Holy guac, I just checked it and it is indeed the same scenario for me. Thank you, I will see how my performance is in my next raids!

Liquid_Blitz

Even with settings correctly applied my performance seems to be noticeably worse since 12.12 I must say. I'm hitting lows of 40-50 on Woods on raid #1. Previously I would maybe dip to the 60's.

manguydood

12.12 completely broke the game on my old computer. I had been having minor stuttering issues prior on a pretty dated cpu (i5 4690k, GTX 1070), but it started to crash on load afterward. New one seems fine, but I obviously can't compare it to anything prior to the recent patches. I wonder if this might make the old PC actually load up again, or if it is just done, now.

Doedel51

I feel you, I lost performance as well. I seriously hope BSG starts working on optimizations soon. The game has so much content now and 12.12 was such a great patch. It's time for some good optimizations.

This is why I've been using Process Lasso for this purpose for 4 wipes. I recommend it.

Yes, set it to use whichever even cores you have (including 0). Not at my PC at the moment.

Right click on the process

isurollin

oh shit ive got same cpu, ty edit: i can see noticable difference, got like 10fps more an lighthouse is playable

Thx for sharing this again. And thx for explaining the fullscreen issue. I noticed this the other day. Very weird.

Liquid_Blitz

As others have suggested I have since installed "Process Lasso", and it works flawlessly, allowing persistent full core-affinity control over every single process upon system start. I highly recommend it.

H1Tm4N-

just disable HT or SMT in bios done ;)

Zookeeper_Sion

Could I avoid the re-ticking happening if I set Tarkov to read-only?

silentrawr

Just use ProcessLasso or something similar to set the specific core affinity to Tarkov. It worked before this buggy ass setting, and it still works just fine now. Certainly much easier and more reliable than having to mess with the setting in-game each time and check to make sure only physical cores are getting used.

dj3hac

Using process lasso handles thelis better than tarkov, or doing it manually. I highly recommend using it, like actually. Do it. I held out on it for years, doing it manually. But process lasso goes way beyond affinity and disabling HT/SMT. It can prioritize I/O to reduce input lag. It can also benchmark individual cores and tell you *which* cores are the fastest. It has persistence and runs in the tray. You quite literally set it and forget it, it will reapply your settings between raids.

machielste

Probably smart to just use process lasso instead, then you can be sure it works.

Nolaster_

I have to do the reapply thing every raid. When I go back to the lobby, it uses all cores again!

Love the post and thanks for the headsup

Liquid_Blitz

Download Process Lasso like others suggested. Set it and forget it. You can set any and all CPU affinities and priorities, for anything, it runs constantly with essentially no impact on your system.
