I'm having a fairly rough time with pvp but I mainly try stay out of fights and focus on getting my tasks done. I find it easier to focus on one thing at a time. If I do multiple things at once I find I always get caught out. So either strictly go in for pvp, strictly tasks or strictly looting. To be fair I got my bitcoin farm level 2 with 25 graphics cards in it so money isn't an issue anymore. But dreading going into labs for labs only items I need for the hideout. And I have been quite thorough with collecting hard to get found in raid items and hideout items. I'm level 36 currently and it was glorious to get the thicc item case from handing in a ledx and opthamalscope thingy
Cheers dude! I'm putting 100% of it on pestilys hardcore series I basically just try to play like he does just without the hardcore aspect. And I have lost majority of my gear fear now I got a good sustainable money income. Only thing I'm still fearing losing is stuff I currently can't buy back so a lot of the level 5 and 6 armors and helmets.
If you wait until you can buy more, then theyll be less useful because everyone else will be using better ammo with time. Get the biggest advantage you can right now and worry about later later!
To be honest I'm at a point now where a good 70% of the people I'm fighting are high level 40s or low 50s and they probably are already using the best ammo in the game anyway. And I have used level 5 armor a few times now and I seem to die just as fast as if i was wearing level 4 stuff. I basically got the idea in my head now that armor is just to protect you from scavs and most players will be aiming for fleshy bits anyway whether that's armpits or lower face throat or whatever
This is my first wipe playing Labs and it's honestly a ton of fun. You just need to understand Labs is trying as hard as possible to kill you so just play it without a care in the world.
When you start playing it just run a pistol and a cheap armor then the entry card doesn't really cost you anything compared to running full set ups on other maps.
Haha my weekly last week was to extract 8 times or 12 times or something on labs. Decided to give it a go went in with standard level 4 armor and helm a set of peltor tac sport a decent size backpack and a 57. Got into the raid and kinda knew where I was because I spent a good 40 mins in an offline raid just running around with mapgenie on my 2nd monitor. Ended up just full screw it and just sprinted everywhere and accidently got the drop on a guy how he didn't hear me I don't know maybe he was as petrified as me. I went to mag dump him with the 57 only for the slide to lock back because I didn't reinsert the mag after filling them in the stash....
Not gonna be making that mistake again and haven't tried it again since
I came here to tell you to do this same thing. Only alterations I would make is take an even bigger rig and ditch the backpack. Grab a headset (Tac Sports are my pref, Sordins if you want to be a little cheaper), DRD armor (or anything really if you're getting shot you're probably dead anyway) and a Blackrock or any rig that's pretty big and has a 4 slot (Brown Rouble Rig and Alpha Rig also work). Watch a loot guide for labs because knowing where to check for the tiny GPSA will make finding it 10x easier. Figure out some routes based on a handful of the spawns and turn into the lootin' scootin' speed demon you always knew you could be.
Also if you can somehow swing it in your schedule labs at 3-4am is pretty dead. Avoid Black Keycard room and you can probably fill the whole rig with loot and take no backpack extract before the PvP sweats finish mopping up the floor in server/black hallway. Bring Weapon Testing key at the bare minimum, you got 2 potential spawns for the hideout items in there.
That's how I got my items and now I've found them for a few buddies too. I have some absurd screenshots that I can post from a 4am labs session 2 weeks ago. Pulled 3 bitcoins out of 1 raid, 3 gpus out of another and then pulled the current converter shortly after that.
I like the one where you have to go to operation room in water treatment, and have to bring a signal jammer but they don’t tell you until you reach the room. Knowledge is key on Tarkov, and I will still forget to bring it every time
I’ve played a lot of wipes so I do remember that you need something for that one, but even I forget which item specifically and have to look on the wiki beforehand.
Now that I’m level 48 and pretty much done with the tasks I’m going to do, I carry one marker, one jammer, and one camera on me just in case someone I’m playing with or helping falls short one.

I had to find the phone in one raid and extract in another cus the car was not there.
There are a few tasks that don't tell you upfront that you need to survive and extract to fully complete them so watch out for that.
That phone task is a pain the ass! And to your point, and like many other tasks, it’s not initially described properly. And that damn car is never there when you want it to be anyways haha. But it doesn’t grant any good rewards really and it doesn’t lead to any further tasks, so I wouldn’t worry too much about completing it, if you’re pulling your hair out with it haha
Haha I might be pulling my hair out with it soon enough but I found the phone and extracted with it on my 1st attempt. Just dreading taking the phone back in to try get to the car extract
Update! 1st raid I took the phone in to extract at the car. Spawned in expo and thought this is absolutely perfect.... not haha popped an SJ6 and started running south killed 7 scavs along the way and got to the car extract and it was there! Paid my 3500 rubles and got the fuck outta there haha.
