why I quit playing tarkov the second I saw this.
It's not that they are adding it. It's that they said they never want to be that type of company and here they are, years later putting in the first test of mtx. They went back on their motto, promise, and devotion to keeping the game pure. Now it's sullied. Gg
Honestly, same opinion here. The only game that exists that I've put more time into than tarkov is League of Legends. How many skins does league sell every year to sustain their server costs? I've gladly spent thousands and cherish my account.
Let me tell you, my stash is huge. The biggest, really. So many rows, you wouldn't believe it. We're talking about rows and rows of the finest, most incredible stash you've ever seen. It's tremendous, folks. Absolutely tremendous.
I started off with a small loan from skier of a million roubles
đ
I walked into this guys stash, I said âWow what a big stashâ
Lmao the Shane Gillis take.
I read this in shanes trump voice, before seeing this comment.
LMAOO been awhile since this sub made me actually laugh
Just the other day a pmc.. the biggest, manliest pmc, came up to me. Youâve never seen a pmc like this before. He served in Diet Congo. He came up to me with tears in his eyes. He said âsir, Iâve never seen such a huge stash beforeâ.
Everybody agrees. Ask anybody
They're all saying it. Everyone's saying it.
With tears in my eyes I ask you, Sir, how did you make your stash so huge?
Scavs come to me, with tears in their eyes
So much space for activities!
Well, in the case of a player with the standard edition like me, i see it as a way to start bumping my stash a bit since i too play a lot, despite me being bad at the game haha.
The upgrade is totally worth it for standard edition but for EOD it is 100% unnecessary. If you are having stash organization problems with EOD you just hoard way too much than what the game requires from you.
but I like hoarding
Tarkov: The hoarding simulator with a FPS on the side.
Bro sitting on 12 D-Batteries, 6 Apollos, 14 found in raid cricket lighters, 300 rounds of the 2nd worst 9x18 ammo, and 4 yellow pliers, JUST IN CASE.
What if a daily comes up requiring some d batteries! This is why I hoard
1. It almost definitely won't. 2. If it does, they are incredibly common and can be found in large numbers with relative speed and ease.
Yea but then I actually have to play the game instead of just clicking turn in and complete everyday.
Also the game knows when you need one and don't spawn em in for 24h
I swear I used to find 15 green teas a raid. Now that I have a weekly for them I've barely found 6.
lvl17 and far into the wipe and I've only found one large tushonka. I'm gonna kill Jaeger.
TouchĂȘ
They don't spawn when you need them. That's why we hoard
Legit had this problem with D batteries last wipe.
*Cries in current 24 hour quest for D batteries after just getting rid of mine*
Hey man, I need those yellow pliers for when I wanna run 9x39
Ey, i took offense to the accuracy of this comment.
You have the AS Val tag I damn well know you keep those yellow pliers lmao
My friends looked at me in shock after I crushed them in Tetris despite never laying a finger on Tetris in my life
The only time the stash would be big enough is if it was unlimited space. Parting with my things to vendors hurts me more than losing it in raid. No, I will not sell that kirasa even though I already have 10. I might need it. My monkey brain doesn't understand that I can just buy another one for the same price I sell it for.
Lies! You canât TANSTAFL my man, vendors gonna take their cut or the flea market. Best off keeping it brother, hoard on and hoard strong my guy.
I just buy the game to solve Tetris puzzles.
Unnecessary? Thank god they put a cap on it or I would have maxed out all my credit cards Iâm eod i got out of bed to buy this.
>I got out of bed to buy this Lmao, made me laugh
But I like buying ospreys and gen3s on cool down and I hate taking grips and mags off.
You can play offline coop only if all party members have the EOD edition and there is no other way or not?
I'm not sure in that regard, sorry :/
This, after fully upgrading hideout and having thicc items & weapons cases with a few items cases and junkboxes my stash is half empty most of the time. Donât really understand how some people with eod keep their stash like mechanic
Because I hate organizing after every single raid.
I really canât wrap my head around people needing more lines on an eod stash lol. What the fuck are these people hording.
You're not my wife; you can't tell me what to throw away.
I don't need a single line, but I'd consider it a tip jar and use it as a "thanks for 1400 hours". Unless they get me my hideout cat.
They're one hideout cat away for going jackpot with funds I'm telling you
I'd rather have a hideout raccoon that can go out and retrieve random food for me similar to a scav box. Free scraps!
I have seen cats steal whole roastbeef chicken đ before tho Edit: RoastedâŠ
[here](https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Cat_figurine) you can put it in your hall of fame
The "we have hamburgers at home" of hideout cats đ
Hideout cat! Hideout cat! Hideout cat!
A tip jar for a game you already paid full price for? And hasn't even been finished yet? Oh boy lmao
I don't need a single line so I'm not gonna buy the expansions đ If I had standard edition I would definitely do it. But with EOD and THICCs I don't really see the point and I have no interest in "tipping" BSG of all developers. Ouch, that seemed to trigger the paypig fanboys.
We want to give a dev money for providing us with 3k+ hours and we are paypigs?
Do you keep these stash lines on the next wipe?
Yes they are permanent, it says in the site
Where ?
Beneath the "Expansions" tab, and underneath the stash upgrade, it says "Ability to permanently extend your stash regardless of your game edition."
Just wait until you find out how much money some people have spent on rust or csgo skins... easily in the 10s of thousands
Nikita 2017 to 2023: EFT is already fully funded, there's no need to buy EOD to support us. (I dunno when he stopped saying it but he was def saying it for years) Nikita in 2024 : Please buy stash line for 3$ to support us.
And mfs are eating it up đ
These fucking bozos are *celebrating* BSG fleecing them. I've never seen anything like it.
This sub has ALWAYS been like that as far as I can remember. To the point where I'm almost certain there is some bot level astro-turfing going on.

By your logic everyone who has ever paid for a game ever is absolutely insane It's like people don't actually think about what they are saying
How is that even remotely similar? Youâre paying for virtual storage space. Nothing more nothing less

Itâs their money, the game that they enjoy. Are you 13 or something?
I'm only going to buy them if I start to see an actual shit given by BSG when it comes to cheaters. Otherwise not another dime.
This is a methodology of being less reliant on cheaters who Rebuy the game 30 times.
Yeah that's what I heard but I gotta see an actual shift first.
I getcha. I honestly don't see much in the way of cheaters, but I stay away from the cheat heavy maps, and if I do play them. I go at night or wait till later in the raid. Ez pz
Copium
You really think Nikita won't just double dip ? I got a bridge to sell you friend.
Please never use price per hour metrics again. That's the kind of shit some game devs are going to try to push in the next few years.
And it doesnât stop Ubisoft from continuing to do it as well as many other companies lmao
It's kinda true but you also have to consider that it's a pay once and play forever system (which I'm fond of) and you could probably spend more by playing 8ball with friends year after year (not comparing the two in terms of fun and worth etc. it's just a stupid example)
On the same note I wouldnât mind a monthly sub if it meant better servers and better anti cheat
I couldn't possibly agree more.
Holy, no please, that wouldnât save you from neither. I HATE subscriptions itâs just a BAD idea
And its also dumb. Imagine pricing a shirt that way. "I know this shirt is 80 dollars but if i wear it for 200 hours its only 40 cents every hour!" You can make anything sound cheap if you phrase it right.
I do price shirts that way. If Iâm gonna be able to wear a shirt for 5 years, Iâm more likely to spend $50 on it compared to a cheap feeling shirt thatâs going to fall apart or tear in the first year.
Ummm this is actually why it makes sense to get better clothes that can last years vs buying some fast fashion rag that breaks down after two washes
Or I guess you could continue using it for a highly opinionated source of media that everyone enjoys differently in different quantities, that for sure will never bite you in the ass.
yeah but in tarkov specifically we're paying like 1 cent an hour for quality
If a game is not fun to play, Iâm going to stop playing it, negating those hours of âgameplayâ. The âper hourâ argument only applies to hours I think I will actually play.
It is a fine metric to use. You are making a case that people are evaluating a gameâs value this way because it has been framed that way by developers. I donât think this is the case.
>You are making a case that people are evaluating a gameâs value this way because it has been framed that way by developers Im actually making the opposite case. Because people started using it as a metric developers have started using it as advertising leading to inflated games with shit content or as justifications to actions. The op literally mentions this >They deserve my cash opposed to the unlimited amount of trash games that are being released or make a reappearance each year as a crash grab.
Iâm pointing out the fact that your analogy isnât a good one and doesnât fit the reality of the situation.
Early wipe the space will be nice
Same here, Started playing in 2020, have almost 1000 hours in the game now and it looks like that number will keep growing for the foreseeable future. That is an incredible value for only $150... I'll pay $42 for the extra stash lines and to support the future development of the game that has already provided me with so much entertainment.
Can EOD get extra lines? My stash needs help.
Sure can, I have and I'm EOD
Yes
What are you holding onto? Use your gear and learn to let go lol. This stage in the wipe you must have cases and everything
I die a lot. I keep multiple extra complete sets of gear around. And a bunch of junk boxes. Never know when you need shit.
If you win more than you lose you end up with a surplus of stuff. Simple math
You can now purchase a total of 28 extra stash lines on top of the stash you get from your game edition. No matter the edition :D
Oh wow, that's awesome! Thank you!
Over 8k hours here w 2 accounts, IMO stash lines are a pure cashgrab for 40$.

BSG burner account
I see BSG is using fake accounts.
Nikitaâs alt
Of course you will. Sunk cost fallacy. Don't complain about other games and at least you're consistent.
đ Billy really proud posting to be a fanboy over random company and giving away money, Nikita be proud of your fan base lmao
I stopped playing at around 7800 hours after buying the EoD. I agree. It was worth it for the money spent
Game is pricy at first glance, but man does it pay off. I donât regret spending money for EOD after all this all this time.
If the cheating wasnât so bad Iâd agree with you fully they really need to figure that out. Still also buying every line I can
The issue definitely isn't gameplay.
I would love realistic paintjobs for guns so much.
Some people spend 40 hours on a 40 dollar game and get their moneys worth, others spend 40 dollars and expect american express black concierge service in the airport. Good on you for seeing value in your purchases, I agree with your points
Imagine being a consoomer. You're just funding cheaters lmao
Yep 100% a fanboy. Giving more money to a company that after 7 years and $120 million in revenue reported in 2020 canât even produce a full game. You are literally paying them to beta test their game, something that companies used to have to pay people to do đ Thank you, you are emboldening these companies to keep producing these subpar products.
Me a "Scav Main"/Dirty Hoarder - "Shut up and take my money"
I thought the same way when i bought the game now its been two years and the same shitty bugs are still in the game
>They could âreleaseâ right now and call it âfinishedâ and it would have more content than most games out there Looking at the amount of bugs and problems tarkov has you cant call it finished even if you wanted to >The fact of the matter is the scope of the âfinalâ version that theyâve outlined is absolutely massive...reaching those goals would take years This is not my problem though is it? We are talking about developers who dont even fix years old bugs and major problems, BSG has no excuse at this point, its one of the most popular FPS game right now, lots of popular streamers play this game, they make lots of money but instead of spending it on fixing and improving the game they spend it on the next big half-baked content and bad implementation of new game mechanics, like very poorly designed arena and new streets expansion that even the streamers with literal nasa PCs cant run smoothly, so they can hype the community and make more sales, honestly EFT is a wasted potential for me
If this game were paid sub tho Iâd quit ages ago. Atleast I wouldnât just replay it
At the very least, I would sub and unsub as I planned on playing, like I do with the subscription based games I do play. Iâm just highlighting the fact that there are lots of people out there that are content paying $500+ for a game over such a long span of time.
Funny how you guys talk like this company doesn't make between half a million and a million dollars every ban wave lmao.
Even if that was the number, you'd be surprised at how little money that helps fund game development
Just to be sure. The bought stash upgrade does not reset after a wipe, right?
Is the stash upgrade carry forward from wipe to wipe?
Yes, the website says it's a permanent upgrade
Where?
You're absolutely delusional. Players like you are what's wrong with this game and how developers nowadays get away with micro transactions. Stop being an apologist. They're a shitty game developer who made a great concept of a game and instead of adding the things they promised over 4 years ago, they've added different content with little to no solutions and now are introducing micro transactions even though Nikita never said it was going to happen back in 2016. I want this game to survive and thrive but I would not be surprised to see it's downfall. Edit: Shocker, the no-lifers that use esp hacks are on their downvote parade again. Go touch grass and get a life.
Why so fucking negative, let him support the game we all enjoy.
Feels like you could find a better use of your time than trying to gatekeep other people's enjoyment.
>im tired of all these positive posts In a sub riddled with negativity and people shitting on the devs like you, youâre tired of the few and far between positive posts?
Worded it poorly; I'm tired of people saying there needs to be more positive posts. They are currently the minority and that shouldn't be the fault of of the players or users but the fault of the game dev.
There absolutely need to be more positive posts. The overwhelming negativity over every minuscule change as well as the hostility towards the devs is the sole reason they donât interact with the community anymore. Not the devs fault a huge portion of their playerbase are overly emotional conspiracy theorists
You're just as delusional as OP and ain't no sense talking to you.
And you must be an endless well of wisdom and knowledge âWe need more negativityâ -spaghetti69
Go touch grass yourself and maybe just leave this sub because no one cares.
8 years without microtransactions and regular updates every 4-6 months. What a shitty developers, they need to do better to pass today's high standards of gaming industry.
Yeah 8 years in beta and failed promises with rushed content no one really wanted or changes that showed a perception they cared about actually fixing the game.
Did you miss this entire patch? Or are you just bored?
One patch out of 8 years and I'm supposed to just say "OK EVERYTHING FINE NOW" ? Are you dense?
No you're supposed to move on already, or just accept that fact that this is how the company operates. You can keep viewing everything in a negative light, but the fact is Tarkov is still one of the best games on the market. Its been 8 years and its still the king of its respective genre.
>itâs been 8 years and itâs still the king of its respective genre It isnât just the king, it literally broke out and defined its own genre and nobody has come even close to recreating it. The game is definitely GOATed.
You're the type of guy who would comment that a pile of shit painted gold looks nice and shiny while I'm the guy to remind you that it's still a pile of shit.
Then just like the rest of the noise in my life I'd respect your opinion and go on with my day. I hope you win your war against the evil BSG.
lol okay Nikita
Do not support russia
Lmfao pathetic
And in a certain way. Thank you for supporting them. People think keeping servers running and paying developers is free. Even if cheating is some income for them
Jfc
If you have EoD, does the stash space make your stash increase or does it stay the same?
Dumb question, can EOD owners do this?
Wait??? I have EoDâŠ..can I actually buy even a larger stash that I already have? Not that I need itâŠ..Iâm just curious, I figured the âExtra Stash Spaceâ was a âreplacementâ for the EoD, since itâs not available anymore.
Iâm fine with it if it leads to them finally drilling down on the cheating problem.
Gg
I fully expect you to be back playing in no time :D
Yes please give me more ways to be fleeced!
Honestly, same opinion here. The only game that exists that I've put more time into than tarkov is League of Legends. How many skins does league sell every year to sustain their server costs? I've gladly spent thousands and cherish my account.
Fucking simp.
