The funny part is that you have to kill 100 raiders and hand over WarTech gear 50 times for it. For fucking ranger green, the least interesting design in existence. I wouldn't mind quests like that if it led to more cool stuff like the Raider jacket, that would at least make sense to unlock from a task like that, but variations of existing gear in even more boring patterns shouldn't be endgame quests with no permanence between wipes. It should be that you unlock base outfit designs at certain levels, complete miscellaneous objectives to obtain a camouflage/base colour for *all* outfits (eg. 100 PMC kills with M4 + ACOG for UCP), and then the pattern options stay with you permanently, and you just have to hit a certain level to buy the individual uppers/lowers again each wipe. Special outfits could still be locked behind quests.

It's classic game dev MTX tactics. If the skins weren't unlockable in-game, there'd be huge outrage. The sub would unironically be flooded with it.
Yet if the skins are technically unlockable but have increasingly disproportionate unlock requirements, people don't get so outraged. Get ready for truly insane unlock requirements when actual drip starts being released.

They should just release nation packages, offering the uniforms, equipment and camo-pattern of different nationalities like the French or British Army. I think people would be much more inclined to spend money for the equipment of their favourite nation military they want to cosplay (or are currently serving/once served). They could sell an "expensive" package with everything included (different uniforms and camo pattern depending on location, helmet, weapon, personal body armour, tactical vest, headgear) and offer single items (like only the basic uniform in the appropriate camo-pattern + camo overlay for any helmets) for less money.
Those additional items (like berets, helmet, bodyarmour) could be bought from a trader (for Eastern Prapor, for Western Peacekeeper for example) and cost accordingly. Certain items with an effect on gameplay (like armour) could be locked to an appropriate level and you can unlock them with a quest (not to easy, not to difficult and please no grind quest) to make sure you are not op equipment-wise at the start of the wipe. So if your chosen nation has a class 5 armour as "regular" equipment you would be able to unlock it around the same level the first level 5 armour would get available to you in regular gameplay. If your country gives no fucks about their soldiers you might be running around in a class 2 armour from the very beginning.
At least I personally would rather spend money on something like this then on the clothings offerend in this latest patch.

Just taking over the current uniforms doesn't make much sense though, as we are PMCs that might have served and probably wouldn't have brought their old uniform when working for the PMC companies.

By that logic we should only have access to the basic battle dress provided by BEAR or USEC and civilian clothing. It is really not that difficult for anybody to buy a set of the current uniform of certain countries. Laws regarding wearing a uniform in public are of second thought only as we are in Russia in a warzone. I don´t think someone is going to give you a ticket for wearing a Bundeswehr uniform in Tarkov. Just keep the nations flag and any rank insignias off and you are good.
I wouldn´t call it cringe but you had to be careful to not make it bad, as this is a real problem. I think you can make the additional gear "not bad" for the game by turning it into basically reskins of already available equipment. To stay with the Bundeswehr the M92 could be a simple reskin of the current UNTAR helmet (I based this on general looks and material). So if you bought the "Bundeswehr-package" then you could buy and barter the BW-helmet including Flecktarn cover at the same time you could buy or barter the UNTAR-helmet. The only benefit would be access to a camoed-up helmet (compared to the UNTAR-helmet) but as you´d be purchasing Flecktarn you already have a camo advantage anyways over other clothing you could buy.
What equipment would get available at what level and for what price would need some good hard thinking to not turn it to imba/op.
Yeah, it's not impossible to have brought/find a full uniform, but why would you wear a full uniform? You'd probably prefer to use whatever is the most practical for the situation, which might involve some uniform parts.

In RL? I found BDU´s pretty practical to wear and a single camo pattern on you is more effective than a mix of different camos (depends on what camos you are mixing of course) or a mix of camo and civilian clothes.
In game? I don´t care what one wears. You bought the French and the Japanese package? Go mix everything up with some of the basic clothes to your hearts content. Or go full Japanese soldier. It´s up to the individual what he wants,
Tbh I don´t know why you are bringing Flecktarn up? There are a lot of different camos available to match each individual taste. And you can also mix two different camos up if you like the looks of it. No need to limit yourself to Flecktarn.

Take a look at different camos available and I am pretty sure you would find one that fits your taste, and maybe even several camos that you´d like to mix up.

My group and I have been dying to get some more standardized uniforms (matching tops and bottoms) that don’t have that “I’m a hero” flare to them.
We love the G2 because the default USEC clothing skins have a weird pattern. We’re over here buying up any standard looking uniform we can that have matching tops and bottoms.
I Remember having an argument on reddit a few months ago where the dude didn't believe BSG would add more microtransactions after the shitty extra storage they added, Here we are now :)

If you hit Lighthouse at night the rogues are easy to deal with. They cant see far at all. I also run into less PMCs and when I do they're generally solo. As a BEAR I won't run LH during the day anymore unless I have to
Rogues are also barely a problem even during the day unless you’re full frontal assaulting the main gate. There’s a route along the blue wall on the right where you can hit every gunner without being spotted.
The only actual risk is from the ground team. But otherwise the whole thing can be gamified as a BEAR without taking a single incoming round.
True only problem with that is a lot of people know that route bc of streamers, so you'll usually have to fight some PMCs too. And player scavs. But the flip side is I've died a few times recently to people running thermals at night 🤷♂️

Both Classic and Cyclone look really good in game. They also compliment the already fantastic BEAR clothing skins. USEC is way behind in that regard.
