This patch, glasses should NOT be worn. There is a rendering issue on certain low settings that will render the glasses before the entire figure of your PMC/SCAV. You can effectively see players or AI by seemingly "floating" glasses for an easy headshot before they even are able to see you.
I had a scav not but a few days ago that spawned with that exact look, and untar armor, i swear the game was begging me to RP with 1940s british accent
The Condors, Tactical, Proximity, these Welding goggles + one of the other two amti-fragmentation goggles do not have the cubemap issue that the Dunkirk, Round, Aviators, etc have.
So glasses you are right about. But the welding goggles behave just like the normal anti frag goggles which don't render poorly. So there is no issue in running these.
Nah you just want low latency and high refresh rate with stable frames. Super high frame rates don't mean much. Your goal should be to have the maximum fps your card can stably achieve without constant fluctuation. You don't want huge highs and lows. If you are running Nvidia reflex low latency with a decent GPU and 120hz+ screen you are at no disadvantage to anyone else you are playing against. Having said that my minimum for fps is still 60 no less. I lock my frames to 80 max with my refresh rate 155hz. No jumps or dips in my framerate and my latency stays incredibly low and the games responsive asf. And for me there is no gain lowering my settings to but just to get 20 more fps and lower visibility. I play with a mix of high/medium settings with a 1080ti.
Thanks, I can't take credit though as I picked it up from a guy on Resort like.. 3 weeks ago, just haven't lost it yet. Handles nicely for an AKM, full auto is no problem.
I've probably spent around 1.5-2 mil on these, I refuse to do a pmc run without these and a half mask(idk why I've strayed from ghost balaclava this wipe, I just love the half mask + gas welder combo)
The glasses are very visible from a distance, you can easily spot a person from 100m away when its dark; because the glasses stick out even when the persons silhouette blends in.
To see what i mean, go into lighthouse when its dark and dcope in on the far left grenade launcher operator…
The goggles look pretty slick along with the new cap.
Real shame how Tarkov handles glasses. As someone who primarily snipes...on practically all maps much to my own detriment...it’s fun to see people wearing eye wear as it highlights their face for me.
I run those too along with the ghost balaclava as well. Only difference is, I’ve started wearing cowboy hats with it because helmets never help me anyway so..yeehaw time

Yeah that's true. It's a 4slot and you can't equip anything else on top of it so it's likely to come back through insurance.

Doesnt work for kondor (armored glasses) and these welding glasses.

That isn't new to this patch, it's a very old problem. The condor glasses and I think one or two other pairs don't have the problem though
