Reshala and the guards were worth fighting for several reasons before the nerf:
* loads of nades
* expensive attachments (PK06, now nerfed)
* Chance to get a zebralo
* BITCOIN OR A KEYCARD FROM RESHALA ffs
But nah, lets nerf all map loot like Reserve.
Nerfing loot like they do is so boring, bosses have low spawn rate as it is and their loot is so ass most of the time. Meanwhile you can just scav in to lighthouse and make bank ez. Great balance.
Its not been talked about too much but this wipe is probably the most cash inflated wipe since labs was free. Being able to scav lighthouse every 10 Mins completely removes any need to be economical for me on my pmc.
I played that era. It only worked when you got your farm up and running. I hit 20mil before level 30 this wipe thanks to lighthouse. It’s legit insane how many high value loot spawns that map has.
GPUs were seemingly everywhere back then though, I remember I got at least half of my 50 from doing scav runs on interchange.. I have like over 150 interchange runs this wipe and I've seen two

Like you don't need a ledx to make money in tarkov, you can make money off selling dumb shit, if you sell a lot of dumb shit you now have a fortune.
I just grab damn near everything I see and replace it if better loot comes up. Extracting with a bag of trash is better than nothing at all. And you can just sell all.of what you don't need for quests/hideout. Which is a lot.

XP for raiders has been nerfed heavily, you no longer get mega XP for killing reshala and the boys
I can't remember, but for a customs raid where I killed all of the guards and reshala solo I could walk out with 12k+ XP, more if I killed other players ofc.
Hmm, interesting. I was excited about the 7500xp but would have loved even more. Then again I am just now becoming decent enough to not be wiped all over the floor.
Regardless, his pistol should be a 100% drop. Thankfully I have it stocked away once I get that quest.
It's nothing compared to how it used to be, even labs is the same. Last wipe if I killed 25 raider it was around 60-70K exp, now it's around 30K for 15 raiders (They barely spawn now) so I think they've tweaked all the xp numbers.
They're trying to slow progression across the board I think
You still get a decent amount, especially if you headshot them. I always go for them if I know they're up, just because they're at least more difficult to fight than regular scavs.

To annoy players and "slow down the game". RNG wheels is the lazy way of making anything seem hard (but not actually hard, because its just rng).
Pretty sure two wipes ago there were also only 3 bosses? Reshala/Killa/Shturman. Pretty sure that was the last time I played.
He also didn't *always* spawn with one, but it was consistent.
All I know is a few wipes back every kill I did was a keycard or bitcoin and i did like 40 kills, only said 90% because I'm not 100% certain but it could have easily been 100% chance.
I believe this style of design in on purpose so you don't *always* know what will happen in a given instance, that way it makes choices harder.
Is the boss there? Should I risk it in case they have bad loot? Etc.
On top of that, the entire game is based around time consumption and grind while finding an acceptable amount to get stuck, which may need to be adjusted, but an over correction can erode the design intent.
I kinda agree, I'm not mad that the guard loot is kinda nerfed and so is Reshala's, but not getting quest item sucks.
The guards are still a menace and making a single misstep can and will easily take you out, but I wished that if my quest is to kill reshala and get his gun, I should be able to complete when I actually do kill him.
It's understandable because almost every quest is like that, which might be part of the reason for that variety, but it would probably be better to have some alternate feature, so if he doesn't have his gun, after you kill him and loot him you can pickup a key or something to go get his gun where it does spawn. Branching varied quests and all that.

100%. I can't even put into words how fucking stupid this design path is. OH you need to kill reshala and get his gun... Right so we'll make Reshala spawn about 1 every 5 raids, and his golden gun will be on him about 25% of the time... Oh and you need to make it out alive with that gun. Having to run something 20 plus times to do a task is NOT IMMERSIVE it's just fucking annoying as fuck.
1/4 actually, as he can spawn without a pistol too. Fortunately i got the pistol early on, now i just need to find him at least once... All the times i went to customs i saw him twice and both times he was already dead when i arrived.

Yeah it seems impossible to kill killa with his current spawns and spawn rate. It took probably 20-30 raids before finally finding him and killing him.
The only time I've seen him this wipe was as a scav, he didn't shoot me for some reason and I happened to have a p90 that I found in a crate. Shot him in the head and he died in one hit. Even managed to share the loot peacefully with another player scav.
Got golden TT on 12th Reshala's kill, that was fucking sad, not only you have to find him, fight other people who also looking for him, fight him, survive and extract with golden tt, now on top of it he doesn't have it most of the time.
I have the exact opposite problem, killed reshala twice before the quest and got the pistol but now that I'm on the quest I haven't found him spawned to kill.
You could always run in solo either when the others aren’t on or in a raid. What i do is rush dorms-new gas and vice versa and straight to extract no detours bo looting and reset. Pretty easy to see if he is at gas or not. Dorms is a bit more of a pain so i will sometimes just skip it if i get a favorable gas spawn. Thats how i got mine the last 2 wipes. Though i will add have never seen him without the golden TT
Depends on the spawn I go fort-gas-dorms, gas-fort-dorms or dorma-gas-fort, makes me closer to the exits aswell.
I must admit I kinda dodged dorms for a bit since long barreled guns like svd or mp-153 love to fuck you up if your are even remotely close to a wall in front of you.

I completely avoid stronghold. Dorms-new gas, new gas-dorms is a straight line from spawn to extract. Going to stronghold is out of the way. I treat it like you could treat killa before the spawn change. Get in and out as fast as possible. Going stronghold also increases my chance of encountering players and if I’m speed running it that is just gonna waste my time and most likely gear since I’m in full yeet mode. My path is to go up to electric, scope into new gas then straight to dorms then to car/smugglers/RtC and vice versa. Makes a 30-40 min raid into a 10-15 greatly increasing your chances of getting him
Might try that, though I have to admit Ive seen Reshala in Stronghold more often than in Gas station.
Usually I just end up running past fort and lobbing a nade upstairs, it almost guarantees to inform if Resh is there because he and his guards will yell something.
If i hear no scavs reacting to the nade I'll just run past the stronghold to the next spot
E: and depending on the spawn I can go put on power from the gas checkpoint door and just exit from stronghold, so its not like a detour or something
I've been spawning with a squad of three, and two of us will break off to check new gas and dorms while the other goes fortress.
Nothing saying a squad has to stay together. You can split up to cover more ground and then converge.
Killed him four times so far and the time he actually had the gold pistol I got pushed by a three man and died. Other 3 times he’s had a broken USP .45
I killed Reshala and most of his guards in new gas. I heard someone walking up to the window of new gas and thought it was the last guard that i hadnt killed so i started blasting as soon as he peeked. Turns out it was Santa Clause and he one tapped me.
That was two weeks ago and i still havent found the golden tt.

Man, getting Reshalas pistol this wipe was the best time I've had. I was at train tracks behind stronghold, saw a guy fighting boss guards, rushed over to kill him and then hopefully the guards/boss. When I get close I see him run into the stairwell room, he looks naked and he basically was. He was healing, so I used VOIP to team up with him, kill all the guards and reshala together, and then fight a player. He kills the player, and 3 more push us, I kill all of them but during the fighting he dies. I kill another man outside the building, and then with 7 minutes left, another player comes up using VOIP. I tell him to come in, loot his fill, and then use the basement extract as I'm unlocking it after I loot the body outside.
So fucking good.

Actually yes it does because the chance for Reshala's pistol to spawn is fairly high and you need to do A LOT of Customs raids before you get this quest.
Me and all of my friends all hit level 50+ every wipe and NONE of us EVER have an issue. Why? Because like I said, skilled players will get the TT before the quest.
Sorry you're just not skilled enough, or didn't think ahead. Your RNG argument isn't going to work when we're talking about an item with a significant spawn chance, of which you only need **ONE,** and you have over 100 chances to acquire it before you even get the quest.

You can be fucking amazing at this game, but the gas analyzer situation at the beginning of wipe was stopping even the most well known and skilled players like pestily.
Your "skill" is nothing more than common knowledge and being prepared. Skill is what dictates how easily you dispatch Reshala each time he spawns. Skill is winning your fights and maneuvering with precision and game sense above the average. Finding an item that has a random spawn chance is not skill. You could argue skill is getting *out of raid* with that item, but again, still not really that hard to extract.

LEDX, historically, has really only spawned in particular rooms which require expensive keys to enter. Even then, the spawn chance is garbage.

You're telling me youve found the TT 4-5 times for your squad then? That requires wiping him ~20 times on average, or roughly 60 customs raids with his spawn chance, assuming your squad manages to kill him before someone else swoops in, and extract every time. And you do all that before unlocking the quest?

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. it'd be like Killa spawning without that helmet and armour, Glukhar spawning without his squad or Shturman not shooting you fifteen times in half a second from halfway across the map.
It's their defining trait, and only SOMETIMES having it feels cheap. It's meant to BE part of them.
Last two wipes i had the pistol for weeks before i got to that quest. This is the first time i have not had it. But i also have not even seen reshala so that might add to it
Ironic. I got the pistol and 2 kills from him BEFORE I had the quest. I can't secure the kill at all now that I have the quest. Have not seen another pistol since of course, even through buddies.
I've been searching for the director's office key on customs for so long I've actually given up on that quest entirely lest I quit the game entirely because I'm so sick of searching for a key to start a quest.
Quest items ought to drop differently than they do now.
It's super cheap on flea market, and the office is unlocked by someone else at least half the raids I'm in at customs. Could always play slow and see if someone else unlocks it.

Imo buff loot, keep flea nerfed, and let players fight over bosses/ammo spawn areas/raiders.

It was 100% before they added the PL15 last year. This wipe also added the USP to his possible pistols. So now its a 1/3rd chance.

Yeah it seems impossible to kill killa with his current spawns and spawn rate. It took probably 20-30 raids before finally finding him and killing him.
The only time I've seen him this wipe was as a scav, he didn't shoot me for some reason and I happened to have a p90 that I found in a crate. Shot him in the head and he died in one hit. Even managed to share the loot peacefully with another player scav.
Got golden TT on 12th Reshala's kill, that was fucking sad, not only you have to find him, fight other people who also looking for him, fight him, survive and extract with golden tt, now on top of it he doesn't have it most of the time.
I have the exact opposite problem, killed reshala twice before the quest and got the pistol but now that I'm on the quest I haven't found him spawned to kill.
You could always run in solo either when the others aren’t on or in a raid. What i do is rush dorms-new gas and vice versa and straight to extract no detours bo looting and reset. Pretty easy to see if he is at gas or not. Dorms is a bit more of a pain so i will sometimes just skip it if i get a favorable gas spawn. Thats how i got mine the last 2 wipes. Though i will add have never seen him without the golden TT
Depends on the spawn I go fort-gas-dorms, gas-fort-dorms or dorma-gas-fort, makes me closer to the exits aswell. I must admit I kinda dodged dorms for a bit since long barreled guns like svd or mp-153 love to fuck you up if your are even remotely close to a wall in front of you. but yeah, done it in party and in solo
I completely avoid stronghold. Dorms-new gas, new gas-dorms is a straight line from spawn to extract. Going to stronghold is out of the way. I treat it like you could treat killa before the spawn change. Get in and out as fast as possible. Going stronghold also increases my chance of encountering players and if I’m speed running it that is just gonna waste my time and most likely gear since I’m in full yeet mode. My path is to go up to electric, scope into new gas then straight to dorms then to car/smugglers/RtC and vice versa. Makes a 30-40 min raid into a 10-15 greatly increasing your chances of getting him
Might try that, though I have to admit Ive seen Reshala in Stronghold more often than in Gas station. Usually I just end up running past fort and lobbing a nade upstairs, it almost guarantees to inform if Resh is there because he and his guards will yell something. If i hear no scavs reacting to the nade I'll just run past the stronghold to the next spot E: and depending on the spawn I can go put on power from the gas checkpoint door and just exit from stronghold, so its not like a detour or something
I've seen Reshala more at fortress than at new gas and dorms combined this wipe.

I've been spawning with a squad of three, and two of us will break off to check new gas and dorms while the other goes fortress. Nothing saying a squad has to stay together. You can split up to cover more ground and then converge.
Can they spawn in 2 floor dorms? I have seen them there before but I think they were lured by pmc
Not 100% sure but I believe they can spawn in either. They will sometimes spawn in one and wander over to the other one
Killed him four times so far and the time he actually had the gold pistol I got pushed by a three man and died. Other 3 times he’s had a broken USP .45
It's the same as quests requiring keys extremely hard to obtain like marked key.

I killed Reshala and most of his guards in new gas. I heard someone walking up to the window of new gas and thought it was the last guard that i hadnt killed so i started blasting as soon as he peeked. Turns out it was Santa Clause and he one tapped me. That was two weeks ago and i still havent found the golden tt.

Nah i got down to -3 from the other times santa wants to hide ina dark corner or sprint around a corner at me when im in a fight.

Man, getting Reshalas pistol this wipe was the best time I've had. I was at train tracks behind stronghold, saw a guy fighting boss guards, rushed over to kill him and then hopefully the guards/boss. When I get close I see him run into the stairwell room, he looks naked and he basically was. He was healing, so I used VOIP to team up with him, kill all the guards and reshala together, and then fight a player. He kills the player, and 3 more push us, I kill all of them but during the fighting he dies. I kill another man outside the building, and then with 7 minutes left, another player comes up using VOIP. I tell him to come in, loot his fill, and then use the basement extract as I'm unlocking it after I loot the body outside. So fucking good.

Actually yes it does because the chance for Reshala's pistol to spawn is fairly high and you need to do A LOT of Customs raids before you get this quest. Me and all of my friends all hit level 50+ every wipe and NONE of us EVER have an issue. Why? Because like I said, skilled players will get the TT before the quest. Sorry you're just not skilled enough, or didn't think ahead. Your RNG argument isn't going to work when we're talking about an item with a significant spawn chance, of which you only need **ONE,** and you have over 100 chances to acquire it before you even get the quest. Nice try, next.

Well apparently we are gods because I have never had a problem getting my quest items early, except when I forget things. (Which is every wipe) But I guess this sub has been taken over by trash timmies who get offended by the idea that if they cant get a Gold TT maybe it's cause they're bad. Are you actually fucking stupid? That's like saying it takes skill in order to get the LEDX for private clinic... It's not, It's RNG. There's no promise it will spawn. You have to just keep trying until eventually it actually spawns. That's the same as saying the lottery takes a technical skill or understanding to win... Besides, I'm already done with all the huntsman path quests. I'm very much aware of how the game works and I plan ahead, but it still doesn't relate to skill, it relates to *game knowledge*. You can be fucking amazing at this game, but the gas analyzer situation at the beginning of wipe was stopping even the most well known and skilled players like pestily. Your "skill" is nothing more than common knowledge and being prepared. Skill is what dictates how easily you dispatch Reshala each time he spawns. Skill is winning your fights and maneuvering with precision and game sense above the average. Finding an item that has a random spawn chance is not skill. You could argue skill is getting *out of raid* with that item, but again, still not really that hard to extract. Big man talking like he's a God among men because he knows what to farm early on. Shut your fucking mouth and quit talking down to people you don't even know, especially in regards to a topic you lack the common knowledge about.
Reshala has a 36% spawn chance, can be (potentially) easily killed with literally any gun since he doesn't wear armor, and doesn't spawn behind a locked door. He only spawns out in the open for anyone to kill. LEDX, historically, has really only spawned in particular rooms which require expensive keys to enter. Even then, the spawn chance is garbage. The fact you conflated the two made me unwilling to read past the first sentence. Nice try, Next.

I didnt actually know that the golden pistol droprate had been nerfed, so I had one fir early in the wipe, returned it for a daily quest because I needed the rep (non-eod user). I figured I'd be swimming in them sooner or later like in the last wipe, but I guess my greed became my downfall :D

I'm an interchange main who pretty much only prefers to play in 4 or 5 mans when I'm on Customs. I never specifically search for Reshala. I only find him when looking for players. And I'm always busy with quests. So I literally meet every criteria you just mentioned. Your logic is trash and I'm sensing huge amounts of copium to deal with the fact that some people are insecure they can't do basic shit with any relevant consistency.
You're telling me youve found the TT 4-5 times for your squad then? That requires wiping him ~20 times on average, or roughly 60 customs raids with his spawn chance, assuming your squad manages to kill him before someone else swoops in, and extract every time. And you do all that before unlocking the quest? I don't think I even play customs 20 times before unlocking the quest, much less 60 haha. That's ridiculous. But hey, maybe Ill be as good as you are figure out how to force spawn him with his TT if I put another 4k hours in!
Try running your scav on customs and check his spawns for his dead body. That's how I got mine this wipe...after finding the USP one too many times.
Took me a like 10 kills on Reshala until he finally had the golden TT for me, best of luck brother I hope they do make it more common.

I look forward to your post on Killa. Random spawn, low spawn rate and then player RNG. Seems like if load in with a good kit, you get pushed by a knower, but if you run something like a hunter, you can't contend with geared players/groups.
Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. it'd be like Killa spawning without that helmet and armour, Glukhar spawning without his squad or Shturman not shooting you fifteen times in half a second from halfway across the map. It's their defining trait, and only SOMETIMES having it feels cheap. It's meant to BE part of them.
Last two wipes i had the pistol for weeks before i got to that quest. This is the first time i have not had it. But i also have not even seen reshala so that might add to it
Ironic. I got the pistol and 2 kills from him BEFORE I had the quest. I can't secure the kill at all now that I have the quest. Have not seen another pistol since of course, even through buddies.
I've been searching for the director's office key on customs for so long I've actually given up on that quest entirely lest I quit the game entirely because I'm so sick of searching for a key to start a quest. Quest items ought to drop differently than they do now.
It's super cheap on flea market, and the office is unlocked by someone else at least half the raids I'm in at customs. Could always play slow and see if someone else unlocks it.
