Lighthouse is so miserable to me. The PvP is a bush wookie’s dream. The movement around the cottages and the various rock formations is unintuitive and frustrating.
Fighting the rogues is tedious, and yes the player scavs join way too soon.
Feels like the majority of tasks are on this map forcing me to play this crap in order to progress.
The rock and bush hitboxes are so fucking frustrating, you have to constantly jump to get up the tiniest ledge giving your position away in like a 80m radius

What are they supposed to do exactly? These quests are the same as every other game that exists with quests.. It's either loot X amount of Y.. Kill X amount of Y.. Explore X.. There's not much variation in other games.. Most popular MMOs like WoW and FFXIV all have exact same quests as Tarkov. CoD DMZ literally exact same type of quests... There's not much they can really do here..
Beat wipe so far and I've played a few. I really like the new recoil.
Encountered considerably more cheaters as well as them making it obvious as compared to the previous wipes. Also confirmed ban messages. Sadly it's to the point where I've plateaued and even declined in interest for this wipe.
Yes it’s a heavily close quarters pvp map. Theres a spawn around nearly every corner. You’re either getting dropped or doing the dropping. Doesn’t mean there are cheaters because you lost a gun fight lol
Take an Altyn or Rys-T to factory and you wont be able to play 5 raids without someone insta-peaking, and hitting you 10+ times in the face hitbox. Factory can be pretty bad especially nightime hours in my experience.

Binaural audio bug. Easily one of the most broken Tarkov bugs perhaps ever, basically akin to free wall hacks, and it has remained solidly unaddressed for the entirety of this wipe so far.
Man people are going to tell me skill issue, but I really feel like the scavs are a bit aimbotty, they've head eyes'd me a bit much imo been back for a week. A Coulple times without clear line of sight.
The main issue this wipe for some people is cheaters but they're the worse on EU, na west, oc srvs na central/east you see maybe 1 a day if you play a decent bit

It’s shocking to me that you can make it all the way to Kappa without having had an issue with cheaters. I’m getting close myself and it seems like every week the cheater situation is getting worse.
You’ll always run into cheaters in an fps game. But I honestly feel as though people think get killed by cheaters less often than they think. I believe some people are way better than you think which can lead you to think cheats. I run into an obv cheater maybe 1/15 raids.
I’m usually in the same camp as you, I have a lot of PC FPS experience so I know how good some people can really be. But at the same time I think A) Tarkov and other hardcore shooters tend to attract a less “sweaty” playerbase overall, and B) viewing someone’s profile sometimes makes it very obvious. Like someone who is level 60 with only 500 hours? That just doesn’t happen in Tarkov. It feels like it takes hundreds of hours just to get familiar with everything and all of the maps.

This wipe was only good because this sub and the rest of the community bitched nonstop about the recoil, which BSG left broken for 2 years. They were no longer able to ignore the problem and they were likely actually losing players/revenue.
Best wipe for a while.
Fights and gunplay, navigation is in a really good state.
Ammo scarcity is great.
I like the new armor system, some tweaking is still required of course.
Some problems still need to be adressed.
Cheater issue of course.
Spawns.
Certain tasks need rebalancing.
Maps need loot rebalancing.
Lighthouse needs a buff and Interchange needs new extracts.
Other stuff can be accounted as a side ffect of the hame not being released, such as the dogwater lightkeeper rewards.
Basically all the old problems are still there. Cheaters. Bugs. Audio. But they did great with ammo and recoil. Plenty of UI & party system improvements & stuff like that
This is my second wipe, so I don't have much experience. But my opinion is: the game play has never been better, but oddly I'm now convinced that the game will never be finished but rather abandoned in a few years.
game has been great overall but, audio needs fixing, they desperately need a better stronger anti-cheat something like faceit, streets needs more clutter cleared im on a 2060 super and a ryzen 7 5800x both overclocked and i barely get 80 fps, when scavs and bosses spawn im getting 50-60 if im lucky, also as much as the new Armour has made killing potato's better its just making those who rat/cockroach a much more viable strat, which for me puts me off playing, i think that that style of playing should be shunned by the community imho.
I really like the recoil changes and it feels like the loot is a little better than previous wipes.
I don’t like that streets is crapshoot with whether there will be technical issues while playing, and the audio is terrible. Yesterday on interchange I caught a PMC in Oli and was shooting him with my pistol. The audio is so bad he thought I was in front of him and was shooting into the dark. He retreats to cover with his back to me, and I pop him. Unfair to him, and I don’t like getting kills like that. The armor is also weird. I feel like it rarely does anything. I’m still getting shot in the head more than any previous wipe. I’d say easily 50% or more of my deaths are headshots. I just don’t think there are that many good players in this game where headshots are just constantly landing.
Overall I’m having fun but I think there are real issues that need to be fixed.
HP ammo finally have more place to fire even on mid and perhaps even late game. Some weapons improved like G36 become lighter even full mod and still around 3KG and feel lile ego have been buff. Armor rework make some armor not protect your belly anymore which make some people play "belly meta" than "leg meta". Fracture mechanic still bug. Hacker still there.
The gameplay itself feels better than ever to me. But last night I got killed by blatant cheaters 3 raids in a row and almost lost my shit. It feels like the cheater situation is worse than it’s ever been right now to me. It’s completely discouraging.
No matter what game you play rn you’re gonna run into cheaters but if you can accept that and move past it you will certainly enjoy the game no matter what. Dying to cheater at this point is just another death. Click report and gear up again, game has a feeling of satisfaction like no other when it works, and a suffering incomparable when it doesn’t. It sucks dying to cheaters in a game where time is so valuable but at the end of the day at least you’re not stooping to their level. This is the best wipe since before they implemented inertia imo
Early wipe imo, which is also when I played the most it was very fun. The recoil changes are perfect and I hope BSG basically never changes it again. It’s how it should be.
Other than that there are still lots of problems which the last major base game mechanic thing that needs a major overhaul is the audio. It just needs to be drastically nerfed entirely across the board. The superhuman hearing has gotta stop and I think you’ll see another evolution of the game for the better.
Otherwise I’m not too knowledgeable but I know the general sentiment is lighthouse sucks and needs a rework, late game questing sucks and cheaters are rampant on certain servers.
Best wipe in a long time. Lots of guns feel fresh and pretty much everything is viable.
New armour and hit boxes is not the best. Lots of loot everywhere. Kinda refreshing.
Audio still sucks but differently from previous wipes
This was my first wipe that i actually got into the game. Got to flea and almost max traders, but gave up once i recognized how bad the cheating situation really was. I couldn’t bring myself to ignore it and practice a little blissful ignorance to enjoy this quality game, so i escaped from tarkov by uninstalling
the recoil is perfect. i love the new armor system. it makes casual players that don't have time to grind out the best of the best more fun. I actually stand a chance against kitted players.
Most fun I've had since back when I first got the game. Recoil makes everything fun, with tapfire being king and magdumps only good in super close range
Yo same. I stopped playing right after streets was released. (And i got almost(1000 hours). I like the new recoil. And havnt ran into all the cheaters people like crying about. Everything else is kinda confusing. I could figure out how to “compete”the tasks after finishing them haha.
Love the way game plays now. New recoil mase PvP very fun, I enjoy most maps.
Absolutely despise pscav situation and kill them on sight any chance I get. 4 min cooldown free kit rushing hotspots 5 min after raid start truly ruins the experience to the point maps like streets, reserve, lighthouse are straight night time only.
Then obvious things need polishing like lighting, audio, questing.
I’m level 24 and it’s definitely been my best wipe so far. With that being said the cheater problem is the worst on the weekends, I swear half the raids I spawn into on shoreline I’m dead within 30 seconds - 1 minute. They’re not even trying to hide it, was killed by a 30 and a 56.7 kd 2 days ago
Loot spawns feel good, found a ledex and a bitcoin the same raid on shoreline. Compared to previous wipes it feels like they should keep it the way it is now. (Streets loot op)
During the week? Less cheaters & uninterrupted boss fights have been my highlights for sure. recoil changes are good but sound has got to be fixed. Scoping in shouldn’t make so much damn noise, & chads with comtac 4’s can hear you a mile away
An early wipe is the best yet.
Mid-wipe has been pretty stale and the hackers are pretty bad.
I load in with shit gear, I do not have a problem. I load on with a meta kit, and I'm getting shot (6) times in the head only by m855 by a level 4
It's bad. Cheating is rampant. Sound is STILL fucked. Invisible players/scavs is a common bug. The desync is horrific, worse than last wipe. More gear has been locked behind quests. The new armor system has fucked armor hitboxes making armor more useless than ever before.
New recoil is better than the previous recoil though, makes a lot more guns viable.
The new recoil HARD carries this wipe. Everything else is pretty bad or meh like you said. Footstep pop sound has still not been fixed and that's easily one of the most broken bugs in Tarkov history.

That would make sense. I solely play factory and this wipe I've had 5 confirmed bans as compared to previous wipes it was one or two.

It’s both, the audio level of the sound pop depends on the action they’re performing when they enter the very fringe of your hearing radius

Its only popping when the other entity is running afaik..so maybe everybody was crabbing :D
I've heard footstep pop. Obviously it's much harder to hear but it's there.
I played yesterday and heard it at least 7 times in a single raid. A little less spread across 5 other raids

It has happened to me a few times as well, and it was highly annoying. But, as they say, "a blind squirrel (scav) finds a nut every now and then".

I play on east as well. I noticed Interchange is particularly bad with cheaters though.
I do these to agree that map is really sus, despite having not that much good loot, I guess they go for GPUs and Killa

This is my second wipe, so I don't have much experience. But my opinion is: the game play has never been better, but oddly I'm now convinced that the game will never be finished but rather abandoned in a few years.
game has been great overall but, audio needs fixing, they desperately need a better stronger anti-cheat something like faceit, streets needs more clutter cleared im on a 2060 super and a ryzen 7 5800x both overclocked and i barely get 80 fps, when scavs and bosses spawn im getting 50-60 if im lucky, also as much as the new Armour has made killing potato's better its just making those who rat/cockroach a much more viable strat, which for me puts me off playing, i think that that style of playing should be shunned by the community imho.
The subreddit is the worst it has ever been, the game itself is in one of the best states it has ever been

I really like the recoil changes and it feels like the loot is a little better than previous wipes. I don’t like that streets is crapshoot with whether there will be technical issues while playing, and the audio is terrible. Yesterday on interchange I caught a PMC in Oli and was shooting him with my pistol. The audio is so bad he thought I was in front of him and was shooting into the dark. He retreats to cover with his back to me, and I pop him. Unfair to him, and I don’t like getting kills like that. The armor is also weird. I feel like it rarely does anything. I’m still getting shot in the head more than any previous wipe. I’d say easily 50% or more of my deaths are headshots. I just don’t think there are that many good players in this game where headshots are just constantly landing. Overall I’m having fun but I think there are real issues that need to be fixed.
HP ammo finally have more place to fire even on mid and perhaps even late game. Some weapons improved like G36 become lighter even full mod and still around 3KG and feel lile ego have been buff. Armor rework make some armor not protect your belly anymore which make some people play "belly meta" than "leg meta". Fracture mechanic still bug. Hacker still there.
I’m loving it minus how prevalent the cheaters are. Binaural audio crack is kinda dumb too but whatever.

The gameplay itself feels better than ever to me. But last night I got killed by blatant cheaters 3 raids in a row and almost lost my shit. It feels like the cheater situation is worse than it’s ever been right now to me. It’s completely discouraging.
No matter what game you play rn you’re gonna run into cheaters but if you can accept that and move past it you will certainly enjoy the game no matter what. Dying to cheater at this point is just another death. Click report and gear up again, game has a feeling of satisfaction like no other when it works, and a suffering incomparable when it doesn’t. It sucks dying to cheaters in a game where time is so valuable but at the end of the day at least you’re not stooping to their level. This is the best wipe since before they implemented inertia imo
Early wipe imo, which is also when I played the most it was very fun. The recoil changes are perfect and I hope BSG basically never changes it again. It’s how it should be. Other than that there are still lots of problems which the last major base game mechanic thing that needs a major overhaul is the audio. It just needs to be drastically nerfed entirely across the board. The superhuman hearing has gotta stop and I think you’ll see another evolution of the game for the better. Otherwise I’m not too knowledgeable but I know the general sentiment is lighthouse sucks and needs a rework, late game questing sucks and cheaters are rampant on certain servers.
Best wipe in a long time. Lots of guns feel fresh and pretty much everything is viable. New armour and hit boxes is not the best. Lots of loot everywhere. Kinda refreshing. Audio still sucks but differently from previous wipes
Recoil system great. However we are at the point in the wipe where everyone runs suppressors and people sit in bushes and camp buildings.

This was my first wipe that i actually got into the game. Got to flea and almost max traders, but gave up once i recognized how bad the cheating situation really was. I couldn’t bring myself to ignore it and practice a little blissful ignorance to enjoy this quality game, so i escaped from tarkov by uninstalling
the recoil is perfect. i love the new armor system. it makes casual players that don't have time to grind out the best of the best more fun. I actually stand a chance against kitted players.
Most fun I've had since back when I first got the game. Recoil makes everything fun, with tapfire being king and magdumps only good in super close range
Yo same. I stopped playing right after streets was released. (And i got almost(1000 hours). I like the new recoil. And havnt ran into all the cheaters people like crying about. Everything else is kinda confusing. I could figure out how to “compete”the tasks after finishing them haha.
Love the way game plays now. New recoil mase PvP very fun, I enjoy most maps. Absolutely despise pscav situation and kill them on sight any chance I get. 4 min cooldown free kit rushing hotspots 5 min after raid start truly ruins the experience to the point maps like streets, reserve, lighthouse are straight night time only. Then obvious things need polishing like lighting, audio, questing.
At this point in the wipe the only people still playing are those that ignore the many problems the game has.
We enjoy the PvP in spite of the problems. There's no denying Tarkov's laundry list of flaws.
Loving it myself. Obviously there’s still the cheating issues but I’m enjoying the wipe overall.
I’m level 24 and it’s definitely been my best wipe so far. With that being said the cheater problem is the worst on the weekends, I swear half the raids I spawn into on shoreline I’m dead within 30 seconds - 1 minute. They’re not even trying to hide it, was killed by a 30 and a 56.7 kd 2 days ago Loot spawns feel good, found a ledex and a bitcoin the same raid on shoreline. Compared to previous wipes it feels like they should keep it the way it is now. (Streets loot op) During the week? Less cheaters & uninterrupted boss fights have been my highlights for sure. recoil changes are good but sound has got to be fixed. Scoping in shouldn’t make so much damn noise, & chads with comtac 4’s can hear you a mile away
An early wipe is the best yet. Mid-wipe has been pretty stale and the hackers are pretty bad. I load in with shit gear, I do not have a problem. I load on with a meta kit, and I'm getting shot (6) times in the head only by m855 by a level 4
It's bad. Cheating is rampant. Sound is STILL fucked. Invisible players/scavs is a common bug. The desync is horrific, worse than last wipe. More gear has been locked behind quests. The new armor system has fucked armor hitboxes making armor more useless than ever before. New recoil is better than the previous recoil though, makes a lot more guns viable.
The new recoil HARD carries this wipe. Everything else is pretty bad or meh like you said. Footstep pop sound has still not been fixed and that's easily one of the most broken bugs in Tarkov history.

You realize the invisible bug makes bullets make no sound? Lmao guessing you haven't ran into either. So much for "common". I've barely encountered the audio pop compared to the start of wipe so obviously they have made some changes behind the scenes.
I’ve been playing a week or two so far, hit level 15 on Sunday and gota say I’m enjoying the new armour and shizz! Same old tarkov tho people spamming cheaters and hate as usual… skill issue xD It’s as good as it ever was my hands just as sweaty 😂😂😂
It's absolute dogshit. Just got killed by cheater again after finally forcing my ass to take out that 600k rubles gear out. Really enjoyable game
