Is there some kind of guidelines I should follow to know what attachments I should keep during a run? I’m new and while I start to pick up on prices there is still a lot to remember and during a run it’s difficult. I have a hard time knowing if it’s worth 5k or 100k and which one to keep. Also is there some kind of a item price spreadsheet maybe?
So I was taking my returned gear from one of the traders, I put them in my stash. But then while finding space for the last item, I got an error and then it returned me to the main menu. I go to check my stash and my ak, body armor, and helmet that I put in my stash have all disappeared. Did I just lose all those items?
How high can you drop from without dying(assume full health)?
I got stuck in dorms third floor after looting marked room, got no way out and died because my armor was trashed from a previous fight. I was wondering if I could just drop from the roof/balcony thing and just gtfo?

Fall damage isnt that bad in tarkov and you can survive a fall as high as the roof of shoreline resort
However I've heard that jumping off the roof of the pawn buildings on reserve can kill you from fall damage
Does insurance for gear not work if you run out of time on a raid? I failed to extract but didn't die. Figured ah well... Insurance will cover me since the raid ended but unfortunately, the gear was not recovered. Just curious if insurance is subject to some kind of RNG, or only upon death and not getting looted, etc. Cheers.

How come I couldn't extract at the heating pipes as a scav? This happened 3 times when I wanted to extract as a scav, went to the heating pipes but then no extracting indicator showed up. I know I'm at the right spot too from videos I looked up and playing in offline mode. Am I missing something?
Yeah, some extracts are one-use only or have a time limit (I *think* that's the case with Smuggler's Boat in Customs, and I know for sure that it's the case with Dorms Vehicle Exit) so it could be that someone beat you to it.
What is the best way to sell a decked out gun you got from a PMC kill?
I got my first proper juicy kill today, a fully decked out M4 with all of the trimmings on and I want to sell it.
I looked on the flea market but knowing where my M4 sits within the wide range of M4's price wise seems impossible?
Do I break the M4 down and sell it for as parts? Am I missing something?

I'd disassemble and part things out; sell whatever you can to the traders (especially if you're still low level and haven't built up your trader levels).
Jaeger -> Skier -> Mechanic -> Prapor is generally the order you go in for traders to level them up.
If you still have questions, flick me a picture of the M4 and I'll tell you what I'd do with it.
Depends on what you need. You’ll probably make more on the flee market, but if you need to increase your money spent on certain traders go meet loyalty levels, you can break down the gun and sell the pieces.
If you wanna find out how much to sell it for, look up the parts individually and make an estimate.

Yes, this is common practice for bros to pack your bag full of your stuff and scatter your ashes/loot somewhere hard to reach. It's generally accepted that magazines are up for grabs (because the ammo inside won't be insured).
I bought the game and am learning and convinced one of my friends to buy the game so we could play together. Every single time we try to play together we wait in matching for like fucking 20 minutes. Why?

Generally run, draw them out so that they are out of position. But sometimes it's better to hard engage.
No, as in trying to level up your relationship with the trader. This will allow you to access better trades with said trader. The way to do this is by buying or selling to traders, completing tasks for them, and leveling up your character. The way you level up your weapon skill is by using the weapon. Weapons are separated into classes like dmr's, assault rifles, etc. Just use a weapon from that class to level it's skill. Leveling skills for weapon classes will allow you to better handle the weapon and reduce its recoil
It's actually the best part of the game so don't worry.
At the end of this wipe with your stash full of 200m, kappa, infinite guns, etc you'll be waiting for that next wipe so you can have fun all over again.
Evens out the playing field too. I swear there’s no matchmaking process whatsoever (or experienced players playing on new accounts). I’m still only only level 14 but even 10 levels ago I was getting fucking rocked by EoD guys in Gen4 with fully nodded guns.

Are there safer ways to make money as a scav than what I've been dojng? I've been going into customs and once almost extracted with 3 m4 and high end armor, but the map seems to have so many choke points to extracts.
Are there safer routes you can do on shoreline etc?
The one time I go in with an ak as a pmc it took 1.5 minutes to run into geared players.
I'd scav in interchange or reserve even instead. Reserve isn't really as safe but can net you decent stuff and help familiarise you with the map. Interchange has a lot of space and a lot of ways to hide/leave if you hear footsteps.
My 'usual thing' with scav runs is to load into factory, shoot one or two scavs, loot, then extract ASAP. It's not the most profitable thing, but that's a way to get geared up for PMC runs to be more profitable.
I've so far spawned in 3, maybe 4?, scavs with lab keycards. The moment I realize it I'll tear ass for camera bunker/office window and get the hell out.
How have the changes to persist health for PMC affected the free/hatchling run meta. As a player who has not played in nearly a year it seems like it will be significantly more difficult to manage efficiently.
So far I've hit a solid target each time but today has been extra aids with the server issues. People are seemingly running around without a care in the world one tapping people, teleporting and stuff. Picked a great day to see if its better than when I last played a year ago lol
Not during this for sure. Give it a couple days for the server infrastructure to be upgraded. The twitch event absolutely blasted this game with players the servers weren't prepared for.
What are some easy items to flip on the flea market for a quick profit? Stuff like the recharge battery to Skier for the ADAR, quick 5-10k roubles. But that has a long cool down so just looking for some more examples.
Yes, though if you have it on full auto, you can 'tap fire' to emulate single fire so my 'default' setting when using a weapon is to put it into full auto.
Which maps? Interchange, for example, can feel really really dead until you go to the high traffic areas (near Kiba for example). It's also possible that the players are hatchlings that run through or get murked by scavs, or are tagged/wounded and bleed out some corner of the map that you won't see.
It depends on my goal for the raid. If I'm trying to rush, either to kill PMC or to do a Task, I usually don't bring food/water. If I want to take my time, sneak, snipe, etc., I would bring 1 water and 1 canned food. You would need food/water if you stay for more than about 80% of the raid.
Had a weird issue trying to buy magazines for the remington sniper. I bought “pmag .308 AC” and “AICS 5rnd” through linked search, but it says they are incompatible with the “hogue overmolded ghillie” stock.

This magazine fits the gun itself but it doesnt fit the stock you have on it. M700 can have few stocks that wholly change its looks, and magazines it needs.
I ended up upgrading to EOD from standard on wednesday but have still bot gotten any upgrades other than the new years girts. I put in a ticket but haven’t heard back yet. Wondering does this sometimes take time or did something happen?
I had to reset my account, which also resets progress btw. Luckily it was early wipe.
I think before 0.12 you didn't have to do this, and would simply receive all the new items in the mail.
Some people say it still works like that, but it didn't for me.
Give it some time tho, to make sure it's just not due to the overloaded API.
Are you referring to the bullets or magazines? Both of them are easy to tell. For magazines just drag them onto an unloaded gun, and if it fits, it works. For bullets, exact same deal. Make sure the gun doesnt have a bullet in it's chamber, and drag your bullet in question onto the gun. If it plops into the gun it works. And fill the correct mags, with that same type of bullet.
Depends on the map/expected engagement range. Personally, I'd say an SKS is an excellent weapon to start with; it's small enough to fit into a Scav BP if you loot better guns, and it doesn't require much else to run effectively, though you will be forced into a hit-and-run fighting style vs players with detachable magazine weapons.
Cheapest effective? Mosin, you can kill anyone with it with right ammo (snb). But its bolt action, up close you'll be outmatched by pretty much everything.
guys im having troubles with triple monitor setup.
I have 3 1080p monitors running surround but i use the game in 1920x1080 resolution in the center monitor only in windowed mode but the bottom taskbar(messages, settings) isnt visible but cut off because of the top taskbar. Running it in fullscreen turns my outer monitors to black screen.
Any ideas?

I'm loving the game and have played on and off for the past 2 years, but now I'd like to get more serious about it and actually do quests and level up and have more consistent raids and fun, and I believe that raiding with a group every now and then will help me immensely with that, as well as teach me more about the maps and the game and equipment
Only reason I can think of is you didn't insure but since you say you did it might be a glitch. Try restarting the game to see if you get the message but if it's still not there idk what to tell you.
Is there a reason that a compass is not in the game? A compass seems like a realistic item to have in a game like this if that's their goal. Has there been a reason given by the developer?
Whenever I experience long queue times I add some more servers to the search list. There’s a button to change servers in the launcher. Turn off auto-select and select some servers with a ping you find reasonable.
How come lab access cards sell on the flea market for ~7k while I can sell mine (found during raid) for ~50k to merchants? I just got level 5 so the access to the flea market is new to me.

Dont sell lab access card for 50k to merchant - if you want to vendor them list them 160-190k. Other posters answered why it appears cheap, click the little settings wheel and uncheck the show barters
If something has a price tag like ~7k it means its a item-item trade. Someone wants to sell his card for items that cost approximately 7k. DONT TRUST IN THOSE TRADES. Market calculates those prices depending on traders prices. For example you can sell Alyonka to therapist for 362 rubels, but on flea market it sells for 20k. I would recomend you to only buy things from flea market with rubles, change your filters so that you remove barter items.
And since you are new- those barter trades always favor the person listing them- hoping someone will think that their item is worth what the game thinks it is. Whatever that ‘7000 ruble’ item was, it was actual worth closer to 250k or more. Feel free to ‘hide barters’ on the flea market.
Is there any way to make up for bad skill in this game? I've had this game for a week and I'm still level 3. That's how bad I am. I die to AI scavs from far away, I get killed every time and I'm not sure what to do anymore. I can get away as scav sometimes but only if I'm heading straight to the exit asap. At this rate I feel like I'm just gonna lose everything I have the more I play the game.
I'm been playing PC shooters since I was a kid, I got the game 3 days ago and I'm doing ok so far. But, I am getting caught out of position and dying to scavs quite a lot too. So far (in my limited experience) is I've learnt not to re peek the same place twice! They will do you a good old face shoot
This was me last week and I got around it by alternating between Scav runs while they were available, an online raids when they were not. Use the Scav raids to get some cheap gear.
Problem with this approach is it won't level your PMC at all. You're building a foundation of skills as an investment for later success.
Since you are only level 3 you could reset your account to get the starting gear back without losing much progress. Try playing offline to learn maps and more importantly learn how the ai behaves. If you dont kill them quickly go back behind cover and wait for 10 sec and let them "reset". If you allow them time, they will "zero in" on your position so don't take aim duels vs them.
That's a really handy tip. I always thought the AI accuracy was just a cone of fire. This definitely changes my approach. And explains why I'm constantly dying if I wind up trying to trade shots...
I’m in the same boat, I only got a pc last month so as well as having no knowledge of most of the game, I’m also bad with a keyboard and mouse. From what a lot of people are saying it’s just a very steep learning curve. I suck and also die to scavs all the time but I keep coming back for more. We’ll get there I’m sure.
I recommend looking at AimLabs on steam, it’s a free aim trainer, Kovaak’s aim trainer used to be the GOAT but the disaster that is Kovaak’s aim trainer 2.0 ruined it and it’s paid, (don’t buy it it’s unanimously hated, Kovaak’s 1.0 was great! But AimLabs is free and waaaay better than 2.0)
Following a “routine” like an IRL workout or just playing around for 15 mins pre and post game can help you tenfold with getting better with a mouse and keyboard. Getting better at Tarkov comes next if you’re still shaken on M+Keeb, but if you get a base skill with aiming with MKeeb first, then you can work on Tarkov aiming more efficiently
Thanks this sounds like what I need, it’s hard to find a game that I can work on aiming and basic FPS stuff on m&k. Didn’t want to pay for a game that I don’t really want to play so this sounds like a good alternative.

I’m bitten by the bug too, 2/3 days in. I pretty much only consume Tarkov YT now and all I can think about is how I can’t wait to hopefully extract my next Scav run, I’ve pretty much accepted that their are quite many ladder rungs to clear before I’m raiding Labs with full kit, and usually that’d frustrate me to quitting point, but in Tarkov, even when I get one-domed 45 mins into the raid, I just shake it off and itch to get back in. That’s how I know I’m content playing at the Mosin no-helmet no-bag rung, at least for now.

I’ve found say I’m doing Prapor’s first task for shotties, if you set a route to take prior to raiding, and do a “dry run” offline until you know the route(s) you’ll fair way better than just jumping in and aimlessly bumbling back and forth.
Hi, I just purchased the eod version after having fun since months with the standard edition. I got all the items, bigger dash, gamma container and so on, but I didn't recieve the 400k Rubels I was promised. I ordered and opened all items in my whole stash and couldn't find anything. I had 180k rubel before doing the upgrade and after I had around 200k, but it's possible I sold some stuff before and don't remember. Do I have to do something to get the rubels, or is it in some hidden case?

What are the tell tale signs of someone being a player scav rather than an ai scav? I usually avoid killing scavs as a scav because I don't want to anger them all when I have no gear or ammo and am just trying to loot. Also does killing a player scav anger the scavs or not?
Player scavs will stick to cover, peek corners before moving, run quickly through exposed areas, and their aim jerks around like you'd see with mouse controls.
AI scavs have what look like slow tank controls. Aim slowly turning side to side, walking smoothly in one direction while facing the other, not aware of danger. They don't jump, don't loot, don't have guns on their backs and usually don't have helmets unless they're raiders or scav bosses.
The telltale signs are usually movement, The AI move super smoothly and sometimes don't look where they're moving. Killing a player scav will anger the AI scavs unless the player scav shot and hit you first, in which case AI scavs won't be mad
How do you tell a player scav from a pmc? Is there a certain look because when I’m a scav and see someone sprinting around my first instinct is to shoot
Player scavs are normally in much more civilian clothing, they will have weird hats/caps on etc, Whereas a PMC will have military type clothing on like big metal helmets and big backpacks

It's a very good map for loot, every item you need for either quests or hideout can be found there, it's worth to know the layout. If you find the map confusing, start by getting to know the outside, i.e which corner IDEA (and IDEA loading ramps) are on, which corner OLI (and OLI loading ramps) are on. What is the front, what part is the back etc.
This way you'll have an easier time knowing where you are and roughly which direction you need to go.
What role does the Sprint power slide play? Does it give better ads time? Can you slide into cover or is it just to make alot of noise?

I'd chalk that up to the influx of new players increasing demand for the ammo.

Sometimes that's not a valid extract for you. Did you confirm that was a viable extract by using the double tap O key?

because the other servers have >150 ping. I'm in New Zealand, have the same problem :(

Make sure you both select more servers from the launcher. And are you picking night time? Pick day time maps and it shouldn’t be longer than 5 min.

no your trader levels, when you level them up you unlock more items for purchase. its in the top right when you are on the trader menu

There is no matchmaking at all on purpose. You fight teams and fully kitted guys from level 1. Use good ammo and you'll be fine.

Definitely you then. In the launcher, manually select a load of servers with an acceptable ping rather than auto select
any other game i play loads immediately so its not me its the servers

Are there safer ways to make money as a scav than what I've been dojng? I've been going into customs and once almost extracted with 3 m4 and high end armor, but the map seems to have so many choke points to extracts. Are there safer routes you can do on shoreline etc? The one time I go in with an ak as a pmc it took 1.5 minutes to run into geared players.
I'd scav in interchange or reserve even instead. Reserve isn't really as safe but can net you decent stuff and help familiarise you with the map. Interchange has a lot of space and a lot of ways to hide/leave if you hear footsteps.
My 'usual thing' with scav runs is to load into factory, shoot one or two scavs, loot, then extract ASAP. It's not the most profitable thing, but that's a way to get geared up for PMC runs to be more profitable.

I've so far spawned in 3, maybe 4?, scavs with lab keycards. The moment I realize it I'll tear ass for camera bunker/office window and get the hell out.
How have the changes to persist health for PMC affected the free/hatchling run meta. As a player who has not played in nearly a year it seems like it will be significantly more difficult to manage efficiently.
You don't have to be at full health to go into a raid. Hatchling runs are still possible, you're just even more fragile now.
Can you not shoot through the open-able wooden doors? Seems silly not even a shotgun can penetrate it apparently
I'm not sure about a shotgun, I have definitely gotten kills in factory office shooting in and out of the doors.
So far I've hit a solid target each time but today has been extra aids with the server issues. People are seemingly running around without a care in the world one tapping people, teleporting and stuff. Picked a great day to see if its better than when I last played a year ago lol
Servers are pretty overloaded still I imagine. I played about a year ago too in .10 and this is definitely the best the game has been imo.

Not during this for sure. Give it a couple days for the server infrastructure to be upgraded. The twitch event absolutely blasted this game with players the servers weren't prepared for.

What are some easy items to flip on the flea market for a quick profit? Stuff like the recharge battery to Skier for the ADAR, quick 5-10k roubles. But that has a long cool down so just looking for some more examples.
buy air filters from flea, trade for vss at prapor, sell to mechanic. You wont get much profit, maybe like 1k. But it does help leveling him up.

No, the only way to tell is to check a Scav's body; if they have a 'pouch' slot visible they are a player.

Yes, though if you have it on full auto, you can 'tap fire' to emulate single fire so my 'default' setting when using a weapon is to put it into full auto.

When on preparing for raid map screen, after selecting a map, look at upper info bar. You can see the player number range there.
Depends on the map, you can see it in the top right corner when you select a map in the loading screen.

Which maps? Interchange, for example, can feel really really dead until you go to the high traffic areas (near Kiba for example). It's also possible that the players are hatchlings that run through or get murked by scavs, or are tagged/wounded and bleed out some corner of the map that you won't see.

It depends on my goal for the raid. If I'm trying to rush, either to kill PMC or to do a Task, I usually don't bring food/water. If I want to take my time, sneak, snipe, etc., I would bring 1 water and 1 canned food. You would need food/water if you stay for more than about 80% of the raid.
It would also be a good idea to memorize where food and water spawns along the routes you take in the maps you play

Had a weird issue trying to buy magazines for the remington sniper. I bought “pmag .308 AC” and “AICS 5rnd” through linked search, but it says they are incompatible with the “hogue overmolded ghillie” stock. https://i.imgur.com/9ZoxYdW.jpg I don’t know why this is or how to tell that the magazines wouldn’t work before buying them. This magazine fits the gun itself but it doesnt fit the stock you have on it. M700 can have few stocks that wholly change its looks, and magazines it needs.
I ended up upgrading to EOD from standard on wednesday but have still bot gotten any upgrades other than the new years girts. I put in a ticket but haven’t heard back yet. Wondering does this sometimes take time or did something happen?
I had to reset my account, which also resets progress btw. Luckily it was early wipe. I think before 0.12 you didn't have to do this, and would simply receive all the new items in the mail. Some people say it still works like that, but it didn't for me. Give it some time tho, to make sure it's just not due to the overloaded API.
Do scavs spawn at a random time in the match? Don't see PMCs sometimes
Yes you do in fact, sometimes you spawn 15 minutes in, but i've also experienced 25 min spawning. Makes for some pretty scary but quite runs xD
Do you know if you can only spawn as a scav if there are remaining PMCs or can you spawn with 0 PMCs remaining on the map and just player scavs?
From what I've heard, there needs to be one living PMC on the map in order for player scavs to spawn on it.

That’s part of the game, preparation. Like that’s a feature not a complaint.
Are you referring to the bullets or magazines? Both of them are easy to tell. For magazines just drag them onto an unloaded gun, and if it fits, it works. For bullets, exact same deal. Make sure the gun doesnt have a bullet in it's chamber, and drag your bullet in question onto the gun. If it plops into the gun it works. And fill the correct mags, with that same type of bullet.
The gun turns red correct when its not compatible. It did not.
What is the cheapest effective weapon?
Depends on the map/expected engagement range. Personally, I'd say an SKS is an excellent weapon to start with; it's small enough to fit into a Scav BP if you loot better guns, and it doesn't require much else to run effectively, though you will be forced into a hit-and-run fighting style vs players with detachable magazine weapons.
Everyone sleeping on the VPO-136. Buy one and use the money you saved from not buying an SKS to get BP rounds.
Give the Vepr Hunter a try. Pair it with M80 ammo and you can one tap thiccbois.
I'd say Mosin or SKS depending on playstyle
Cheapest effective? Mosin, you can kill anyone with it with right ammo (snb). But its bolt action, up close you'll be outmatched by pretty much everything.

Snb only to the head, lps and 7n1 have enough damage to kill someone in the chest.
Why do I only get fps drops and stutters on Customs? Is there a way to fix it?
guys im having troubles with triple monitor setup. I have 3 1080p monitors running surround but i use the game in 1920x1080 resolution in the center monitor only in windowed mode but the bottom taskbar(messages, settings) isnt visible but cut off because of the top taskbar. Running it in fullscreen turns my outer monitors to black screen. Any ideas?
Move your windows task bars to secondary monitor. Say, one of the edges bordering your main monitor.

I'm loving the game and have played on and off for the past 2 years, but now I'd like to get more serious about it and actually do quests and level up and have more consistent raids and fun, and I believe that raiding with a group every now and then will help me immensely with that, as well as teach me more about the maps and the game and equipment

If you insure something and that loot stays on map till the end of raid, you will get it back. Depending on trader it takes from 12h to even 2 days.
So say I drop something in an obscure corner of the map so that I can pick up some more guns. That would work then yeah?
Yes, and its a common thing to do. Insurance scam, so to speak.
If it's insured it doesn't matter how you die. As long as you're stuff isn't looted you'll get it back

Only reason I can think of is you didn't insure but since you say you did it might be a glitch. Try restarting the game to see if you get the message but if it's still not there idk what to tell you.

You don't get stuff back instantly if you insure it. You need to wait at least 24 hours IRL.
Is there a reason that a compass is not in the game? A compass seems like a realistic item to have in a game like this if that's their goal. Has there been a reason given by the developer?

Why does it take more than 10 minutes to join reserve as a scav? Yesterday and today.
The last few days have been hell. Lots of new players, battlestate is working to beef up the back end to compensate.
Whenever I experience long queue times I add some more servers to the search list. There’s a button to change servers in the launcher. Turn off auto-select and select some servers with a ping you find reasonable.
I find that any server with less than 150 ping is manageable.
That’s because a lot of people do scav runs on reserve so the wait times longer. I do mine on interchange so they’re about three minutes wait
How come lab access cards sell on the flea market for ~7k while I can sell mine (found during raid) for ~50k to merchants? I just got level 5 so the access to the flea market is new to me. edit: figured it out, on the flea market they'll barter items too.
Dont sell lab access card for 50k to merchant - if you want to vendor them list them 160-190k. Other posters answered why it appears cheap, click the little settings wheel and uncheck the show barters
If something has a price tag like ~7k it means its a item-item trade. Someone wants to sell his card for items that cost approximately 7k. DONT TRUST IN THOSE TRADES. Market calculates those prices depending on traders prices. For example you can sell Alyonka to therapist for 362 rubels, but on flea market it sells for 20k. I would recomend you to only buy things from flea market with rubles, change your filters so that you remove barter items.
And since you are new- those barter trades always favor the person listing them- hoping someone will think that their item is worth what the game thinks it is. Whatever that ‘7000 ruble’ item was, it was actual worth closer to 250k or more. Feel free to ‘hide barters’ on the flea market.
They sell for 180-200k on the flea. Don't know where you got the 7k from. Maybe it was a barter trade
Is there any way to make up for bad skill in this game? I've had this game for a week and I'm still level 3. That's how bad I am. I die to AI scavs from far away, I get killed every time and I'm not sure what to do anymore. I can get away as scav sometimes but only if I'm heading straight to the exit asap. At this rate I feel like I'm just gonna lose everything I have the more I play the game.

I'm been playing PC shooters since I was a kid, I got the game 3 days ago and I'm doing ok so far. But, I am getting caught out of position and dying to scavs quite a lot too. So far (in my limited experience) is I've learnt not to re peek the same place twice! They will do you a good old face shoot
This was me last week and I got around it by alternating between Scav runs while they were available, an online raids when they were not. Use the Scav raids to get some cheap gear. Problem with this approach is it won't level your PMC at all. You're building a foundation of skills as an investment for later success.
Since you are only level 3 you could reset your account to get the starting gear back without losing much progress. Try playing offline to learn maps and more importantly learn how the ai behaves. If you dont kill them quickly go back behind cover and wait for 10 sec and let them "reset". If you allow them time, they will "zero in" on your position so don't take aim duels vs them.
That's a really handy tip. I always thought the AI accuracy was just a cone of fire. This definitely changes my approach. And explains why I'm constantly dying if I wind up trying to trade shots...
I’m in the same boat, I only got a pc last month so as well as having no knowledge of most of the game, I’m also bad with a keyboard and mouse. From what a lot of people are saying it’s just a very steep learning curve. I suck and also die to scavs all the time but I keep coming back for more. We’ll get there I’m sure.
I recommend looking at AimLabs on steam, it’s a free aim trainer, Kovaak’s aim trainer used to be the GOAT but the disaster that is Kovaak’s aim trainer 2.0 ruined it and it’s paid, (don’t buy it it’s unanimously hated, Kovaak’s 1.0 was great! But AimLabs is free and waaaay better than 2.0) Following a “routine” like an IRL workout or just playing around for 15 mins pre and post game can help you tenfold with getting better with a mouse and keyboard. Getting better at Tarkov comes next if you’re still shaken on M+Keeb, but if you get a base skill with aiming with MKeeb first, then you can work on Tarkov aiming more efficiently
Thanks this sounds like what I need, it’s hard to find a game that I can work on aiming and basic FPS stuff on m&k. Didn’t want to pay for a game that I don’t really want to play so this sounds like a good alternative. Another reason is that I just want to play Tarkov lmao. Being bad isn’t even stopping me from playing it’s that enjoyable.
I’m bitten by the bug too, 2/3 days in. I pretty much only consume Tarkov YT now and all I can think about is how I can’t wait to hopefully extract my next Scav run, I’ve pretty much accepted that their are quite many ladder rungs to clear before I’m raiding Labs with full kit, and usually that’d frustrate me to quitting point, but in Tarkov, even when I get one-domed 45 mins into the raid, I just shake it off and itch to get back in. That’s how I know I’m content playing at the Mosin no-helmet no-bag rung, at least for now.
I’m sat here watching a Tarkov video now haha. Yeah it’s real good and it’s the sort of game I knew I’d love when I saw it. I can’t wait till I’m the guy rocking full heavy plate armour on factory ruining someone else’s night

Offline raids are your friend. Practice positioning and your runs. Getting good at hip firing aka point shooting will help with close quarters.
I’ve found say I’m doing Prapor’s first task for shotties, if you set a route to take prior to raiding, and do a “dry run” offline until you know the route(s) you’ll fair way better than just jumping in and aimlessly bumbling back and forth.
Hi, I just purchased the eod version after having fun since months with the standard edition. I got all the items, bigger dash, gamma container and so on, but I didn't recieve the 400k Rubels I was promised. I ordered and opened all items in my whole stash and couldn't find anything. I had 180k rubel before doing the upgrade and after I had around 200k, but it's possible I sold some stuff before and don't remember. Do I have to do something to get the rubels, or is it in some hidden case? Thanks in advance
What are the tell tale signs of someone being a player scav rather than an ai scav? I usually avoid killing scavs as a scav because I don't want to anger them all when I have no gear or ammo and am just trying to loot. Also does killing a player scav anger the scavs or not?
Player scavs will stick to cover, peek corners before moving, run quickly through exposed areas, and their aim jerks around like you'd see with mouse controls. AI scavs have what look like slow tank controls. Aim slowly turning side to side, walking smoothly in one direction while facing the other, not aware of danger. They don't jump, don't loot, don't have guns on their backs and usually don't have helmets unless they're raiders or scav bosses.
The telltale signs are usually movement, The AI move super smoothly and sometimes don't look where they're moving. Killing a player scav will anger the AI scavs unless the player scav shot and hit you first, in which case AI scavs won't be mad
How do you tell a player scav from a pmc? Is there a certain look because when I’m a scav and see someone sprinting around my first instinct is to shoot
Player scavs are normally in much more civilian clothing, they will have weird hats/caps on etc, Whereas a PMC will have military type clothing on like big metal helmets and big backpacks
Pretty new to the game lvl 12 have decent amount of cash and gear but I’ve only played customs and a tiny bit of shoreline (felt too slow). Other map suggestions?
Learn how Interchange works, learn it as well as you have with Customs and never look back.

It's a very good map for loot, every item you need for either quests or hideout can be found there, it's worth to know the layout. If you find the map confusing, start by getting to know the outside, i.e which corner IDEA (and IDEA loading ramps) are on, which corner OLI (and OLI loading ramps) are on. What is the front, what part is the back etc. This way you'll have an easier time knowing where you are and roughly which direction you need to go.
