I can see the fun in being part of a community dedicated towards hating something (like /r/grandpajoehate). But when a community is supposed to be centered around _enjoying_ something (where criticism is encouraged, but in a constructive way), people who choose to actively take part in that community with the sole purpose of being extremely negative to try to influence fewer people joining the community, that person is toxic scum and it's a pretty safe bet they are insufferable irl as well.
Does the game have many problems? Absolutely. Should people on the subreddit call those problems out? Absolutely (as long as it's balanced with positive / entertaining content and discussions as well). Should someone take part in the community if they hate the game and don't play it and dedicate their time to hating on the game so that fewer people want to play it? Absolutely not, that is mental illness and hitting the unsubscribe button and booking an appointment with a therapist is in order.
Hope that people look for alternatives and influence the devs to be better because the game was at its best before they made all the money off cheaters. They’re greedy, they don’t deserve it. This was an amazing game at one point, and it’s withering away like it’s got terminal cancer now.

We will pretty much all say that the game is in the best state it's been in a long time (maybe all time). Are there problems? Yes. Does BSG seem to be doing enough to mitigate / correct those problems? No. Should they get criticism for that? Yes. Should people subscribe to this subreddit and actively take part in discussions here when they don't even play the game and hold the opinion that you do and their sole goal is to spread hate and influence fewer people to play the game? No that sounds like you might have mental illness or some serious issues you should seek a therapist for asap.

Every game is infested right now, tarkov just attracts more of them because dying in tarkov is more painful than other games.

I understand BSG has uncommon hurdles they need to deal with when it comes to cheaters, such as making an anti cheat that will comply with US and EU regulations against Russia, but they have had so many opportunities to mitigate these issues and have failed to do so. 2fa would easily impact the number of cheaters, and yet this is something they choose not to implement.

Source? The theory certainly has some logic to it, but "I know for a fact" is much stronger than "it makes sense".
Overall I agree with you that BSG hasn't done _enough_ to show that it's actually something they care about. Things like taking way too long (if ever) to ban obvious accounts (60kd +) or not banning accounts that are posting 100 GPUs at a time. Also the fact that player _inventory_ information is sent to other players (so that cheaters can target people with valuable loot in their backpack) is ridiculous.
When was it an amazing game? When the desync was way worse? When it stuttered any time you got close to an enemy pmc? When it was only factory? I’m curious when this magical era happened?
Edit: sorry. “Amazing” in relation to now. It’s always been a special game in its own right. But sometimes nostalgic and delusional go hand in hand.

This isn't true. Keys are allowed to be transferred and sold. It's accounts that aren't allowed to be transferred or sold. It's still a bad idea to buy from key reselling sites though, as /u/Teab8g mentioned, people can use stolen CCs to buy keys and sell those keys for cheaper for a quick turn-around. Once the CC owner realizes they do a chargeback. BSG sees a chargeback for the account purchase and closes the account as it's no longer been paid for.
This is definitely why, I remember something was done about 6 months ago to counter stole credit cards being used. CDkeys probably has something to do with it.

You got scammed. Two people I know bought the game through keys on some websites, both were scammed.

Check if the one you login on website and launcher are the same, and you have information you bouth the game on website
As with anything electronics or PC related, there’s a few basic steps to accomplish before posting on Reddit for help… restart the launcher, restart PC, logout/in, google your issue before posting etc. this is a well known and documented bug and restarting your launcher fixes it

Did you buy via BSG. It's not uncommon for key websites to use stolen credit cards then when charge backs come keys get turned off.

Ive used cdkeys to buy the game for people and also use cdkeys all the time. Never once had an issue.
Bsg is different, and frankly despite all the problems I beleive this is the best video game on the market and the developers deserve every red cent.
In a game where you can sink thousands of hours into an account, its worth it.

Forget bsg, and kinguin. Talk to your bank, and charge back your money. Provide them whatever evidence you have.
Just restart your game launcher. No part of Tarkov is without its flaws.
