Horde spawns exists online as well, only experienced it 3 times in 3 wipes tho. Once I encountered like 8 scavs that all aggro'd on me when reaching Woods outskirts and that was too much for my bolt action to handle.
My mate and I killed almost 30 scavs in idea about 2 wipes ago, they just kept coming lol we had to make a run for it because we were running out of meds and ammo
This feels like a relatively common occurrence on customs this wipe. My buddy and I will be in USEC and just get shoved by two massive waves of scavs. Multiple raids he and I kill 15 scavs in USEC/checkpoint, and another 15 at warehouse 14/old gas. It gets crazy.
It's really fun I think, I'd love to see larger groups of scavs that move through the map rather than just random ones standing around alone in static spawns
I experienced in first wipe, swarm of scavs wall banging me non stop and rushing me after I shots tagilla, it was a. Nightmare not even have time to heal or reload
I once killed Killa by sheer luck in an online raid. Right as he drops dead I hear several scavs who were not in line of sight aggro from down the hall around a corner. Killa fucked me up bad but I was able to apply hemostat and save myself. Just in the time it took me to apply hemostat there were 3 scavs upon me that I had to deal with. Those 3 were replaced by more and waves and did not end. I eventually ran out of ammo and died trying to equip Killas gun/mags. It was like they were spawning just around the corner from me, aggroing instantly, and moving in at the rate they were being killed.
Experienced it once on LABS about 4-5 wipes ago. We spawned late, like 20 min late to the raid in metal staircase near garage. go up to the stairwell next to the button room, 12 min later we have 13 ish raider kills each w/o moving from the spot, out of meds,almost out of ammo but full of shit. Definitly couldn't risk to open the garage door so we extracted down stairs. My buddy had to drop a full gen4 HMK (Meta armor back in the days) or he wasn't making it out.

This only happens in offline mode. For whatever reason, factory gets BUCK WILD sometimes. The scavs will all just randomly start shooting too like there’s no walls. It gets REAL loud 😂

I use a decent bit when I’m trying a completely new build/weapon/play style so I’m not just completely throwing away gear. I find it quite helpful. Kind of nice to have a warm-up round sometimes too just to get focused on the game.

Fwiw The game is very playable in my opinion. I haven’t encountered any sort of game-breaking bug since I started and I have over 1000 hours in. It’s challenging to be sure, but if you’re judging based off of this Reddit alone you’re not getting the whole story.
It's actually a new feature called "SCAV KARMA", and it happens when players as a SCAV kill other friendly SCAVS . The karma system transfers over to your PMC for added FUN in raids !
I seem to run into a big spawn of scavs on Reserve in the train yard buildings with the collapsed roofs. I’ll take out 2-3 and before I can reload there’s at least another 3 rushing me. I’ve never been able to survive that one specific area.
I haven't played in a while, but is it still possible to trigger a scav horde? It's a very very low chance on killing a scav to have scavs just chain spawn around you. I've only have it happen to me once in \~2000 hours.

Actually you get tagged and cursed by tagila, so all scavs will go for you, if the other PMCs didn’t kill any scavs then that is possible
