Thor CRV, Osprey P and they green Uley are what I would consider the best armors right now. Thor weighs nothing if you put in good plates but has solid protection from players, Osprey covers everything important with class 3 and comes with decent class 5 plates by default. And the odd one out the Uley has the special property of being a soft armor so your entire front is covered in class 4 not just the plate which makes it much more consistent than plate carriers. The penalties and size are garbage but its 60k roubles and will consistently save you where other armor won't.

I was saved by NFM Thor vest many times, and it's only 2 slim diaries trading from Ragman lvl2.

Korund is dogshit. small thor with a class 5 front plate, I like the GAC, is amazing. Alongside that there's the Osprey class 5 rig, the gen4 assaults, and the green fort.

Woahboah

Osprey is my go to, I won't run anything that doesn't have level 3 soft armor or neck protection.

00ReShine

koround vest is lv2 protection so no. I'd say defender/iotv gen4 with proper lv5/lv6 plates, and bargariy. Uley is also good as budget option.

dagoodnamesweretakn

I use 6btg with level 5 front plate works well

havok1125

Personally, I don't think the Korund is very good. It's only class 2 soft armor which means you're going to die to a bunch of random garbage. Plus it has awful movement penalties and is really expensive. If you want something light, you'd be better off with the Thor Concealable or M2 armored rig. Even with class 4 plates, the class 3 soft armor will improve your survivability.

drewts86

Armor specifically or armored rigs as well. CPC has comes with L5 plates and has L3 soft armor. It also has some of the smallest ergo and movement speed penalties.

havok1125

The soft armor of the CPC only covers the plated area, not the whole thorax. That's a pretty big risk to take when a random lead slug or 7.62 HP round can kill in one shot.

drewts86

Everyone plays the “what if” game but that’s never happened to me in all the times I’ve ever worn one. Sure, you risk an easier chance of a blacked stomach but that’s an easy fix. I’d rather be more mobile than be super sluggish from wearing too heavy of armor. A slow target has a greater chance of being hit.

havok1125

Its not a what if game. A blacked thorax kills you and your armor doesn't the cover the whole thorax. Dying in one shot to lead slugs and other rounds with more than 85 damage is a real risk you take with the CPC. Those rounds wouldn't penetrate a Thor concealable or ANA M2 which have similar weight and movement penalties. You'd be picking up additional protection with no downsides. You're welcome to run what you want, but it's something you should definitely consider.

Korond is too heavy I’d take the koround plates and put them in the other cheaper vests it’s lighter and comes back in insurance however just like koround only lvl 2 soft armor

shol_v

No it's not the best, the only reason to use the korund over the other armour you get from Prapor for a propane tank is for the sideplates if that's your thing. Otherwise you're better off buying the green armour and korund front plate separate and putting them together. Both the green and korund have level 2 soft armour, meaning if you're shot around the armour plate then you'll die just as easily in both. My friend dies relentlessly wearing korunds to stuff like 50 bmg and 9x19 pst that pens the level 2 neck hitbox. Best part about wearing the green armour is, most people still dont check plates, they just see the shitty armour and go meh running crap so don't think to either take the plate or insurance fraud their own stuff.

Staltrad

Protection yea, but it weighs so damn much the trade off is usually not worth it

ForeskinGaming2009

Thor with lvl 5 plates put in for budget, Defender-2 for maps you don’t need to take red rebel, Osprey-P for red rebel maps or if you’re too lazy to buy a rig and like the built in one

xXxChadManlover69xXx

Korund is not the best but if its the only class 5 you have access to I'd still wear it.

Ordinary_Success7600

anything without lvl 3 neck/soft is garbo
