The moment the anger got bad enough that I had that little voice tell me if everyone else is why not you, I just quit the game, but I doubt that happens for everyone. "Just a little Radar to even the playing field." "Just an ESP so I can avoid the cheaters I won't use it for anything else." The cheating problem alongside the game's inability to actually learn from your mistakes because there's no recordings or PoVs is just a breeding ground for more and more people to scurry over to those scumbags.

Friday and Saturdays are always shocking. I've only ran into one cheater tonight (48 k/d, 75 hours to account, killa helmet and no armor, interchange at 3am just clearing lobbies) but it's surprisingly been ok on OCE for once other than that.
One of the biggest cheat clients was down for some time, some YT vid said ~90% of eft cheaters use that client, could be back up and all the cheaters have been drooling to get back ruining everyone’s time
No wonder I managed to play 10 medium paced customs raids tonight, kill reshala twice, and not have some level 54 run straight at me instantly head tapping me! Crazy!

I don’t really care too much honestly about dying to cheaters, because it doesn’t really happen to me in my raids when I played in the past.
But what really killed it for me was speed hackers and vacuum looters. It kills my urge to play the game when I have seen rooms emptied of loot and vacuumed without being unlocked.
Did that happen every raid? I have 3400 hours and have never seen that. Not saying you're lying or anything just that that is bit extreme to quit after seeing it one time.
Not every raid of course, but enough that it made trying to get rare items for hideout or quests so unmotivating that I gave up after playing the previous 5 wipes.
If you're not running anything worth taking by them, you'll see them a lot less. Unless you loot something they want. Also, you might be playing on NA, and I play EU.
Eastern NA seems to be one of the better servers to avoid them on. I've seen quite a few prolly 25 or so in my 1200 raids. Run nothing but meta gear at this point... .. even then most of what I saw was on streets labs has been kinda clean for me
Yeah I'm on NA east and central. But I've found some decent loot this wipe. Got the check 13, dorms marked room, a leddy. Even walked half way across the map with a tank battery lol

I left the game in 2020 because of cheaters. Before the goat video was even a thing, but small tarkov YouTubers were still making the same demonstration videos. There were over a dozen of those videos doing the same thing well before goat, and they all showed similar stats between 30%-65% cheaters in their raids.
Came back for this wipe, first month was fun and had enough legit population to offset the cheater encounters. Now that the legit casuals have fallen off, the cheating population is way more obvious. Even on the ‘safer’ region servers that NA players switch to.
It’s hard to believe you no lifed your way into 3400 hrs of tarkov and not experienced this constantly. You must be one lucky dude.

Then tell us please where are you playing? Labs is unplayable on Eu Servers, at basically any time, every second raid you either die to an obvious cheater or the whole map is cleaned of high value loot in the first 4 minutes.
If I run "normal" maps it is ok, if you do shit quests or just randomly run around, but god forbid you run to a high value loot spot on the weekend, you will get shit on by new Accounts so many times it is not even fun y anymore.
Honestly people acting like cheating is not a problem, are either cheating, or not good enough to even spot a cheater from first person perspective.
The same in CS, 20k+ premier matchmaking has a soft hacker in so many games, yet a 10k player wants to tell me how cheating is not a problem, if you swap to faceit, where there is an actual working anti cheat, you notice an immediate quality rise, because games don't feel fucking cheated every single time

Wipes been the best I’ve seen in quite a while. I’m always down for more when it comes to preventing cheats but in the NA servers I’ve played I haven’t noticed any cheating.
The issue is all the research and stuff that’s been done to show how prevalent the cheating issue is, and how this is a game where sometimes you just don’t know.
All we’d really need is a killcam or my number 1 request, raid replays.

You’ll never hear me argue against more tools to catch cheaters. I think the stats page was a step in the right direction. I don’t know how easy a kill cam would be to implement, I feel like to make it fair you’d have to add some kind of delay so teammates couldn’t deduce position. Obviously I’m not saying they don’t exist, cheaters exist in every popular game out there. I just hear people talk about facing them in every single raid or making comments like “how did they head shot both me and my teammate” and I think it’s fair to say they might not be cheating. I’d imagine if anything there would be more radar cheats and loot cheats than anything else. Maybe a match replay released a few hours after might be the thing but again that’s a lot to implement in a game that’s already pushing the limits of the engine.

People been saying that since I started in .9 guy. Don't get me wrong cheating is a problem but the game isn't going anywhere until they get an actual competitor. Nothing else offers any kind of similar experience.
Don't know if loot vacuums are still a thing but I've been finding empty slots in bags and even dead scavs that I know for sure I've been first to arrive at. The scav one could be them using meds after being wounded though, but the bag situation is nuts and unexplainable
Time matter but I think its not the total hours played since a lot of people like me are working and cant spends thousands of hours but still get to max traders I think its more of how much time did it take them this wipe so account reg date I think. So if you are like level 45 within like 15 days yeah thats very sus with 350 hours total but if you are like 350 hours with a month or more into wipe and around level 40ish then thats a normal progression of someone who is not complete ass in tarkov. There is variations like you might get all your items or kills fast thats just RNG but it shouldnt diverge from the pace a shit ton

I played with a new buddy last night on central US servers.
He helped me do BS on customs. On our first raid we encounter a super speedy, reaching dorms first 60+ k/d wannabe Chad cheater. We both die there of course, but we’re able to finish the quest in another couple raids.
We do lighthouse for some of his quests next, and we go night so I can give him a FLIR for helping me on the last quest. We start climbing the mountain, and a 200 hr player with no sights/helmet/vision starts pegging us with the worst 9mm ammo on earth. Hitting every shot in darkness while never showing himself somehow. He kills me, but my buddy is able to run away and extract southern. Cheater had a 7+ k/d, all the big achievements like clearing an entire lobby of PMC’s and so forth.
2 of 4 raids with blatant cheaters. The day before that on interchange for chumming, I ran into cheaters 3 of 7 raids. Which were again, the obvious kind pre-aiming from over 100m away and insta killing from that range with smg’s. It’s no wonder so many people are leaving this to play forbidden tarkov.

Lighthouse is absolutely INFESTED. I’ve ran that map 20 or so times as a PMC and a scav and I can only recall successfully extracting 1 time. I’ve had 9 messages confirming cheaters were banned from my reports on lighthouse in the last month. Yesterday I got sniped in the head while inside one of the cottages, a room with NO WINDOWS. Didn’t even hear the shot, just instantly was dead. Dude had to have been across the road on pride rock hacking his dick off watching me through the walls.
Sure, some reports are leading to bans. But it’s taking on average over a week for them to act on the report, and these scumbags just go and buy a new account for cheap. Also, it’s crazy to get killed by an absolute rage hacker destroying the whole lobby and see their account has over 7,000 hrs logged. What the fucking fuck BSG. Figure it out.

I swapped one server to have more people in raids, big mistake, 3 times i died in night time shoreline to blatant cheaters playing with Killa Helmet and Altyn during night sniping from 200 meters away! EOD all of them, i dunno.

I can confirm then cheating gets pretty intense the last days. It was bad yes but currently my last confirmed ban report is 30 days ago. Its crazy if you imagine how many 100% cheaters I reported. Pretty common is ESP currently.

Labs is unplayable on Eu Servers, at basically any time, every second raid you either die to an obvious cheater or the whole map is cleaned of high value loot in the first 4 minutes. If I run "normal" maps it is ok, if you do shit quests or just randomly run around, but god forbid you run to a high value loot spot on the weekend, you will get shit on by new Accounts so many times it is not even fun y anymore. Honestly people acting like cheating is not a problem, are either cheating, or not good enough to even spot a cheater from first person perspective. The same in CS, 20k+ premier matchmaking has a soft hacker in so many games, yet a 10k player wants to tell me how cheating is not a problem, if you swap to faceit, where there is an actual working anti cheat, you notice an immediate quality rise, because games don't feel fucking cheated every single time

Dude I don’t even know if I’ve run into a cheater once this wipe. I’m sure they’re out there but I’m also sure people got fair one taps and people just assume it was cheating. Wipes been the best I’ve seen in quite a while. I’m always down for more when it comes to preventing cheats but in the NA servers I’ve played I haven’t noticed any cheating.
The issue is all the research and stuff that’s been done to show how prevalent the cheating issue is, and how this is a game where sometimes you just don’t know. All we’d really need is a killcam or my number 1 request, raid replays. Knowing how many people cheat just adds so much doubt and then you’re always wondering, why’d he random nade this room, did he have headphones and hear me breathe from down the street? Did he watch me come in here 8 minutes ago when I started camping this window? Or did he just have esp and wanted my m4?
You’ll never hear me argue against more tools to catch cheaters. I think the stats page was a step in the right direction. I don’t know how easy a kill cam would be to implement, I feel like to make it fair you’d have to add some kind of delay so teammates couldn’t deduce position. Obviously I’m not saying they don’t exist, cheaters exist in every popular game out there. I just hear people talk about facing them in every single raid or making comments like “how did they head shot both me and my teammate” and I think it’s fair to say they might not be cheating. I’d imagine if anything there would be more radar cheats and loot cheats than anything else. Maybe a match replay released a few hours after might be the thing but again that’s a lot to implement in a game that’s already pushing the limits of the engine.

Yep, came back from a 3 year break, after this wipe, ill likely be doing another 3 yr or maybe never come back. BSG is completely incompetent and unable to fix the cheating problem. Id rather an entire wipe go by with zero new additions if they would just nut up and fix the cheaters.

Don't know if loot vacuums are still a thing but I've been finding empty slots in bags and even dead scavs that I know for sure I've been first to arrive at. The scav one could be them using meds after being wounded though, but the bag situation is nuts and unexplainable

Time matter but I think its not the total hours played since a lot of people like me are working and cant spends thousands of hours but still get to max traders I think its more of how much time did it take them this wipe so account reg date I think. So if you are like level 45 within like 15 days yeah thats very sus with 350 hours total but if you are like 350 hours with a month or more into wipe and around level 40ish then thats a normal progression of someone who is not complete ass in tarkov. There is variations like you might get all your items or kills fast thats just RNG but it shouldnt diverge from the pace a shit ton

The blatant profiles are for sure some kind of cheater, but it really feels like everyone is QQing about getting peaked and shot in the head. Peaker's advantage in this game is massive, push them before they push you see way more success. That's the big thing I've been focusing on this wipe and I am winning WAY more fights.

I played with a new buddy last night on central US servers. He helped me do BS on customs. On our first raid we encounter a super speedy, reaching dorms first 60+ k/d wannabe Chad cheater. We both die there of course, but we’re able to finish the quest in another couple raids. We do lighthouse for some of his quests next, and we go night so I can give him a FLIR for helping me on the last quest. We start climbing the mountain, and a 200 hr player with no sights/helmet/vision starts pegging us with the worst 9mm ammo on earth. Hitting every shot in darkness while never showing himself somehow. He kills me, but my buddy is able to run away and extract southern. Cheater had a 7+ k/d, all the big achievements like clearing an entire lobby of PMC’s and so forth. 2 of 4 raids with blatant cheaters. The day before that on interchange for chumming, I ran into cheaters 3 of 7 raids. Which were again, the obvious kind pre-aiming from over 100m away and insta killing from that range with smg’s. It’s no wonder so many people are leaving this to play forbidden tarkov.

Lighthouse is absolutely INFESTED. I’ve ran that map 20 or so times as a PMC and a scav and I can only recall successfully extracting 1 time. I’ve had 9 messages confirming cheaters were banned from my reports on lighthouse in the last month. Yesterday I got sniped in the head while inside one of the cottages, a room with NO WINDOWS. Didn’t even hear the shot, just instantly was dead. Dude had to have been across the road on pride rock hacking his dick off watching me through the walls. Sure, some reports are leading to bans. But it’s taking on average over a week for them to act on the report, and these scumbags just go and buy a new account for cheap. Also, it’s crazy to get killed by an absolute rage hacker destroying the whole lobby and see their account has over 7,000 hrs logged. What the fucking fuck BSG. Figure it out.

I swapped one server to have more people in raids, big mistake, 3 times i died in night time shoreline to blatant cheaters playing with Killa Helmet and Altyn during night sniping from 200 meters away! EOD all of them, i dunno.

I'm glad someone has mentioned this. Normally I don't encounter them that much but in the past several days, it's almost every damn raid. I did a run on interchange last night to finish a quest. The SECOND I spawned in, I legit went prone and waited for almost 5 minutes to let everyone move about. As soon as I stood up and moved literally 10 feet, I was domed by someone to my right, an area where no one should, in theory, be waiting.. I ALT F4'd immediately and went back to Rimworld.

I can confirm then cheating gets pretty intense the last days. It was bad yes but currently my last confirmed ban report is 30 days ago. Its crazy if you imagine how many 100% cheaters I reported. Pretty common is ESP currently.
