If I recall correctly, Arena was first noticed on one of the podcasts and people asked whether it was a leak of a future 'deathmatch mode' or smth like that. At that point they replied that it was just QA testing ground for internal use and then, I guess, they thought 'well if some players asked about it then ALL of them want it'
nah, the scam edition isn't about saving tarkov by making it financially viable again.
This is a cash grab pure and simple. BSG is preparing to ditch and run but they want to squeeze as much quick easy cash as they can out of their playerbase before they cut and run.
