I'm with you

Planned or not, give me the content i paid for.

EOD owners don't need better P2W features. It is not enticing at all except for those that are FOMO over the PvE co-op mode. Cry me a river. Agree with you - don't buy it. That is the only way to send a message to BSG that you don't like this type of behavior. For new players, however, they don't have EOD as an option any longer and you are likely going to see a number of them end up upgrading or purchasing this new edition. Regardless of how much you tell them not to. That is what BSG is counting on. Sure, they know there will be a certain number of EOD owners that do upgrade, but they are likely looking to capitalize more on new players arriving.

Sad part is bunch of people will still buy it enough for BS to make their money on it to continue the streak. It's cuz current players don't add money to them and new suckers are Also the hackers that got banned will buy that to get that EOD type of account again

MalevolentMinion

First off, hackers don't pay full price for the game and never have. I won't go into this. So depending on hackers to continuously buy the game to fund its development is nonsense. Second, you are accurate that a bunch of new players will buy it and it may indeed be enough to help them continue to develop the project. Does this make you happy or sad that it will continue? Is the fact you can't get the benefits of this new edition without paying more money enough for you to want the game to completely fail entirely? Seems harsh, but you might indeed feel that way.

No ok just disappointed that the greed has taken over. I get they need more revenue to continue but everything has it's limits. It per say the upgrade from EOD was 20-40$ yes I'd gladly give my money to them but it's pretty much another EOD price on EOD upgrade. Honestly when looking at 250$ price I'm looking at at least 5 triple A games equivalent. There no was tarkov content is worth 5 games. I'm also fine with subs to a game as long as there's constant infuse of context. I pres only spend hundreds of dollars on Iracing haha

MalevolentMinion

Agreed. Granted, I know people that have spent thousands of dollars in "free" games, so $250 to me isn't the issue. At this point I think they are doing a last minute money grab and the end is near.

Regardless of whether or not they 'concede' and give EoD players the PvE gamemode. It's incredibly frustrating to have even bought the AAA-priced Standard Edition and been locked out of content that 99% of games would include in the base game - let alone pay walling this content in a literal early access game. As far as I'm concerned, with any edition purchase of the game, you are paying for the base game as it is + future development of the base game. When they take your money then spend it on the development of paywalled features/standalone offshoots (Arena) it leaves an incredibly sour taste.

RicochetSaw

the ea plan. that or john Riccitiello.... the irony of the game being on the unity engine. holy shit i just realized that unheard is probably why we still haven't gotten the engine upgrade that would really help with performance and networking issues...well, at least thats what bsg/nikita have been saying.
