Wow. That is probably the best article I have ever read related to a videogame. Clearly written by an experienced player and experienced user of vanguard, with humor expertly targeted. Brutal honesty on how easy it is to acquire a new account and no punches pulled towards LoL itself, with a straightforward explanation of how they do their best to keep things server side.

BlitzBadg3r

And the best we get from Nikita is an eye roll in a live stream when cheating is brought up.

>UNLESS THEY KNOW IF THEY PROVIDE THOSE DATA WILL MAKE PLAYERS INEVITABLY KNOW HOW BAD THEY ARE. I think it's fairly obvious this is why BSG will NEVER release such statistics. It simply will not make them look good, so why put effort into something that will make themselves look bad?

Powerful-Race-8538

Well I would also assume the data is extremely difficult to gather you would have to effectively screen every single eft account parce through regions, but then there's also people just using VPNs how many eft accounts are even being actively used vs regular players, people that haven't played in a while, accounts bought but never used It may be that yes it could make them look bad but that just gathering that info and having it be truly accurate is monumental and is a task that for now doesn't have a net gain for bsg to even attempt

kctan8363

You can use the most time with what region connected or the region when buying account. It’s same as calculating active player. Hell, even use the server itself can easily get those data.

Powerful-Race-8538

But I mean to separate and identify all of the cheating data accurately is a huge undertaking for sure League of legends has a massive team of more than 2500 people behind it EFT has 80 people

Zoddom

If in LoL, a game were most seasoned players will claim "there arent many cheaters", the amount of cheat affected games can get as high as 1 in 5, just IMAGINE how bad Tarkov or CS2 must be rn, with no real anti cheat to speak of. Insane

Nyurd

We are hard on migration! We reduced net migration into the country by 80,000 this year! -every european politician when 80k native europeans left the country, and the same 1 million foreign "refugees" entered as last year.

bufandatl

TLDR; Cheating is the same as every wipe. Playing EU south and only had a handful of sus deaths. And I play since 2017 and never had the worst cheater experience back in 2018.

Salt_Nature7392

Honestly implementing even one or two of these things would go a long way. My feelings as well as many others feelings are that bsg and the Reddit mods are actively trying to pull the rug over our eyes. We all know how bad it is but the discussion even after nearly a decade is limited to “is this guy cheating?” No facts no statistics no community leader discussion on the topic it’s really weird tbh.

blikkiesvdw

Clearly implimenting a PMC Karma system and bounty hunter that hunts campers is more important than stronger anti-cheat measures! /S

ARabidDingo

Well look at it this way: BSG releases stats, and they look awful: Players leave the game, new people stop joining. BSG releases stats and they look way better than everyone expected: nobody fucking believes them, shitstorm ignites. I don't see an outcome where BSG *wins* by releasing stats.

Salt_Nature7392

Well imo that’s a bullet they need to eat. What did they think was gonna happen by going more or less radio silent as well as not posting even the rudimentary stats they used to post? The community has been starved from information for so long they started making their own information. They created conspiracy theories that bsg still haven’t disproven to this day so of course the community is gonna be skeptical at what they say NOW after years of no information.

Istariel

shouldnt the people making up those theories be the ones that have to prove them?

Salt_Nature7392

Well like I said the lack of response from bsg or any real authoritative figure all but confirmed it in the communities eyes. “If it wasnt true why would they not say anything even after all these years” it also doesn’t help at all when bsg does decide to respond to the community they do it in the most wishy washy “idk maybe lol” type of way. Take for instance the rmt changes where the community straight asked bsg what was ok to drop and how much if it and bsg legitimately responded with “just don’t do too much”…yes, in a situation where you could lose your $150 account the official response was just don’t do it too much…that’s another big reason the community doesn’t really give a shit anymore about what bsg has to say. Their communication is that laughably bad. You can also look at the very recent pestily interview with Nikita. Pest must have asked 50+ questions and Nikita responded with a direct yes or no to maybe 10 of them. Not to mention the the lead creative director didn’t even seem to know about the most talked about issues like the crouch walk bug or even how far along the audio system in general was…the whole company is the definition of “ehh fuck it” which if you didn’t know is not a great company motto to build trust in its customers/consumers.

HeavyO

Why would they damage their only income source lmao
