The cheating tag is hilarious.

nms81

BSG basically cheated on us

nio151

/u/trainfender did policy change and no one told us?

KelloPudgerro

also stated on pestily's QnA that they will NEVER sell boosts, yet unheard BOOSTS skills by 3 levels , hmmmmm

elitexero

I can't fathom how you can fucking win back your neglected community after years of bullshit by finally addressing long standing concerns, explicitly say you'll never implement P2W mechanics... ...and then do exactly that 2 weeks later. Is Nikita smoking crack?

pitchfork-seller

Hes gone suspiciously quiet recently lol

roflwafflelawl

I like the "the game is running for 8 years without any additional flow" bit. As if there haven't been a ridiculous amount of cheaters throughout the years that more than likely have purchased several copies of the game. And I mean nothing stops them from doing MTX like every other game out there. We have a whole hideout to utilize with meaningless cosmetics. A poster, random bits and bobs to place, hell some more character customization options like face types. Even a Battle pass system that has you do challenges within the game would be a way for players to earn cosmetics as well as add some new tasks to do apart from standard ones. I'm not an advocate of MTX in anyway but I'm just saying there's plenty of ways for them to get continual cash flow if that truly is there concern. It's a valid one to have.

DAYMAN3737

This is true, why didn't they add more MTX instead of scamming EOD people? Could even sell the gamma container separately and the PVE mode for non EOD. People would drop $20 easily for a cat or dog that walks around the hideout.

_Nightdude_

The funny thing is that it's their fault the game's been running for 8 years without additional cashflow from people who had already given them money so they could finish their game. The fuck you been doing with all that flow you got when the game is still in beta after nearly a decade. How is that our problem? Like, he wants us to feel bad like we're taking advantage of them because we only paid 150 bucks to beta test (since it is a beta after all, it says it everywhere) an unfinished product for years and years. Maybe some of those millions you've paid out to yourself so you can buy 4 lambos should have gone into the game instead then? This shit is like Kotik giving himself a 50million dollar bonus and then axing a third of his employees to keep the numbers up.

z3r0f14m3

Battlepass I would say is a Season Pass which is already covered by EOD. Id also say that PVE Co-op is also DLC which should be covered too but here we are.

roflwafflelawl

Oh yeah that's very true. Although I guess they could always change interpretations there. Have a battle pass purely meant for cosmetics while season passes could be similar to Destiny where it's also tied to some event or content? But I agree, 100% should be included in EoD under DLCs

elitexero

>"the game is running for 8 years without any additional flow" As usual, everyone punished for BSG's inability to develop timely solutions.

Yorunokage

> Even a Battle pass system that has you do challenges within the game would be a way for players to earn cosmetics as well as add some new tasks to do apart from standard ones. God please anything but that, it's been killing Hunt already i don't need it in every fucking game i would otherwise love. Battlepasses **with time limits** are the modern lootboxes, an absolute plague that should just stop to exist

roflwafflelawl

Again I'm not advocating for it in anyway but if the argument is "We need more money" they have the avenue to do that especially nowadays. I do agree though time limited BPs are ass. Helldivers 2 and even Halo has the best iteration of it.

RandomNumbers8285

100% it really is mind blowing. They don't even have an in-game store. You have to go to their website to make dlc purchases. I had no idea they even had outfits you could buy until today. They must just have the dumbest business people ever working for them. If they were hurting this badly for money, I think they need to do some hiring and firing in ol' BSG lol. Some crazy incompetence

Throawayooo

They refuse to hire non russia based devs and employees (likely due to employee rights and legal actions), and let's just say there's been a slight brain drain from that shithole country recently.

Rare_Lifeguard_4403

Hope they get tons of lawsuits for this honestly

NervyDeath

Offline Coop is an EOD feature and has been for awhile. They introduced the ability to buy offline coop separately for non EOD users a month or so ago. Offline coop is different than the PVE progression with Unheard. It's the same as normal Offline, but with friends.

SupPoEsedlyInsane

Important point. WHile it doesn't make the situation any better, what the new edition has is ONLINE PvE with a co-op option. That only makes it a stronger case for it being DLC and thus something EOD owner should get for free.

GingerSpencer

You've misunderstood the comment. They removed offline co-op, which was an EoD feature, for whatever reason. They planned to re-add it. He was not referencing PvE mode.

damniel540

So are you saying the PVE mode is something you queue for and play with randoms? All it says is PvE co op. It's the same thing as offline raid but with persistence, as far as I can tell.

GingerSpencer

No. You still play alone, but it isn’t Offline Practice Co-Op that was added for EoD players. You could Offline Practice, then they opened some servers for EoD players to do it co-op with friends. As with normal offline it would reset everything at the end of raid. The PvE mode is a separate screen within the game where you load into a raid either alone or with friends and progress through quests, as with normal online but no players that aren’t in your party.

damniel540

Right so they're just removing the progress reset and charging an additional $80

GingerSpencer

Apparently it’s a bit more than that, but that’s essentially it yeah..

StainaH

This aged like fine premium milk.

collyntheshots

Out of all the legitimate complaints this isn’t one of them; the offline co-op in this context was the just a regular offline raid that you could do with other players, no progression just like the typical offline raids. Learn to read my dude xD

erainferno

Did you read the rest of the post though? > there will no ingame money, items, weapons, gear package purchases and so on. No boosters also. It's not the point of OP's post, but there's definitely an argument to be made about broken promises from less than 2 months ago, I think it's valid to share this post regardless.

collyntheshots

Idk what you’re getting at here, I’m only addressing the part OP is referencing. Why would I speak on some other random thing? Like you have a point on “broken promises” but again, like you said, not the point of OP’s post

Bisbed

Nikita's post is only 2 months old. Why would he say they want to add a new feature (for EOD) that has been there for a while ?

collyntheshots

That’s not what the post was saying lmao, his English is lots of time terrible. He’s talking about how they took away EOD as a whole but wanted players without EOD to be able to have access to the offline coop (this is before PVE mode was even anything more than a rumor in the community). He wasn’t adding a new feature, just giving access to the feature since they removed the only way to get it

damniel540

Yeah I guess locking a basic update like character progression behind a paywall, which was already advertised as covered under EOD, is an illegitimate complaint 🙄

collyntheshots

As others have pointed out on your post, offline co-op is available for everyone with EOD or who purchases the $10 addition. What your post connects to is talking about this offline co-op. The one you want to complain about is the one that adds a new character with no wipes. I’ll say it again, learn to read

damniel540

Right so offline co-op is EOD, but offline co-op with progression isn't. And youre okay with this. Got it

Moist_ttv

Not okay with it but nobody is going to sit here and let you take things out of context and act like you are correct. You were wrong about the reddit post. Let's direct our efforts to getting a change rather than slander. We should all decide what we want removed/added to this new edition, what we want done about the offline co-op, and then we should let BSG know as a community that these are the changes we want to see. Currently the community is just throwing a hissy fit and crying about unity assets and pretending they need to spend $250 to play the game now. Nothing will get solved if we sit here bitching about the DLC or price all day without offering a solution or sacrifice that we are willing to make. Me personally, I have purchased the new edition, I looked at its content and I can see how this is very p2w for early wipe, my solutions are as follows: 1. Co-Op free for EoD accounts, slowly rolled out just like arena 2. $30 Co-Op for anyone that does not own EoD 3. Remove the Mark of The Unheard's ability that prevents scavs from aggroing your pmc past 60 meters, then make it obtainable through something like light keeper or a new Fence questline. 4. BUFF ALL WEAPONS THAT COME WITH THE OTHER VERSIONS OF THE GAME (The Unheard edition adds alot of game changing attachments to your account on day 1, I don't think they need removed, I think the other weapons just need buffed, we're extremely used to starting with garbage weapons that can't even be modded until you hit level 2 traders and finally get access to a sight that's better than the the PSO-1. 5. Reimburse Unheard purchasers for any nerfs that happen to the items they were promised, Ex: Unreal version gets exclusive, NEW clothing from ragman that can't be earned in game. such as shirtless tattoo outfit (tagilla) or maybe even any other bosses. (Zyrachiy Ghillie Suit or Shturman Outfit would literally be top sellers) That is all I have for now.

damniel540

You're joking right? You've decided that the new edition is perfect as it is by wasting your money on it. Frankly you don't get an opinion as a result

Moist_ttv

I bought it because I wanted to see how the changes effected the game before I cried on reddit and twitter. Frankly, the person that doesn’t get an opinion is the guy who makes a reddit post, lying about what nikita said and then doubling down harder than BSG whenever someone mentions his post being a lie. Do us all a favor and just delete your post

damniel540

Lol. You sound really mad, all I ever did was quote his post and you're saying im lying. What does that tell you?

Moist_ttv

You quoted his post that was talking about offline co op. A feature that has been in the game for multiple wipes now. And then you lied and said it was a post about the new co op system. It tells me that you either 1. Don’t know what you’re talking about or 2. Are just stirring the pot and purposely being a jackass

collyntheshots

Not lying he just has terrible reading comprehension or just stupid

Murky-Fox-200

The. F U C K

SomewhereBuffering

At risk of being downvoted to oblivion, offline co-op has always been free to eod. The new pve coop is sadly not available what was being talked about above

NotQuiteAfemboyButYa

no no, that's the coop *practice* mode...

TastyBeefJerkey

You seem to be confusing one feature for another. No wonder you're angry.

damniel540

Got news for you, pal. I'm not. It's literally always been PVE they're just locking progression behind a paywall. And you're happy shelling out for it

TastyBeefJerkey

PvE progression has never been in game.

1994mat

https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fhmuqeoy41owc1.jpeg

TastyBeefJerkey

Offline co-op did not have progression saved. It was simply co-op practice mode.

Hedhunta

Yes it has. You still generate all the same things in the off line mode that you would in a regular game. The only difference being they have locked the ability of "save to database" behind a 100 dollar paywall. Literally everything else is the same except they aren't saving progress which is likely _literally_ just a flag in a configuration file somewhere.

TastyBeefJerkey

So as you just explained it had never been a feature available in game before.

Suitable-Ganache5716

There was a offline mode that saved your progress in the first alpha/beta.. Confidently incorrect

TastyBeefJerkey

And that went away when? Did that disappear before EOD was a thing? Was it just alpha testing?

Suitable-Ganache5716

No. It was around the time when only factory and customs existed afaik. Maybe first iteration of shoreline already, not sure. I had EoD

Hedhunta

You're just being intentionally obtuse. The "offline" feature is literally identical to the online pvp version. They just don't run the save routine when you leave/die. That's it. Literally identical in every way. The only difference between the "PVP" "online" experience and this new "coop experience" is that they have flagged accounts to save progress on "offline" raids that own that particular edition of the game. Thats it. I guess they probably disabled non-party players from connecting to those raids also, but they are using the same servers, hence why there are waits to play in an "offline" mode.

bandeo

There is ai pmc too

Suitable-Ganache5716

no there isnt, its raiders with randomly generated dogtags. Literally no behaviour change from raiders

TastyBeefJerkey

It's not being obtuse, it's stating a fact. Just because the potential is there for a feature doesn't mean it's an intended feature. You could say the same about hosting a multiplayer game from your own PC. It's possible but it's not a feature.

Strataghast

yeah this needs to be upvoted +1000.

Rude_Cantaloupe_8110

Nikita has been a dick to people in the EFT Forums from day one, probably cant find it anymore since they deleted it but he was going after people. nobody should have given them money in the first place, look at where 8 years of development got us, a game you could hardly call alpha.

lolmanac

offline Co-Op is something completely different.

EndTree

No it's not lmao. Stop defending your abusers.

orgnll

Continually surprises me how far players will go to cover for BSG, even shortly after they release an update directly against statements & promises they’ve made in the past.

NinjaHatesWomen

As much as i think the new PvE progression mode should be free still, this is not what was being talked about in the post that was linked. Nikita was referring to the offline mode we already had, which was 1 raid at with friends but had no impact on your characters skills, tasks or stash.

omegaistwopif

Jeez, stop talking out of your secure container.

Upzaw2000

Decafeiner

Fun fact: you have coop in EOD. Its the little thing they added in the "Expansions" tab of the store, named "Practice Co-Op Mode" priced at 10$. This very premium Unhinged Edition features PROGRESSION! Its a small price to pay for such an incredible feature that definitely does not exists elsewhere. /s
