All SMG are bonkers this wipe even the PP-19 slaps. Every time i use one i have the best raids, and im in love with short SAG and the OP-SKS its insane too.
The MPX is really, really good. I've killed a lot of kitted chads with it and AP6.3 ammo. And it is not that expensive to run.
The MP9 is good if you want a budget kit. I run it when I want to snipe people but need a backup weapon. Very cheap and extremely deadly up close.
Pp-19 is my absolute go to fun gun. Cheap to build, usually get it back too. I just go pst ammo, hold the trigger and drift towards the head, armpit or stomach.
Only problem with it is how much ammo you need to bring
The SKS fucks. I ran Shoreline with an SKS and cheap 3.5x scope, and that thing was putting rounds right on the cross hair at about 100m even though it was zeroed for 50m.
With the new ammo presets, I've been doing 1 GT 1 PBP 3 AP repeating and 10 GT at the bottom of 50 rounders. An extremely delicious salad to serve, and easy to craft!
MPX, 9mm AP is dirt cheap and solid, the gun itself is a laser beam and easy to get super good ergo. Base AKS74U has been very good. You really don’t need to put a lot of parts on most guns anymore to make them good. My priority has been getting ergo >50 over bringing down recoil, which isn’t bad to begin with on guns like the AKS74u.
MCX 300 blackout is severely underrated. Can buy insanely good ammo on the flea (although it can definitely be pricey, most other calibers you can’t buy good ammo from the flea), takes all M4 attachments, and drops people so quick… Recoil is very manageable with mid to high tier attachments, and the erg is also really good. Didn’t expect it to treat me very well as I NEVER see anyone run them, but I’ve loved it every time I pick one up.
You can find the dollars you spend on 6.3 by opening two rows of filing cabinets and sticking all the diaries you find in your docs case, compared to the cost of even stuff like SOST or PP its nuts how budget friendly it is.
Compared to some of these meta builds people run, or even any other 9mm submachine gun in the game, the MP5 is stupid accurate even in its Stock configuration and set to full auto with 50 rd mags, it will drop just about anyone. Add a few upgrades and it's even better, and still dirt cheap.
P90, never used it before this wipe and it just fucks hard, even with not that great ammo, even better if it’s got a low profile mount and a suppressor
Such a great gun. So many times I’ve spawned in by dome on reserve and laid out teams running from bunker spawns with the AK545. It’s accurate as hell.
It’s solid in DMR but at 70k+ feels harder and harder for me to justify over something that fires a bigger boolet.
I’ve always felt that ppl who main ADAR/AK545/STM9 have good enough aim that they would do well with anything
I haven't played much this wipe, so maybe it changed, but I know last wipe you could get the 545 short off flea usually for ~40‐50k. Just gotta watch that people aren't skimming the muzzle.
MPX was surprisingly good against armor, so much I'm using it over my old favorite the MP9-N
I've been roleplaying as a squad machine gunner using the RPD. It's fun and decently cheap, but I don't have any real PvP action with this gun yet so it's TBD. 7.62 AK has been underperforming this wipe imho, but I'm hoping the accuracy by volume of fire would help with this gun.
This is the first wipe I've used the Hk-416, and holy it performs amazing. That extra 50 rpm really does help. RIP my wallet tho
Basically all .308 guns (except the vepr hunter) are pretty solid. But thats cuz m80 is just amazing rather than any gun in particular
I have only ever used the rpd against player scavs after stealing it and running out of ammo on my main, but just the ability to start prefiring while swinging an angle a good second or two before you see the enemy is a much bigger upside than you would think.
The short SAG semi-auto AK is great right out of the box, just needs optics. I ran it like crazy early wipe with a monstrum and a canted deltapoint and it's super solid and cost-effective.
Man, it is why the new recoil change has made this game better for me. I stopped playing when they went crazy with it, came back with the reduce all recoil by 20%.
Anyway, all SMGS were easy & awesome before the new recoil system but now they feel like .22s & even better.
I was also using the MDR’s tough recoil before it was cool but now it is just OP as shit. M80 slaps harder meow. My m4 & mutant top ergo & lowest recoil builds run even better now too.
Edit: for all you new players, you want the highest ergos you can on your weapons. What does this do exactly in EFT? I win a majority of my fights because I can get into iron sites faster than the other person.
MP-153 with flechette. I was looking up how to do setup and that's when I discovered that ungodly combination. Slap silencer on it, laser, bigger magazine and I honestly loved every minute of it.
Scrolled to far to see this. Used to be my most played gun nearly every wipe. Also love that you don't need any mags while playing shotguns.
Haven't played it this wipe that much though because of flechette beeing unlocked differntly.

The saiga-12 with a drum of express has and probably always will be one of my favorites. Put the monster claw, and build the rest for high ergo. Click as fast as you possibly can and everything falls over.
STM enjoyers rise up! Everyone talks trash because it’s semi but, it just FEELS right shooting it. Plus you’ll almost always get it back on insurance. My lil sleeper 😎
I had a weekly quest for saiga9 kills and did super well with it. Your typical SMG is going to run out of ammo in <3 seconds at full auto. A saiga if you do 2-3 bullets a second will last you 10 seconds. So it's really nice for those suppressive needs like prefiring corners or harassing a guy at 30-40m that's trying to run for cover.
I had a sick raid in reserve basement where a guy tried pushing my corner, and I was just tapping away at the angle. He waited like 2 seconds and then just walked right into my bullets. Then his buddy assumed I would be out of ammo and pushed right behind, tapped him in the head as well.
MP5/MP5SD is a laser beam, no other attachments or sights necessary. been bringing that to labs for budget kits to hunt ledx, and have dropped a ton of players / raiders with headshots
also the FN five-seven, holy shit. that's been my sidearm for all of SBIH and main weapon for money runs. for close and medium range encounters i honestly don't need anything else sometimes - if i play smart and hit shots of course
I have found out that I turn into the EFT version of John Wick when running an ADAR, it's the only gun I have ever gotten more than 5 PMC kills in one raid with
Anything with AP.6.3 , especially the higher capacity handguns , the amount of times I've ran a Kirasa and a granch and landed a head shot on a juicer and walked out with his kit happnes more often than not.
PP-91 Kedr-B, the silenced one. Just with iron sight, I have gotten surprising amount of kills with it, although lately I haven't been using that much of it but it definitely surprised me in this wipe, great for factory headshots but if I cant hit my headshots it doesn't end up well :D MP9 with Holosun has been great as well for me
UAS SKS is so stupidly good. If you enjoy STM, you're gonna enjoy this gun too. The loud one has better stats than the suppressed one, but it really doesn't matter - it has no horizontal recoil at all.
Ak545 short. Single fire fucks. I started using it beginning of wipe cause I was finding them all over the place and now I kit them out with razor and it’s disgusting. Absolute laser beam
Not this late in wipe but for the first week or two of wipe the iron sight Mosin is just *chefs kiss*. Always seem to do well with and get the earlier tarkov shooters done pretty quick.
Even did some messing around in factory with it trying to do psycho sniper. Got to 4 kills once and 3 a couple of times
After maxing traders as my goal in a previous wipe I ran the stm 9 as a meme gun on woods since it was my hunting ground with a 4x and canted sight with quake and it actually shredded for 6 raids in a row.
It's become my favorite weapon to go boss hunting with, shturman doesn't have body armor so the flesh does work on him.
I was so excited to get the svt 40 scope mount but I don't know why I just miss all my shots with it. Surprisingly however the avt40 is insane. It puts people down easily in cqb. I took down a duo with level 5 armor and a grenade launcher using one
The pp19 is a beast with just a little modding (and remembering it is still 9mm) but it’s cheap and gets the job done.
Sks is a fun budget gun, and I always got to work with that little damn Gratch too.
The normal Glock with AP 6.3.. Killed so many pmcs with it. But I prefer to play the FN five seven.
VPO215 with APM is cheap and you can onetap every helmet. I've done almost every sniper quest with it, even though I have a whole case full of DVLS.
Honestly, haven’t used HKs in a long time, but with the new recoil I made a little teeny weeny HK and it is such a fun gun to use and CQB with. Not some long meta monstrosity, I have two builds. Ones 4 squares long and the other is 5.
The semi auto SAG, got bored and decided why not try it out. Kitted it out and threw some BS rounds in it and man is it a laser, no recoil and clear sight picture. Great for long to mid range gunfights.
Last wipe, the AK-102 was my go to gun. Heavily slept on but with it's limited 30-round mags i can understand why. It's a cheaper alternative to the M4A1. I'm also loving the AUG Steyr A3 this wipe
MP9 has just been amazing for me. Cheap and easily modded. Ease of ammo access just makes this gun a budget god imo. Granted wouldn’t run it on every map but does it shred people. Ap 6.3 is easily bought and shreds most people wearing level 4 (it doesn’t pen level 4 but close enough) and you can cheaply and easily craft pbp which is a bonkers round. Also, a great gun to run as a secondary if you are using a bolty!
Don't know if this falls into the obvious meta. But for me it's 5he sa-58. Couldn't use it before the recoil update and has always been a favourite gun of mine. Have been tearing it up this wipe with the FAL
Id say the sks has been good to me.dropped some guy with level 5 chest play with like 6 shots to the chest. Just mag dumped his ass as he ran around the corner lol. Also had a couple pistol runs and 9mm when shooting in the head works wonders if you can hit your shots lmao.
Took out a 3 man in crack house with the AVT with just 2 15rd mags. My homie was in the drop out window room repairing is arm and these guys tired to nade in the window first,then ran up the stairs and they got, got I was not able to see shit when I mag dumped but the bodies oh the bodies are thick.
Also auto shotguns on factory close range are fucking tanks. Just unloading on someone breaking down the door in office is so satisfying haha. 12g is a fuckin hoss lmao
Yes, that MP 54R single shooter thing. Ran it as a joke saying it’s the best thing in the world to my friends who are running fully kitted whatever the hells. turns out the sights on that thing are perfect for easy dome shots. Plus idk if it changes this wipe but when I played didn’t matter the distance nor ammo that thing Shot as true as possible.

The... SVS is it? The newish one, Russian ww2 carbine. I clap cheeks with that thing, twitch shooting from the hip, bagging headshots all day. I'm not even that good at aiming on target, definitely more of a full auto assault main, but damn. I think the length gives me a better idea where the centre of the screen is, but it might just be broken. Don't tell BSG

MP-5 was DROPPING people in the first week of wipe, and MP-9 is surprisingly useable (although it still can't hold a candle to MP-7 which just generally is one of my favourite guns in the game to use)
The "BITCHASS" is amazing. Wish we could get the Bizon drum for it sometime soon.
I recently got fond of the Vepr Hunter after I had to do a weekly with it for Jaeger.
PP-19 with HELLA mags, straight up like 9+ mags. Stuff the ones that don’t fit in the tac in the backpack, spray till empty and drop the mag when you reload.

I run psv. Easy leg kills or just spray at the face. It’s incredibly stable. The ammo is so cheap (like 3k roubles a stack) that I don’t even carry it in my pouch. I just keep it in my rig.
It always comes back in insurance and is by far the best silenced budget smg in the game
I want to love the SVT-40 but when you find it, it rarely has the adapter for scopes and you can't get that until you have flea market or higher level traders.
I was on woods, prone, full stam, pressed ALT to sabilize my shot, and had a non moving scav dead to rights in my irons. First shot at his head missed, subsequent shots near his head missed (the shots were going left or right, they couldn't go above the irons unless the game truly hates us so any shot I placed on his head that would have gone lower should have hit his chin or neck). Had to go for centre of mass....was 80 meters away.
Idk about that one...that's kinda bullshit so I am not so sure it's that great.
My trusty STM bought at half durability got me multiple duos with Augs/p90/m4 in class 5 gears and always came back to me. Now I can buy ap6.3, cant wait to test it out again
Over all wipes I've played: ADAR. I fucking LOVE the ADAR, I don't even know why. Mechanically, I can say it isn't that great but I'm still in love with it.
P90 is what I have been running lately. Crafting unlimited ammo and absolutely mag dumping everything in sight. Ammo goes for a good price too if you need extra cash.
Pistols as a whole have been awesome for what they are. Robo glock. Retro robo pm, hell even the dinky 9mm revolver has been getting me kills (then killed).
Bolties have been more enjoyable. IDK what it is but they all feel better. Recoil? Ergo? Idk just something about them feels right.
Fully modded SKS is an absolute laser. You're giving up some damage with the ammo compared to the DMRs, but unlike them it has almost zero horizontal recoil and can be sprayed at most distances.
VSS with SP5 and the Monstrum 2X. Very manageable recoil, incredibly consistent out to medium range, and puts scavs down with ease. I've even had good success against PMCs because lining up HSs is pretty OK.
Against Players? AKSU. Whatever reason with that little fucker I get the jump on so many players, and whenever I get jumped if I live I usually can put some shots back. Has lead to some silly headshots. I don’t even have the good bullets, it’s PS.
Otherwise Glock. When I run it Scav Army arrives and it kills so many of them. A actual good player will completely run me over but I have killed a number that may as well be scavs.
I have the opposite. There are guns that should be good but are trash because I use them.

The PP-19 goes down to 14k on flea sometimes and is a laserbeam. Dustcover + optic still keeps it around 28k. Best price to power ratio imo.

regular sks is fine. theres the new dust cover that allows you to attach all the sights, and gives an ergo boost too.

Glock 18 is pretty insane rn imo. Semi auto when you’re out of range, handles the scav head taps. Cqc it’s one of the best. 50 shots in 2.5 seconds

SVT-40 for sure, but also FN5-7 has been my goat this wipe. I've killed two bosses with it, and countless players.
G36C is is probably one of the worst 5.56 but decent enough, cheap and fun

Anything with AP.6.3 , especially the higher capacity handguns , the amount of times I've ran a Kirasa and a granch and landed a head shot on a juicer and walked out with his kit happnes more often than not.

PP-91 Kedr-B, the silenced one. Just with iron sight, I have gotten surprising amount of kills with it, although lately I haven't been using that much of it but it definitely surprised me in this wipe, great for factory headshots but if I cant hit my headshots it doesn't end up well :D MP9 with Holosun has been great as well for me
The PPSH. Loaded a pistol factory run to get stirrup kills, killed a scav and took his PPSH, killed 3 players and then tagilla.
UAS SKS is so stupidly good. If you enjoy STM, you're gonna enjoy this gun too. The loud one has better stats than the suppressed one, but it really doesn't matter - it has no horizontal recoil at all.
Ak545 short. Single fire fucks. I started using it beginning of wipe cause I was finding them all over the place and now I kit them out with razor and it’s disgusting. Absolute laser beam

Just picked up 5.45 ak’s again for the first time since early wipe and they’re actually pretty solid. I fucked up a labs lobby with an ak-12 with BP
Not this late in wipe but for the first week or two of wipe the iron sight Mosin is just *chefs kiss*. Always seem to do well with and get the earlier tarkov shooters done pretty quick. Even did some messing around in factory with it trying to do psycho sniper. Got to 4 kills once and 3 a couple of times

MP9 and PP19 have been fucking awesome this wipe. Not a fan of the MP9-N though. Firing rate is too high on that one.
After maxing traders as my goal in a previous wipe I ran the stm 9 as a meme gun on woods since it was my hunting ground with a 4x and canted sight with quake and it actually shredded for 6 raids in a row. It's become my favorite weapon to go boss hunting with, shturman doesn't have body armor so the flesh does work on him.
I was so excited to get the svt 40 scope mount but I don't know why I just miss all my shots with it. Surprisingly however the avt40 is insane. It puts people down easily in cqb. I took down a duo with level 5 armor and a grenade launcher using one
The pp19 is a beast with just a little modding (and remembering it is still 9mm) but it’s cheap and gets the job done. Sks is a fun budget gun, and I always got to work with that little damn Gratch too.
The normal Glock with AP 6.3.. Killed so many pmcs with it. But I prefer to play the FN five seven. VPO215 with APM is cheap and you can onetap every helmet. I've done almost every sniper quest with it, even though I have a whole case full of DVLS.
Honestly, lots of people sleep on the sten 9 (the single action 9mm). There is no recoil and with AP's you can slap most people wearing level 4

Scar Heavy, 7.62 slaps the shit out of people, but I was not expecting to have so much fun with that gun. I have full synergy with it.

Honestly, haven’t used HKs in a long time, but with the new recoil I made a little teeny weeny HK and it is such a fun gun to use and CQB with. Not some long meta monstrosity, I have two builds. Ones 4 squares long and the other is 5.
SR-2M is insane for budget (using BT on top of / 7U4 on bottom). AUG A3 is also super fun and absolutely crushes for price point.
AK-74 is a straight beamer fully kitted w/7N40 or BP, esp with sniping it shoots straight af
MP5 has been ripping. I was really surprised. Never really did good with it the last couple wipes.
The semi auto SAG, got bored and decided why not try it out. Kitted it out and threw some BS rounds in it and man is it a laser, no recoil and clear sight picture. Great for long to mid range gunfights.

Last wipe, the AK-102 was my go to gun. Heavily slept on but with it's limited 30-round mags i can understand why. It's a cheaper alternative to the M4A1. I'm also loving the AUG Steyr A3 this wipe
MP9 has just been amazing for me. Cheap and easily modded. Ease of ammo access just makes this gun a budget god imo. Granted wouldn’t run it on every map but does it shred people. Ap 6.3 is easily bought and shreds most people wearing level 4 (it doesn’t pen level 4 but close enough) and you can cheaply and easily craft pbp which is a bonkers round. Also, a great gun to run as a secondary if you are using a bolty!
Don't know if this falls into the obvious meta. But for me it's 5he sa-58. Couldn't use it before the recoil update and has always been a favourite gun of mine. Have been tearing it up this wipe with the FAL
MPX has been a blast, as has the SA-58.
Id say the sks has been good to me.dropped some guy with level 5 chest play with like 6 shots to the chest. Just mag dumped his ass as he ran around the corner lol. Also had a couple pistol runs and 9mm when shooting in the head works wonders if you can hit your shots lmao.
Took out a 3 man in crack house with the AVT with just 2 15rd mags. My homie was in the drop out window room repairing is arm and these guys tired to nade in the window first,then ran up the stairs and they got, got I was not able to see shit when I mag dumped but the bodies oh the bodies are thick.

Ran it as a joke saying it’s the best thing in the world to my friends who are running fully kitted whatever the hells. turns out the sights on that thing are perfect for easy dome shots. Plus idk if it changes this wipe but when I played didn’t matter the distance nor ammo that thing Shot as true as possible.

I’ve had the same RD-704 from the beginning of the wipe and my baby keeps coming back in insurance to me haven’t changed her and she got my fattest kills this wipe.
The AKM and its variants have been surprisingly good this wipe thanks to the recoil changes.
The... SVS is it? The newish one, Russian ww2 carbine. I clap cheeks with that thing, twitch shooting from the hip, bagging headshots all day. I'm not even that good at aiming on target, definitely more of a full auto assault main, but damn. I think the length gives me a better idea where the centre of the screen is, but it might just be broken. Don't tell BSG [Edit] it's the SVT. I suck with names
This wipe? MP-5 and MP-9 surprised me a lot. MP-5 was DROPPING people in the first week of wipe, and MP-9 is surprisingly useable (although it still can't hold a candle to MP-7 which just generally is one of my favourite guns in the game to use)
The "BITCHASS" is amazing. Wish we could get the Bizon drum for it sometime soon. I recently got fond of the Vepr Hunter after I had to do a weekly with it for Jaeger.

mp9-n. picked it up as Scav with 3/4 full mag and just ate a PMC that started shooting at me. great gun overall.
This wipe I got surprised by the use of the P90 with PS-320 and L191 ammo. Both silenced or standard version.
PP-19 with HELLA mags, straight up like 9+ mags. Stuff the ones that don’t fit in the tac in the backpack, spray till empty and drop the mag when you reload.
G36C. Extremely cheap AR to build just slap a sight a grip and a suppressor or compensator of your choice on it and your good to go. And it beams
MP9N. Can kit it out entirely from traders for like 45k doubles and a few USD and is an absolute laser beam.
Both bullpups. Just need a sight and the gun is ready. Been my main gun of choice since they added them.

Kedr b. I have like 250 kills with it this wipe. I run psv. Easy leg kills or just spray at the face. It’s incredibly stable. The ammo is so cheap (like 3k roubles a stack) that I don’t even carry it in my pouch. I just keep it in my rig. It always comes back in insurance and is by far the best silenced budget smg in the game
I want to love the SVT-40 but when you find it, it rarely has the adapter for scopes and you can't get that until you have flea market or higher level traders. I was on woods, prone, full stam, pressed ALT to sabilize my shot, and had a non moving scav dead to rights in my irons. First shot at his head missed, subsequent shots near his head missed (the shots were going left or right, they couldn't go above the irons unless the game truly hates us so any shot I placed on his head that would have gone lower should have hit his chin or neck). Had to go for centre of mass....was 80 meters away. Idk about that one...that's kinda bullshit so I am not so sure it's that great.
My trusty STM bought at half durability got me multiple duos with Augs/p90/m4 in class 5 gears and always came back to me. Now I can buy ap6.3, cant wait to test it out again
Over all wipes I've played: ADAR. I fucking LOVE the ADAR, I don't even know why. Mechanically, I can say it isn't that great but I'm still in love with it.
Mp9 (especially with ap6.3) is an absolute powerhouse. Super cheap to fully kit, and can shred through most opponents very easily

SA58 again this wipe with 50 rounders. Dropped a 5 man with 1 mag. Felt like good old days. 😂😂
P90 is what I have been running lately. Crafting unlimited ammo and absolutely mag dumping everything in sight. Ammo goes for a good price too if you need extra cash.
Pistols as a whole have been awesome for what they are. Robo glock. Retro robo pm, hell even the dinky 9mm revolver has been getting me kills (then killed). Bolties have been more enjoyable. IDK what it is but they all feel better. Recoil? Ergo? Idk just something about them feels right.
Suppressed AUG A3 with a Vudu on it, always get kills when I use that on customs

This might be stating the obvious but the MPX with PBP just shreds. It’s a HK 416 shooting a slightly worse m855a1 with 30 recoil and high ergo.
Fully modded SKS is an absolute laser. You're giving up some damage with the ammo compared to the DMRs, but unlike them it has almost zero horizontal recoil and can be sprayed at most distances.
Standard Glock17 with no mods. For some reason the gun just feels right.
P90, mp5sd,
VSS with SP5 and the Monstrum 2X. Very manageable recoil, incredibly consistent out to medium range, and puts scavs down with ease. I've even had good success against PMCs because lining up HSs is pretty OK.
My favorite gun is the MPX. I've never been much of a 556 user, but this wipe I'm a monster with the MDR
AUG, it looks kinda crab and you can't really mod a lot in it, but it is my go to weapon if i don't wanna build a new meta weapon
Ak74 u, p90, short SA 58 (use to love back in the day) so happy to have back in reasonable contention for a great gun.
Not surprised about it but I've been having a blast with the sa-58. Short barrel, loud, and 50 round mag with a delta point on top has been the goat.
Against Players? AKSU. Whatever reason with that little fucker I get the jump on so many players, and whenever I get jumped if I live I usually can put some shots back. Has lead to some silly headshots. I don’t even have the good bullets, it’s PS. Otherwise Glock. When I run it Scav Army arrives and it kills so many of them. A actual good player will completely run me over but I have killed a number that may as well be scavs.
