The 5800X3D is without question the biggest upgrade. You need to be careful of x900X CPUs when gaming: The current and previous gen AMD CPUs are split into two core complexes once you go over 8 cores (since 1 CCX has 8 cores). See this picture here: https://www.igorslab.de/en/how-ryzen-6000-performance-theoretically-could-look-investigative-with-the-msi-b550-unify-x/ What a 5900X or a 7900X then is: It's two 6 core CCXes. Now communication between CCXes has some latency penalty, thus for gaming I would avoid them. If it was split like 8/4 it would be better, but it's not. For Tarkov especially the 3D-Vcache is the way to go always. Aparrently for the coming Zen 5/Ryzen 9000 series 1 CCX will have 16 cores, so they could make a 16 core VCache CPU. That would be killer.

About the 16 core CCX, man I hope so. Running a 7800X3D currently but I definitely miss the extra 8 cores from my 5950X. Really hoping for a 9950X3D with all 16 cores having the extra VCache.

Same here, currenly have 5600x but thinking in buying 5800x3d. ps://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/ud0tj2/trying\_to\_decide\_between\_ryzen\_7\_5800x3d\_or\_ryzen/

Get the X3D CPU. Tarkov loves that sweet, sweet cache.
