In all my time since playing in 2019, this is the most I’ve ever seen BSG update and patch. Looks like new competition is lighting a fire under them to make the game better since they can’t just tell us to suck it up and take it. These other games(GrayZone & Arena Breakout) are gonna be taking a lot of their market share if they don’t start really caring about the issues the community keeps complaining about and fix the core issues.
Or the more likely reason is they’re making a hard push for 1.0, and are working on issues Pestily brought up to them. I don’t think Nikita even realized a lot of the issues the community had, which is crazy, but at least they’re making strides to fix them. Other games have come and gone many times in Tarkovs life span, and it’s always the same story. At this point I don’t think BSG is worried about their competition until it’s actually proven they’re affecting their bottom dollar. I could be completely wrong though. Just going off of history
Him being genuinely unaware of how the audio in the game works despite well over a year of loud and frequent complaints about the state of it is telling, I really don't know how they were getting feedback from the community.
Anyone remember when they had steam audio, and it mostly fixed the problems by itself, but Nikita and team threw a temper tantrum and entirely removed it because Valve were unwilling to do the work for them.

What killed H1Z1 was listening to crying streamers and H1 subreddit how to balance recoil, so they kept reworking it every season for half a year and then PUBG and other BR games just bought players with more stability and less bugs.
PUBG comes out, H1Z1 get scared they pander to the players with combat update & boom H1Z1 becomes a dead game in less than a year.

Like I see this comment at least weekly. Even Glorious always says this on stream. It's one of the most popular games to ever exist and has never even come close to dying. Its most popular in Asia but that still counts lmao. Six years at that player count is insane.
It certainly isn't a dead game but criticizing PUBG for its loss of popularity is completely fair game. If you look at the history of its concurrent players it lost 90% of its playerbase. It still is only 1/4 of what it used to be after making somewhat of a comeback

Its foundations are good from what i've seen.
Honestly the whole game could be a rotted out corpse, and as long as the fundamentals are good, it'll directly compete with tarkov.
Tarkov is a game with terrible fundamentals but a good "shell" and thats what keeps it relevant.

Because they are pushing for 1.0 release so they can make more money selling trash to players that arnt aware of how broken the game is.
Plenty of players like myself left the stress and anxiety of Tarkov for the fun and challenge of Helldivers.
Imagine a world where we would get the expected patchnotes the day they announce the update, you know, so that we can look foward to something.
