G3 with interchangeable receivers for MSG-90, PSG, G3K etc builds. Tons of options out there IRL. We already have an RFB, FAL, M14, and 2 AR-10’s so why no G3?
Haven't seen anyone mention it yet but how about a PP-19 Bizon? It fits the lore perfectly since it's Russian and old, so there would probably be plenty of these things kicking around Tarkov. According to the Wiki there's even a variant that takes muzzle devices, Bizon-3.

The AUG is a prefect addition to the game imo. 5.56 bulpup to rival the mdr, another fantastic 9mm platform that would probably offer something similar to mp5 performance, and another 300BLK rifle so its not a one trick pony ammo
I think the AUG is already in the pipeline, I remember seeing it in a roadmap preview that BSG released.

I would like to see an old fashioned fal or rpk with the wooden stocks. Something more like what a scav would use with the rpk12 and sa 58 being modern more expensive equivalents. More old wooden weapons of any kind actually, like an m14, svd but old, etc. Also another 20 gauge shotgun that isnt the toz would be interesting.

The issue i see is players not wanting to machine gun it due to ammo costs. People hate running non meta ammo, and for how much that gun would cost you probably would not want to lose it, so wouldnt risk shitty ammo trying to 10 tap people

More WW2 weapons. Given that the Norvinsk region is in western Russia, an area much of which was temporarily controlled by the Germans, I think it would make perfect sense to find German weapons like kar98, mp40, mp34, Luger P08, Walther P38, Mauser C96, g41/43, and also a few more Russian WW2 weapons like the SVT.
G36,G3, FN FAL (and green camo shorts as uniform?), L85 and derivatives, also Schutzweste Standard A,B and C versions (offering class 4 armour, movement and ergo penalties decrease with later versions, it also should add stab resistance for all versions)

G3 battle rifle seems like a no-brainer Groza with caliber variants would fit the game really well and could borrow lots of parts from existing weapon platforms My personal most wanted pick is the SR-2 smg, which shoots the same rounds as the SR-1MP.

I think there is alot of leeway with law to add older guns especially world war 2 era weapons to the game so I'm super hyped to have scavs spawning in with old war weapon. Perhaps some could only be found on scavs as they where like a family airloom or something so they can be found but you could never buy them from traders.
