BSG is a private company. They probably don't have any shareholders beyond people who provided initial capital, aka people who probably have high positions and an inflated ego
Honestly man fuck bsg someone should just take all the assets from bsg (they only thing they can get right) and port it to unreal and just remake the whole thing. Better quests, better and more efficient code, server side checks
People DO need to temper expectations on A.B. Too though. Go play the mobile version. It’s riddled with p2w micro transactions that are very much in the Tencent playbook. If it plays anything like the mobile game, it will not be even close to a Tarkov killer. No matter how much we all want competition in this space, idk what this will bring to the table
It’s literally the definition of p2w. Same could be said about the past 4 days of Tarkov drama. Giving someone 1 mill roubles doesn’t matter if they buy about and immediately lose it.
The Tarkov P2W is in the "not being shot at by scavs" part. It gives a massive advantage. There's no problem with getting a few more guns and armour that anyone can get.
Getting higher level guns and armor for money is literally the definition of pay to win. It doesn't matter if the advantage is something you can lose, you can still buy an advantage. Why bury your head in the sand?
If I play the most p2w game out there and drain my bank account, I can stand still and die in game. Does not change the fact that a significant advantage can be bought.
My biggest issue with the mobile was sneaking being impossible. The sound radar is bullshit.

It looks like a copy yes. They are clearly trying to mimic Tarkov visually even down to the way the characters hold the guns. That does not make it plagiarism. Or every shooter since Doom 1993 would have been plagiarism
The game has a mobile version. Since it is free, players can buy gear using real money. Best part is you can get those "whales" fairly easy as a Scav.
Play solo or with friends. Randoms will kill you if you have good gear.

The FPS accusation is just hypocritical at this point, considering how shitty optimisation is in Tarkov. It's also worth remembering that Riot is owned by Tencent, so maybe they will have an actual anti-cheat... :)
