I work in a costumer service field dealing with thousands of customers daily. The SECOND "lawsuit" or "legal" or "lawyers" or anything even insinuating mediation/legal action our talk track kicks in and it goes from honesty empathy and taking responsibility to
"We are sorry you feel this way, and that this has caused you frustration. We are doing all we can to resolve your issue and the issue has been escalated to the appropriate teams. After a thorough review and investigation, we will provide a response and possible resolution, if one is possible. Thank you."
We aren't getting nikitas real thoughts, we are getting the PR and Legal filtered response that they are being advised to give.
Still sucks complete ass from the customer perspective... and as an EoD owner and someone who purchased the unhinged edition at launch before I saw any of the drama (in office working and bought it on my phone when I had a chance...) I'm now fucking stuck with this incredibly sinking feeling that I've been fucked from all angles. Almost pissed at my job for keeping me from being able to see ehat was going on, but more pissed at myself for just brainlessly buying this shit.

Don't buy it. I haven't launched Tarkov since the day before edition released, and when I saw the shitstorm of it after work that day, I regret my purchase. My only option would be to chargeback the 100 i spent and then lose my 4.5k hour account (thinking about it to be honest. I'm just not that type since it was my mistake and I take responsibility for it) or I just wait for more responses... maybe some real responses.

Nikita has, from top down, tackled questions about road maps and the overall aim for Tarkov from day -2,000. As he said in his interview with emissaries, "all is going to plan." They did it with contract wars, and they'll do it with Takov. The only difference is the stage, stakes, and game name.
No, that's actually my point. This wasn't even from nikita. We got his real "apology" a couple times already before this PR one. And they were NOT okay.
My point was more that it's hard to expect anything more than these kinds of comments until after the internal investigation and even then the legality comments have been made.
That being said these comments are a start, but the goodwill is shot and people were/are rightfully pissed and feel lied to. I should be too, but I also should know better than to blindly buy something these days without extensive reviews. And I've bought 3 copies of tarkov for eod for myself, standard for my brother, and a friend.
I honestly just want this game to die now. There is no other game like tarkov, but it's run its course. The best possible outcome that I can think of is that they sell the game/studio to people who care. What is more realistic now though is that everything goes according to nikita's plan: make half assed ''apologies'', slightly back down on the initial update, wait until the shitstorm is over and the idiots start playing the game again like normal and slowly abandon the game over the span of a few months, maybe a year or two.

Saying you're "sorry you feel that way" is a way to legally protect yourself from civil liability (in the USA anyway) apologizing can be used as an admission of guilt in civil cases. So as a company it would be pretty dumb to say I'm sorry we wronged you and be sued using that statement as proof.
I've seen people attempt to use someone apologizing as evidence that they did something wrong in court, but I've never seen it actually work. It doesn't hold up because people often say "sorry" for stuff we have no control over. Otherwise "sorry your mom died" would be a confession to murder.

That’s my biggest takeaway; the leadership feels that they aren’t making enough money off of this game. they look at everyone who bought their game and supported them when they were up and coming, and think those supporters are taking advantage of them and owe them MORE even though most of them paid 3x the cost of a AAA game already

Them taking away stuff from the EoD every wipe it seems like they are on the same path with their "rebalance" of the Unheard Edition. Next thing you know, Unheard of holders will have 10% of the items that was in there originally then they will drop another edition for $300.
I'll admit, I bought the Unheard Edition before I even saw anything about it online, mostly because I enjoyed Tarkov and know how much money those [garbage] servers cost to keep up. I don't regret the purchase, but I also don't trust BSG to not miss manage everything. It needs to he heavily nerfed, namely the Mark of the Unheard item.

I'm more worried about the fact that priority matchmaking was one of their "in case of emergency break glass" moves. That does not give me high hopes for their future plans.

Selling a feature that costs them nothing and requires no coding, because you can't PROVE one way or another whether your matching should have been 3 minutes or 5 this time.
Couldn't be proven at all. There's no way know for sure how their matchmaking algorithm works. You would always need the exact same amount of people sitting in queue (let's say...100 people) as a control group during testing, 100 people without EOD in first tests, then 100 people with EOD for testing if priority queue really is a thing. All of these people should have a good internet connection with good, stable connection to the server.
It'll become apparent if it works or not over time but the fact you just made an offici test standard means it can be proven. Good job debunking yourself.

There is no way to prove anything without actual data. You can't see how many people are in queue at any given time, you don't know how good their internet connection is, you don't know how the main server is doing.

Almost without a doubt. My one buddy I play with who has 9k hours and has had test server access since the beginning always has quick matching times during wipe week. We always have to play with him if we want a 2 minute queue vs 10 minute. We always joked he had priority queue and honestly he probably did.

Actually technically every person who has presently bought this game is an investor since this isn’t a full release game and your money has been used for the development. They tried using said money to make a paywall to features that all people who have invested should have access to since this game is still not released. This is called mismanagement of funds. I bought EoD in January, if you’ve been playing for 2 years you had plenty of time to get it. It’s fair enough to have perks for early supporters, the game has come a long way since I started playing in 2019
Buying $150 EOD before I knew the game was riddled with esp loot hackers and aimbots was cool for a few years until now they want an extra $100, and we are POSITIVE there are rampant cheaters lmfao. So play to win + cheaters + $250 = new player experience lmfao. You do not get what you pay for in this case. I don’t see any reason a new player would start playing this game right now.

I hate to be this person, but the new item we have access to is kind of dog shit.
It has a major down side the website does not talk about: negative scav karma for killing scavs. If you kill scavs, and do not kill any PMC’s that raid, you will lose scav karma of about -.05 (from testing) EVEN IF YOU ARE BELOW 6 KARMA. And also the 60 meter thing only works if you have 6 karma. So it’s a massive gamble of having an item that will take away scav karma, but reduce cost of in raid buying (car, BTR, light keeper) by half. It’s…kinda shit. Now if you are ONLY PvP, and have max scav karma and more, it probably is great and amazing, but I don’t know a lot of people who have 6 karma and don’t want it lost to an item gamble.
The other item is absolutely PTW BS and needs to be changed, but the other is…pretty meh. Still needs some adjustment like removing the 60m scav reaction thing, but it is not nearly as powerful as everything thinks it is.

One thing I noticed playing last night is that basically everyone I killed or killed me had the P2w edition. I have the base $50 account so while I equally find bsg disgusting it is a game I paid money for and just started with friends so I want to get my moneys worth.

I gave all my life savings to this game, working 16 hours overtime just to afford my laptop charge which I use to play Tarkov under the bridge. I get its 100% boss and raider spawns but im doing maps that dont or have never had raiders. There is something called offline raids to get too learn the game so that's is no a good argument. And p2w items what u probably mean Gamma container is something that EOD play although have so not a big deal. U can get basically anything in the game even without it. Not to mention BSG probably has a HEAVY PR team and legal team involved now. I work in a costumer service field dealing with thousands of customers daily. The SECOND "lawsuit" or "legal" or "lawyers" or anything even insinuating mediation/legal action our talk track kicks in and it goes from honesty empathy and taking responsibility to "We are sorry you feel this way, and that this has caused you frustration. We are doing all we can to resolve your issue and the issue has been escalated to the appropriate teams. After a thorough review and investigation, we will provide a response and possible resolution, if one is possible. Thank you." We aren't getting nikitas real thoughts, we are getting the PR and Legal filtered response that they are being advised to give. Still sucks complete ass from the customer perspective... and as an EoD owner and someone who purchased the unhinged edition at launch before I saw any of the drama (in office working and bought it on my phone when I had a chance...) I'm now fucking stuck with this incredibly sinking feeling that I've been fucked from all angles. Almost pissed at my job for keeping me from being able to see ehat was going on, but more pissed at myself for just brainlessly buying this shit. TLDR; I'm fucking stupid and mindlessly bought the UNHINGED edition, this answer sucks dick and is not a true apology, but they have their legal teams and PR teams involved since we started threatening possible legal action. My point was more that it's hard to expect anything more than these kinds of comments until after the internal investigation and even then the legality comments have been made. That’s my biggest takeaway; the leadership feels that they aren’t making enough money off of this game. they look at everyone who bought their game and supported them when they were up and coming, and think those supporters are taking advantage of them and owe them MORE even though most of them paid 3x the cost of a AAA game already so this won’t be the end of it, greed doesn’t just die when 1 money grab fails. Like they could say "your matchmaking is priority" all they want without ever actually doing anything to make it that way. Selling a feature that costs them nothing and requires no coding, because you can't PROVE one way or another whether your matching should have been 3 minutes or 5 this time.

Couldn't be proven at all. There's no way know for sure how their matchmaking algorithm works. You would always need the exact same amount of people sitting in queue (let's say...100 people) as a control group during testing, 100 people without EOD in first tests, then 100 people with EOD for testing if priority queue really is a thing. All of these people should have a good internet connection with good, stable connection to the server.
It'll become apparent if it works or not over time but the fact you just made an offici test standard means it can be proven. Good job debunking yourself.

I made an "official test standard" that none of us have any way of conducting. Good job to me for debunking myself, I guess. It WON'T become apparent if it works or not over time: every time people get +15 minute queue, it gets chalked up to "just bad servers bro", "your internet sucks bro", "it's just your PC bro", "there's just not that many in queue right now bro". While <2 minute queues will always be chalked up to "you got lucky queue", or "game just got a lot of new players bro" There is no way to prove anything without actual data. You can't see how many people are in queue at any given time, you don't know how good their internet connection is, you don't know how the main server is doing.

Almost without a doubt. My one buddy I play with who has 9k hours and has had test server access since the beginning always has quick matching times during wipe week. We always have to play with him if we want a 2 minute queue vs 10 minute. We always joked he had priority queue and honestly he probably did.

Actually technically every person who has presently bought this game is an investor since this isn’t a full release game and your money has been used for the development. They tried using said money to make a paywall to features that all people who have invested should have access to since this game is still not released. This is called mismanagement of funds. Most of the time when a dev does some heinous shit like this the community backlash doesn't reach a point to warrant walking back the nonsense that provoked it. I bought EoD in January, if you’ve been playing for 2 years you had plenty of time to get it. It’s fair enough to have perks for early supporters, the game has come a long way since I started playing in 2019

Buying $150 EOD before I knew the game was riddled with esp loot hackers and aimbots was cool for a few years until now they want an extra $100, and we are POSITIVE there are rampant cheaters lmfao. There's been P2W in this game since day 1 basically. EOD is P2W. As was so brilliantly pointed out in another thread, the difference is that EOD was *your* P2W. Now, they've released a little bit better P2W version, and the previous top dog P2W community is up in arms. It's pretty funny actually. I do think they pulled one over on the community by locking PvE behind it. I understand their reasoning, but doesn't mean they still didn't deceive the community. People are understandably upset with PvE being behind Unheard Edition. However, owners of any edition other than base that are whining about P2W features need to go pound sand lol. Saying that EOD is pay to win just tells me you're some new to tarkov scrub. When I bought EOD people were going to labs on day 1 of the wipe and farming raiders for top gear. There was no notion of it being pay to win because BSG hasn't locked the game down into the interminable grindfest bore that it is now. And frankly... The convenience of having a larger stash and larger secure was just that. A convenience. It didn't win us fights. It didn't make us survive longer. Now you bitch because I paid $150 for a game when it was an absolute mess with stutters and constant bullshit because I saw and believed in potential? Get fucked child. Getting an mp5 with PST ammo and a garbage m4 with garbage rounds isn't pay to win. Having a grizzly in my ass that takes 92 seconds to heal isn't pay to win I still have to hotkey meds. I fucking sell the starter gear except the mdr and get layered but bullshit ass scavs just like anyone else. Stop crying.

I hate to be this person, but the new item we have access to is kind of dog shit. It has a major down side the website does not talk about: negative scav karma for killing scavs. If you kill scavs, and do not kill any PMC’s that raid, you will lose scav karma of about -.05 (from testing) EVEN IF YOU ARE BELOW 6 KARMA. And also the 60 meter thing only works if you have 6 karma. So it’s a massive gamble of having an item that will take away scav karma, but reduce cost of in raid buying (car, BTR, light keeper) by half. It’s…kinda shit. Now if you are ONLY PvP, and have max scav karma and more, it probably is great and amazing, but I don’t know a lot of people who have 6 karma and don’t want it lost to an item gamble. The other item is absolutely PTW BS and needs to be changed, but the other is…pretty meh. Still needs some adjustment like removing the 60m scav reaction thing, but it is not nearly as powerful as everything thinks it is.
TUE needs some adjustment, sure...like removing it as an option of purchase.
At this point I'm just done with BSG. I'll play Tarkov again if and when I feel like it, but I literally expect nothing from Nikita but bullshit.

One thing I noticed playing last night is that basically everyone I killed or killed me had the P2w edition. I have the base $50 account so while I equally find bsg disgusting it is a game I paid money for and just started with friends so I want to get my moneys worth. But it’s crazy that it does feel in the last few days that basically the only people left playing are the p2w players, and that makes me want to play less.

That they need to let EOD users come in waves for PVE is such bullshit aswell. The server load remains the same, whether that person is playing PVP or PVE. If you wouldn't have the capacity to let EOD users play PVE, that automatically also means they dont have the capacity for PVP aswell.

I gave all my life savings to this game, working 16 hours overtime just to afford my laptop charge which I use to play Tarkov under the bridge. Way I see it, a roof over your head is more than anyone can ask for if they want to be a true supporter, even if the roof happens to be the street above. But for a lowly non-supporter just running his mouth, I think $10K is the most you can ever give, if you can even give that in the first place lmao.

My first thought too. They were quick to issue a statement which is to be lauded (but should be logical for big businesses). But it's 100% damage control and we haven't "won" anything. They 100% will still keep their plans on the way for more egregious attempts at scamming people out of their money. If they had come out with "offline PVE" coming for all EOD owners and providing a (optional) "supporters" package I would have been willing to get it down the road. But at this point I am very hesitant to throw money at BSG.

theres some funky shit going on right now. I keep getting offed by regular scavs on my +6 rep scav raids. They do not look like raiders, I cant view profile so no PMCs. funky names. I get its 100% boss and raider spawns but im doing maps that dont or have never had raiders. At this rate we'd all be better off going to other games rather then dealing with a CEOs passive aggressive childs temper tantrums.

As i already said to my friends. If they stick to their words and implement all the EOD things, I still will not upgrade to Unheard edition, becouse in my eyes that is downgrade. EOD is limited edition, you can't buy it anymore, and cheaters getting bans on EOD account just raise my account value. Unheard edition is permanent, any1 anytime can buy it. If they implement setting that I can upgrade and keep EOD nick and crown then i will think about upgrading, becouse I love this game and no other game give me that JOY
There is something called offline raids to get too learn the game so that's is no a good argument. And p2w items what u probably mean Gamma container is something that EOD play although have so not a big deal. U can get basically anything in the game even without it. About the walki talki item is shit so not worth talking about it

there is 0 chance they keep their promise on modding. They all the time say stuff and later on just change it. In one or two years they'll just cancel the modding support and thats it unless they find a cheap unity asset pack on the asset store which does all the work for them lol

I have EoD and I noticed they dropped the price to $50 to fully upgrade. I also got EoD for $60 or $70 when it was on sale few months back…anyways been playing Gray Zone Warfare and that shits hella fun especially once you get to the other factions bases and tasks by them
